09/11/2025: I hesitate to share this delightful place where we were warmly welcomed by the hostess, despite the late hour. We were seated near the fireplace and enjoyed the invigorating cuisine of L'Asphodèle, a welcome treat after a sometimes damp walk on the trails of Île aux Moines. Delicious and inventive burgers in a slightly surreal setting. Soft music. We could have stayed overnight; there are rooms available. A dreamy moment on an island.

24/07/2026: Hello. I wanted to leave a comment to direct families with several children to another restaurant. Thursday, July 23, 2026, 7:10 PM. Parents of three children, including a two-year-old and a five-year-old with a disability. We had prioritized a double stroller over a stroller and a wheelchair. This resulted in a five-minute wait at the restaurant entrance, where all the servers were busy setting up and/or working behind the bar. Not a "Hello/Good evening" with a glance that meant "I'll be with you in two minutes," no, just complete indifference! I understand that we were inconvenient. But until now, we had encountered establishments that did everything they could to accommodate our situation. I understand that you couldn't find us a quiet corner so as not to disturb anyone, but leaving people like that, in the entrance without a glance, a word... We would therefore like to thank a neighboring restaurant for finding a small space for us, where we enjoyed a delicious meal.

09/08/2026: I highly recommend trying this Italian restaurant if you're ever in Vannes. It's an experience not to be missed. Having booked our reservations that afternoon for the same evening, we were lucky enough to get a table for two on the terrace with a breathtaking view of the ramparts and the formal gardens. The pizzas, with their very thin crust, and the tiramisu were excellent. The service, provided by a team of young women, was efficient and very quick.

09/08/2026: A very pleasant restaurant, and what a view! The terrace is located on the ramparts of Vannes, which makes dinner all the more enjoyable. We had booked a table at lunchtime for dinner, and we were very happy with our dishes and desserts, as well as the service. The prices seemed reasonable considering how well we ate. Thank you!

And in the evening, with children, it wasn't easy; there wasn't enough play equipment for kids compared to the one in Vannes! Please consider improving this!

22/07/2026: Very pleasant atmosphere. Good value for money. Staff very attentive to guests. The pizzas are good with a thin crust. One small disappointment: the sorbet menu is very limited, with only two flavors: lemon and limoncello.

22/07/2026: A very nice menu, excellent cuisine. We had a wonderful meal, as always. The terrace and garden are open for dining, a real escape in the heart of the city. Pure bliss. Remember to book ahead, as there are two seatings, but it's still a victim of its own success.

12/08/2026: Excellent pizzeria, very well located on the port. Air-conditioned dining room, very welcoming and friendly staff. The pizzas are good and the salads are served with half a pizza.

09/08/2026: Disappointed by the owner's behavior We had lunch there 3 years ago and were satisfied, wanting to return We made a reservation for this Friday at 1 p.m. Coming from Lorient, there was an accident, so a delay was expected. We called and left a message on the answering machine. We arrived at 1:18 p.m. The owner greeted us with utter contempt, barely acknowledging our presence, and told us, "I'll take your order right away... if you come to the restaurant, Mr. Owner." Yes, I don't call that a restaurateur. Out of respect for real restaurant owners. We came to relax, and on top of that, we were on a beautiful beach, but no. 100 euros for two meals that ended at 2:30 pm. We were the last table. He tried to justify himself: "I can't answer the phone... yes, but we warned you..." And then a beachfront restaurant that finishes service at 2:30 pm? That's not bad. Dear sir, you take the money. People who travel to eat at your restaurant. At least know how to treat them, or do something else. There are jobs where you start at 9 am and finish at 5 pm. I have a lot of respect for people who work in the restaurant industry. But you are a bad example for everyone. Absolutely avoid this place.

13/08/2026: I was looking for an open crêperie near Grand-Champ, and I wasn't disappointed at all with my evening at L'Épi d'Or! The buckwheat galettes are simply exceptional, the filling is high-quality, and the presentation is beautiful. The cider is artisanal and fragrant; it would have been perfect a little chilled. I recommend ordering the dry cider, as it was already quite sweet. The menu is extensive, offering a wide variety of both savory dishes and desserts. The owners of this crêperie are incredibly kind and genuinely care about our well-being, as well as that of our four-legged companion: they offered us water without us even asking, in the sweltering heat. I recommend sitting on the terrace for a more relaxed atmosphere; however, it's very popular, so if you'd prefer a quieter, more secluded spot, you can go inside, which is quite pleasant, and you can even watch the chefs cooking right in front of you. I recommend it! Note: My relatives who took the Atlantic route told me that the leek fondue was very peppery.

16/06/2026: A charming inn nestled in a verdant setting along the river; we had a wonderful time with friends celebrating a birthday lunch. The menu is exquisite, the staff delightful, a truly excellent place and a delightful discovery. I highly recommend it if you're ever in the area!
