04/11/2024: Poor! ....frozen ingredients! Right down to the burger bun, the butcher-style burger steak.... 😂...a sole!!!! A place where you have prohibited posters everywhere!!!! Well, the formula was mediocre and so low-end. The worst part is that the owner of this place harassed me to delete my comment by disturbing me on a café terrace..... By telling me his scenario..... I'm sorry but a hamburger costs 2€.... And again!!!!! And ask for more than €12.....it's a tourist trap!

06/12/2025: The pizza was inedible. The cheese wasn't cheese, the meat had no flavor, and you couldn't find the tomato sauce. In short... when you pay 17 euros for a pizza (in a pizzeria), you expect better quality. Awful!

08/11/2025: Be careful, check your receipts before paying. We used to come here regularly, we were there last weekend and this weekend, and when it came time to pay my bill, they told us, "You came last week, you paid, our waitress made a mistake, there's a €17 discrepancy, now you have to pay." Well, no, if there was a till error, the restaurant must take responsibility, and it's not our fault. On top of that, we were called thieves. A letter will be sent to management regarding your practices. I didn't pay, and no business ever asks for payment when one of its employees makes a till error. Avoid this place! Luckily, Atlantis is much more open than this. It's no wonder you only have 3 tables per service.

28/09/2024: Excellent cuisine, very friendly and attentive staff, all in quick service. We even take leftovers in case we don't finish the plate! The possibility of ordering pizzas (excellent and plentiful) is pure joy. I highly recommend. 👌👌👌

21/09/2024: I recently dined at L'Escalet restaurant and was very disappointed with the experience. I ordered octopus and polenta, but the octopus totally lacked flavor, and the polenta was a mess, completely liquid. It is surprising that such a poorly prepared dish is served. In addition, no atmosphere is created by the restaurant. They seem to take advantage of the setting of the port of La Ciotat, attracting tourists thanks to the night market, without worrying about the quality of their offer. These visitors will leave without even knowing the flavor of good polenta. The service was not up to par either. We were placed in a corner, not really taken care of, and the waiter spent his time making jokes about the tourists, rather than focusing on the customers present. It would have been more appreciable if he invested more, especially towards local customers who expect a minimum of quality on their plate. To top it off, when choosing desserts, we were assured that everything was homemade. Unfortunately, the dessert we chose was covered in industrial whipped cream, which was very disappointing. In summary, Escalet no longer meets expectations, both in terms of quality of dishes and service. I no longer recommend this address.

31/08/2024: We come regularly. Saturday evening at 9:20 p.m. we were turned away like trash by an arrogant waitress whom we ended up calling out because this person ignored us several times while we were waiting in front of the restaurant. Several tables were available but we were refused access because supposedly there was no longer a single table of 2. While all the tables are tables of 2.... in short.... very disappointed with this behavior. 2 loyal CUSTOMERS lost despite the good food. Fortunately in Chalon there is choice and still friendly and respectful people.

16/12/2024: Good pizza. We decided to eat on the terrace because there was no room inside. In December. Nothing tells us that we had to pay 3 euros more. No credit card. We ate quickly given the cold. Otherwise good pizza

15/11/2024: Pizzas not worth the detour, mediocre quality and far too salty. Bring a bottle of water for the night. For the rest, allow 2 euros more because you eat on site (indicated nowhere on the menu) and finally, the last surprise, no credit card. Fortunately it was during a vacation that we are not ready to return

12/12/2025: We just left this establishment, which we've made a habit of visiting every year when we come to the Vosges. The waiter didn't understand anything we asked for and always just answered "yes." We ordered a gerommade and a reblochonade. The charcuterie platter arrived, and five minutes later, the grill and fondue pots. Then nothing. After ten minutes, without even starting to eat, we had to ask for our potatoes. We had to go to the website to prove that potatoes were included in the menu... Unbelievable, a waiter who didn't know the dishes! We waited another ten minutes for these famous potatoes, which finally arrived in a small quantity of four for two people. It was the same story with a carafe of water and bread; the waiter never took a note and forgot everything. The service was disastrous; we will not be returning to this establishment.

12/12/2025: But what happened? A place I used to go to just 2 years ago, full of enthusiasm... today we return... disappointed from the moment we enter... it's cold... so we place our orders, we get fondues... barely have we had our aperitif served when the main course arrives... salad and cheese... we wait, the fondue set is already missing... it arrives after a few minutes... I think to myself the waiter must have noticed that we were still missing the potatoes... which were listed in the dish. We didn't even have to ask... they brought us four potatoes for two people... we also asked for bread because it wasn't included either... so we had to wait about 10 minutes to start... anyway, I pointed out that the potatoes were supposed to come with the fondue... he seemed surprised... the same thing happened with the drinks; we had to ask for them... so before we finished eating, the machine was turned off... in short, disappointed... you've lost two customers... I won't be going back... €58, we stopped there, so disappointed... we won't have any trouble finding better... whereas before it was so good
