06/10/2026: Not having time to choose your pizza and having to force yourself to take what you don't want because they're in a hurry to get the order processed, barely disappointed at first. I didn't even want to try one. And they'll respond to this bad review by saying I was drunk, just like with the other bad reviews they've received, because they don't accept criticism. And considering the other comments I've read, I'm glad I left before ordering. If you hate working Sunday evenings at 8 pm, change jobs or close on Sundays, thank you. I think it's more likely that you're the ones with a frustration and feel compelled to vent on people who give their opinions. We only have to look at your reviews. You drown out the bad ones with the good ones so we don't see anything. Of course, I'm unhappy, and I say so whether you like it or not. But I also say it when it's good. Like the other comments mentioned before, you don't accept criticism. Furthermore, there were excessive wait times and you were impolite to boot.

27/09/2026: The pizza was very, very good, I highly recommend it.

02/09/2026: The staff were really friendly and helpful despite our language difficulties. The pastry selection was really good

18/08/2026: Nice location, affordable and honest food. The bathrooms are a bit dirty. Wheelchair access is available even on the second floor where the bathrooms are located.

04/10/2026: Very good and original. Thank you!

03/10/2026: Excellent from beginning to end!

02/06/2026: I highly recommend this pizzeria. I've ordered twice and honestly haven't been disappointed 🙏 I highly recommend this place.

11/04/2026: Quick and efficient. Very good pizza

20/09/2026: Excellent restaurant. The food was super good and the service was great too.

08/09/2026: A very good restaurant; the pizzas were delicious, and we had a lovely time with friends. You can even watch the chefs working next to their pizza ovens, which gives the restaurant an authentic feel.

08/05/2026: A very pleasant stay at Camping du Bois de Valmarie. A good campsite, the mobile home was clean and well-equipped. Perhaps a small television would have been a welcome addition, even just to watch the news, for example. We were a little disappointed with the jacuzzi area, which was too cold for our liking. Initially reserved for adults (18+), the pool was repeatedly filled with children (with their parents in the sun loungers...). Why not implement supervision, if it isn't already in place? On the plus side, the mini-market isn't too expensive for basic camping supplies, and the site is well-located. Bicycles, a griddle, and paddleboards are available for rent.

03/05/2026: We were only there for two days, that was enough for us.

05/08/2026: A very good experience at this restaurant! The pasta is excellent, flavorful, and well-prepared. The service is pleasant and the atmosphere is warm. I will gladly return. I recommend it!

05/08/2026: Honestly, I went there last Sunday around 1:10 pm. The service was impeccable, the staff very welcoming and friendly – it was a real pleasure 😊. The food was excellent; I had a generously topped pizza, just as it should be, and my partner had a Milanese cutlet which she found exquisite. The desserts were classic but good 😊👌🏾. I highly recommend this restaurant.

03/10/2026: Excellent experience. A really good pizza delivered quickly and with great kindness! We'll miss you now that we've moved.

11/09/2026: Excellent pizza and a really warm welcome!! Look at this delicacy, the di bufala!!!

02/09/2026: It's not great, frankly... the pizzas don't really have any taste and the texture is more than average...

20/08/2026: Pizza ordered and received today, extremely salty ham

21/08/2026: Excellent pizzeria! The owners are absolutely lovely and the pizzas are truly superb. The service is incredibly fast, always with a smile and a great atmosphere. We arrived as a group of three at 10 pm and they welcomed us – very kind of them. I highly recommend it!

14/08/2026: I was warmly welcomed and they were kind, but don't listen to the reviews, it's inedible. I had food poisoning, stomach pain, and vomiting. The products weren't fresh, and the hygiene is appalling. I'm extremely disappointed. It was the worst pizza I've ever tasted. I strongly advise against going there. I know cooking; it's my profession, and I don't see what the problem is.

16/10/2026: Very friendly owner Delicious pizza Fair prices I highly recommend this place for your pizzas Remember to order your pizzas in advance to avoid waiting

05/10/2026: On October 2, 2026, I arrived at Pizza du Donjon at 6:50 PM to get my favorite pizza, a Breton one, which I hadn't ordered. I waited patiently, but not a "good evening." Visibly overwhelmed, the owner took seven phone orders and finally, at 7:20 PM, asked me what I wanted. His response was, "You need to make your presence known, sir." I almost asked him if he didn't want my glasses. There were only two of us at the counter. "Ah, sir, you didn't make a reservation. I can't make it until after the phone order," he said, even though I had arrived before all the phone calls. He even told me aggressively, "I prefer taking phone orders to serving customers in front of me." Clearly too stressed and overwhelmed, if he can't handle pressure, he should find another job. The way he responded was outrageous. I still can't believe how he brushed me off. He even gestured with his hand, practically telling me to get out! I was polite and didn't even get angry. In short, an address to absolutely avoid, at least because of the service, even though I used to like their pizzas. I remember a line from a song by Hervé Villard, "Capri": "We'll never go there again."

28/08/2026: Superb experience! The fish is fresh, delicious, and the staff are very attentive.

28/08/2026: Everything was absolutely delicious, fresh produce, excellent service, and the location is very pleasant. Thank you again!

10/09/2026: Great restaurant, everything is homemade! The staff are very welcoming. We ate very well at a very reasonable price.

17/08/2026: We ate at this pizzeria for lunch today and honestly, we loved it! 😍🍕 The pizzas are amazing and huge: we were stuffed! 😂 And as a bonus, we got to take our pizza home! 🍕 The salads are also very good and the ice cream was excellent 🍨. We received a super warm welcome, the service was very fast, and the place is really pleasant. And above all, the prices are more than reasonable considering the quality and the generous portions! A fantastic find, we 100% recommend it and we'll definitely be back! ❤️

20/08/2026: Overall, it was good. We ordered two kebabs and two tacos. The kebabs were fine. But the tacos were a different story; the white sauce turned into a vinaigrette, and there was a ton of oil inside. The rest was good, but I wouldn't recommend the tacos.

07/08/2026: The dining room is very dark and suffers from a serious problem with kitchen smoke extraction. The service was adequate, but the kebab was too salty.

27/09/2026: I've been ordering pizzas from them for 20 years, always consistently good, perfectly cooked crust, nothing to complain about. But this second order was completely different: too much tomato sauce, not soft at all, no cheese flavor whatsoever. Very disappointed.

09/09/2026: Best pizzas in Périgueux, without a doubt, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Deserves 10 out of 5 stars.
