27/09/2026: We were a little disappointed. The main course was okay, but the dessert was a different story: the seasonal fruit salad was tasteless, and why a scoop of ice cream on top of fruit salad? The €30 bottle of Bordeaux (red) was served in an ice bucket with ice cubes? Furthermore, the waitress seemed a bit lost with the service. Please consider turning down the music, as dining with loudspeakers behind you isn't very pleasant. The setting is very nice, just a few minor details to iron out...

13/09/2026: We went there for lunch today. The wait was very long, over two hours, even though it wasn't very busy... The fouées took a long time to arrive and were very small, which was a shame... The waitress was very friendly.

18/05/2026: I'm still quite disappointed with my experience. It should have been specified on the menu that the bread had been replaced by these pieces of galette... I wasn't supposed to know that in a Breizth Burger the bread is replaced by galettes. It was very difficult to eat, with far too much salad. At €16, I find that a bit excessive. The servers, however, were very kind and smiling.

04/10/2026: A real find! We appreciated the warm welcome, the atmosphere, and of course the cuisine made with seasonal produce, all at an excellent price. Not to mention that, being gluten intolerant, I was surprised to see (it's quite rare) someone familiar with this type of need.

20/08/2026: When truckers are the last to be served… Hello, You two truck stops in Angers, and seriously, you can't even coordinate to avoid taking your vacations at the same time? It would have taken a little common sense: one year, one takes their vacation in July and the other in August, then you switch the following year. It's not that complicated! We truck drivers are on the road all year round. We supply food distribution centers, stores, businesses, and a good part of the economy that keeps running while many are on vacation. And when it's time for us to stop for a meal, we support your establishments by spending our money with you. But now, with two truck stops closed at the same time, what kind of message does that send to the drivers? "Figure it out yourselves!" “ The result: we end up forced to eat on the side of the road, in our trucks, or desperately searching for a place to park. And then we wonder why truck drivers are increasingly angry about the disappearance of truck stops… Unfortunately, I'm getting the growing impression that some establishments no longer see drivers as professionals who deserve respect and hospitality, but simply as wallets on wheels. When you're open, we're happy to come and eat and leave the bill. But when you should simply show a minimum of consideration for those who employ you, everyone's thinking about their vacation, and too bad for the drivers. So yes, I find that frankly pathetic. Taking time off, of course, is normal and you have every right to it. But wait!” Having two truck stops in the same area close at the exact same time is a huge lack of coordination and consideration for a profession that can't simply decide to park its truck for three weeks. A little common sense and respect for the drivers wouldn't hurt. As usual, when it comes to truck drivers: you're on your own... 😡😡😡 And then don't even think about asking why real truck stops are becoming increasingly rare. A word to the wise!! 🤔

20/05/2026: While passing through Angers, we discovered this restaurant. Really very good, warm decor, excellent food.

02/10/2026: Frozen, industrially produced spit-roasted meat; the amount of salt caused a burning sensation on the palate. It's a shame. Hygiene-wise, it's questionable. I have no doubt it must be very profitable.

03/09/2026: I've noticed they're putting a lot less meat in the sandwiches; some of my friends have made the same observation. I know them personally, though; we grew up together in the same neighborhood, and I've been going to the restaurant since it opened. It hurts me that they've come to this!

20/09/2026: The cakes are excellent, especially the almond tart and the Russian cake. The proud shopkeeper is very friendly and told us last Saturday that we were probably the most remarkable, not to say bizarre, table of the day 😂. I'll gladly go back.

Go for it without hesitation!

25/09/2026: We had a wonderful meal; the vegetables were cooked perfectly, and the seasoning was very well balanced. My son and I had a lovely time with the very welcoming and helpful owner, and the excellent waiter. I highly recommend this restaurant in Angers.

12/09/2026: A site with a confusing purpose: a mix of convent, prison, and art museum all at once. It ends up being nothing at all. The abbey, like many other sites, was emptied during the French Revolution. But no effort was made to recover or reconstruct the interior decor, either through purchases or loans from various museums. So, apart from the recumbent effigies, the abbey is devoid of everything that made it a religious site. Only the stone remains. But the abbey was used as a source of building materials and as a prison for over a century. So there were additions and destructions to change the site's purpose. Therefore, the abbey itself is in a sorry state and difficult to distinguish from the prison. Finally, they put a modern art museum in there. So you see a bit of everything all mixed together. We searched the site thoroughly and left disappointed.

11/09/2026: A place that feels airy, even though it was formerly a monastery or prison. Eleanor of Aquitaine, her husband Henry II, their son Richard the Lionheart, and their daughter-in-law are buried there. Very impressive and not at all creepy.
