19/08/2026: The only establishment in the town, and a very pleasant one, for a refreshing drink. Saint Ginoux perfectly represents these typical small towns of Ille-et-Vilaine, with the stone of Monfort-sur-Meu.

The setting isn't amazing, but the small terrace is very pleasant, tucked away from the parking lot.
The food is excellent and the welcome is very warm.
The owner makes lovely little pieces of jewelry (I bought a pretty brooch). This adds to her charm. It's a must-stop if you're passing through Liffre. Definitely worth a visit.

Friendly welcome
24/10/2026: We had a lovely evening with friends, served by friendly waitresses. Unfortunately, when it was time to leave, the two security guards were very unpleasant and spoke to us disrespectfully. It's a shame to end the evening on such a bad note, especially since everything had gone so well up until then. A little courtesy would have been appreciated.

08/06/2026: Individual bungalow in a wooded park, one of ten bungalows, next to the star-rated hotel.
Poorly signposted, railway line nearby (thankfully, few trains).
Weared bedding (mattress...). Breakfast, eaten once at the hotel, buffet style, plentiful and varied.
Welcoming staff.

03/09/2026: A lovely little tea room. I love stopping by whenever I'm in Bécherel. The drinks are excellent, especially the tea. This summer they had original and delicious homemade iced drinks. The pastries are also very good. Never disappointed. And finally, the owner is incredibly kind.
21/08/2026: We were hoping to have a nice time, but the place was full, so it wasn't possible. We decided to get cakes to go instead. We were being served by a friendly young woman when the manager came over and curtly told us we couldn't take the two slices anymore! She preferred to serve them to people seated inside! What a shame to have to cancel our order just because we were getting them to go...

04/05/2026: The restaurant has changed owners, and therefore its name. It's a shame the food isn't the same as before. We've been ripped off; no more burgers, fries, steak tartare, etc.! What a pity.

Reservations are necessary as it's not open every day.
Note that the manager is retiring in early 2027, so if Creole food appeals to you...
04/09/2026: We received a very warm welcome in a lovely, peaceful setting. We came with a reservation for Friday lunchtime.
The chef delighted us. "A good Creole meal." If you haven't yet tasted good Réunion cuisine, don't hesitate. Approved by connoisseurs!
