18/08/2024: We decided to visit Devres and found a nice restaurant. Their food is excellent! I had a cheeseburger, and it was just perfect. The buns were crispy and they toasted the cheese well too. The portions are huge and the other dishes on the menu look very appetizing. A lovely place for lunch.

08/12/2024: This restaurant doesn't look like much on the edge of the departmental road, it's old, it's ugly even I want to say. (the lady told me that he rented the place so maybe they don't have a choice decor) But it's good! Pleasant service! We are in the north!
Apparently everything is homemade, in any case the foie gras was there and it was better than mine. 😅 😅 😅 As well as the fries 😋
I highly recommend this restaurant 👍

21/09/2024: I asked for a cheese sandwich, I was served a ham sandwich so I was going to change it and specify that I don't eat pork and to my great surprise when I opened the sandwich that was replaced I could see pieces of ham which means that the ham was removed from the sandwich and replaced with cheese!..
This is unacceptable!

We had an excellent time in this magnificent, cozy and very well decorated restaurant, without being stuffy: warm welcome, professional and fast service, and tasty dishes, notably the Flemish carbonnades and the duck breast, perfectly cooked. Well done to the chef! Large selection of extra homemade desserts; all at a more than democratic price.
If it had been possible I would have given it 6 stars.

14/09/2024: Après une journée à bagatelle nous avons fait une halte à Berck et nous avons fait le choix de prendre crêpe gaufre glace chez vanille fraise. L'accueil est très sincèrement sympathique. Mathis est très gentil et très commerçant. Je félicite son charmant patron très souriant pour cette recrue qui est très agréable. Quand nous reviendrons, notre choix sera fait de nous rendre Chez vanille fraise. La crêpe faite devant nous était succulente et la glace très goûteuse. Merci à vous

In addition to the dishes we would have had to pay 8 euros for the air that a person unable to eat would have breathed while other members of the group were eating.
(By the way there was plenty of room)

26/09/2024: What a great little bar! It was a quiet Tuesday evening but we enjoyed our time at the bar and were grateful to be let in with our dogs (I just wish we could have had another drink and not had to get up to early the next day). Great selection of beers and spirits and I finally got to try Picon. The food was good too, a mix n' match selection of things like frites/ pasta or salad, topped with meat, cheese, onions, cornichons and lots of different sauces etc., - you choose what you want then it arrives piled up in a basket! The lady who served us was lovely, and took the time to answer all of my questions about how to drink Picon. We will definitely we back!

A story of the train that made us come...
Well, what a beautiful place, finally a place that resembles us.
Superb welcome, great way of doing things, everything is possible on the menu, we can share everything very well, the important thing is that everyone is satisfied and that we can taste several dishes.
Everything is local apart from just the pickles and fried onions, otherwise everything is homemade and very fresh.
Excellent local lemonade, great special coke. I'm not telling you the flavor of cheedar cream and pink praline cookies... ''divine''
And to think that we never went that way... Try it, you'll see!
