27/09/2026: Disgusting, avoid at all costs. €5.50 for the set menu, touted as a bargain? In 30 years of experience, I've never seen a cashier or cook who didn't wash their hands between tasks. Oily, disgusting, revolting, to put it politely. Don't even think about going into the restaurant business if your initial training was as a tile setter. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

24/09/2026: From the moment the menu was presented, the service was attentive and refined. The meal I chose was excellent: a spring roll with its accompanying sauce. The red curry pork was simply melt-in-your-mouth tender, served with sticky rice in a delicious wicker basket. Thank you for these flavors of Vietnamese Asia. It's a shame I was only passing through the area.

21/09/2026: This is our second time at Le P'tit Bateau, and once again we were DELIGHTED by our Sunday meal. The dishes are first and foremost beautiful: a play of shapes, colors, and textures. They are veritable works of art, presented on plates that serve as exquisite showcases. For example, the Swiss chard displays a symphony of greens, ranging from the palest to the deepest brown, thanks to the searing of its stalks. The sauces, prepared over many hours, are served at the table, adding a final touch of color to the aroma. Much work goes into the preparation, resulting in dishes that reveal all the steps involved in the kitchen. The meats are astonishingly tender, with a wonderful texture and vibrant colors. The fish dishes are prepared to surprise and delight the palate. The desserts, conceived and crafted by the pastry chef, bring a touch of seasonal freshness to the meal. This time, it's the fruit that takes center stage. The flavors burst forth without sugar, pleasing the palate. A refined, delicate, and easily digestible cuisine served in a patio where the light enhances the food. One savors these delights of both the palate and the eye with gentle and charming pleasure. The young but professional service is attentive and meticulous. The conversation with the couple who run Le P'tit Bateau transported us on a journey along the Loire. We wish them a pleasant voyage on the waters of this royal river. The Michelin and Gault & Millau guides are flying high. And so, Le P'tit Bateau sails on!

24/08/2026: Excellent restaurant in Briare. A wonderful discovery. Everything is homemade (from appetizers to desserts), and it shows in the dishes. I ordered smoked chicken, and the smoky flavor was even present in the sauce. The steak tartare was also perfectly seasoned. The chef/owner is very friendly and puts his heart into his cooking. There might be a bit of a wait, but it's well worth it.
