19/08/2026: At Mei, it's all about the taste! It's not always easy to find the right time to eat there, or even to see the menu online. The restaurant's ambiance is simple and elegant. But at Mei, I don't want to talk about any of that. The most important thing is what's on the plate. It's simple, and the focus is on the flavor. I highly recommend it.

13/09/2026: We came to the restaurant on a Friday evening and it was a very good experience, with a new menu that was much more appealing than our previous visit a year ago. The meal was of very high quality and the staff very friendly. Remember to book in advance! I highly recommend it!

08/09/2026: We had dinner at this establishment, and it was nothing special considering the prices; we expected more. Furthermore, there was a nauseating smell in the dining room which was really unpleasant. Otherwise, the staff were welcoming and helpful, thankfully, with a bill of around €500. I wouldn't recommend it, but go if you want to form your own opinion.

12/09/2026: Lovely location in Orleans old town with lots of outdoor seating. My salad was lovely but I was surprised by the bao buns. Could be a cultural thing, but in the UK, bao buns are white fluffy soft steamed buns with spicy fillings (originally Chinese / Taiwanese I believe). We ordered them but what we received was more like what we would call spring rolls, sliced into pieces. Not a biggie, but worth bearing in mind if that’s what you’re looking for.

23/08/2026: Upon arrival, the owner was particularly unpleasant regarding our reservation. We ended up having dinner right next to the kitchens, which was truly unpleasant and certainly not what had been agreed upon when we made the reservation. We were celebrating a birthday, and instead of having a pleasant time, we felt like we'd been put in a corner, in a stuffy conservatory next to the kitchens. This was all the more disappointing as we had taken the precaution of booking in advance for this special occasion. The service was clearly strained, and this was evident throughout the meal, with a real lack of kindness and friendliness. As for the food, unfortunately, nothing exceptional. We came on a recommendation and expected much better. In the end, we were disappointed by the entire experience. For €145 for two, without cheese or dessert, we feel the value for money is absolutely not up to par. A word of advice: put a little more smile on your plates and in your dining room; it might make the bill easier to swallow.

01/10/2026: A fantastic find! We had a truly excellent meal; the meat was top quality, the portions were generous and beautifully presented. The wine list is also excellent, offering plenty of options to choose from. The atmosphere is pleasant and friendly, a real pleasure to be there. Special mention to Laurenne and Isabelle, two outstanding waitresses: smiling, professional, attentive, and genuinely delightful throughout the meal. Thanks to Florian, the bartender. And a big thank you as well to Gabin, the manager, for his warm welcome and kindness. A great place to eat in Orléans; we'll definitely be back!

20/09/2026: I have mixed feelings about our dinner. The service was efficient and the staff were smiling. I ordered the daily special, a chicken Milanese-style fillet that was way overcooked—it was almost like a nugget! The cleanliness of the pass area was a bit questionable, especially when the table was right next to it. But the atmosphere in the dining room was really great.

19/09/2026: A truly fantastic concept! We had a wonderful time, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The 80s-90s theme is brilliant: it takes us right back to our childhood with a real dose of nostalgia, but mostly a positive kind of nostalgia 😊 The decor is really fun, original, and very well thought out. You can tell a lot of work went into the concept, and that's what makes the experience so enjoyable. One small drawback, however, concerns the cleanliness of the place. Whether it's the chairs, the benches, or even the restrooms, some elements could use a good refresh and, above all, a thorough cleaning. It's a shame, because the restrooms often reflect the overall hygiene of an establishment. Nevertheless, this is something that seems easily improved, and once fixed, it would really allow us to fully enjoy this great concept! We had a great time and will gladly return.
