24/02/2026: We stumbled upon this restaurant while simply looking for parking near the Châteaucreux train station—and what a wonderful surprise! The owner is exceptionally kind and welcoming, a rare quality these days. You immediately feel at home. The atmosphere is reminiscent of small restaurants from the 1950s: simple, authentic, and warm. The traditional French cuisine is remarkably well-executed. We ordered calf's head and wild boar stew, followed by a rum baba for dessert—everything was perfectly cooked, generous, and delicious. The Pinot Noir served at the table was absolutely memorable and complemented the dishes beautifully. And above all, don't forget the local water, Parot, which is also worth discovering. A truly wonderful find. Highly recommended.

09/03/2026: A Belgian specialty spot that's hard to find. It may not look like much, but you can get good quality snacks at a reasonable price. The authentic flavors of fried food are definitely there! The village terrace, next to several brasseries, offers a pleasant atmosphere (although it's right on the road). Service can be a little slow at times, but it's satisfactory for the price range. I recommend this little restaurant; it's a great place to stop on the way to Annonay.

06/01/2026: On a Friday evening during the off-season, the owner was single-handedly running the show, or rather, handling both the kitchen and the service with several unexpected tables. This didn't prevent us from being served promptly and enjoying simple, tasty food. The owner might seem a bit gruff, but he proved to be an efficient host. A minor complaint about the Liège waffles.

01/03/2026: The owners are lovely, professional, and attentive! We arrived at 1:30 pm, closing time is 2:00 pm, but no problem (as long as you don't linger too long 😉). The entire menu is available in vegan options!!! We had a delicious meal and even got some great ideas for walks; the setting is magnificent! Well done and thank you, we'll be back soon with more time 😉👍

01/02/2026: The atmosphere is truly warm and inviting, perfect for a wonderful time. The dishes are of high quality and authentic (even if they are less spicy than the original recipes). Furthermore, the service was impeccable, attentive, and friendly. I highly recommend this establishment.

It definitely deserves a standing ovation! Honestly, if you love metal and nights where you can really let loose, this is the place for you. King Cross has some of the best nights out in the area, without a doubt! 🤘
