24/05/2026: Every February, we return to Mont-Louis and honestly, Le Central is a very nice place: simple, with good bar food and typical Catalan dishes. Everything is very clean. Thank you!

26/04/2026: Fantastic experience at Bar Le Central in Montlouis! We had a truly excellent meal: everything was delicious, fresh, and prepared with care. Special mention to the manager, who is incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive from beginning to end. Despite our lateness (we had a reservation for noon), she kindly waited for us until 2 pm without any problem, which is becoming rare and truly deserves to be highlighted. Once there was no wait, the service was quick and efficient in a pleasant atmosphere. In short, a place I wholeheartedly recommend! We will definitely be back 🙂

03/05/2026: Excellent pizzas, just like in Marseille. Wood-fired pizzas are not the same as electric ones. The manager is very friendly, never disappointed.

23/02/2026: Since the bartenders changed, the pub is once again worth a visit for an evening in a slightly underground and chill bar in Perpignan. Big plus for the darts. The kitchen is no longer there, so don't rely on the menu.

26/05/2026: I bought a sandwich around 11 am from this bakery that, according to the packaging, makes quality products 😂 well, let me tell you, the bread was stale (not fresh), the salad was several days old. A plain sandwich full of tuna water, no sauce whatsoever. It ended up in the bin for fear of getting food poisoning. The health inspectors should pay them a visit...

25/04/2026: Great for the first day after arrival. After that, not much choice, which is a shame.

20/04/2026: Pizzas cost €12-15, we ordered 4 and the taste was terrible, the dough had no flavor and neither did the toppings, whether it was the seafood or the ham used on the pizzas.

13/03/2026: Fantastic experience at this pizzeria on the port of Argelès! The welcome is warm, the service is quick, and the pizzas are truly delicious. The crust is perfectly crispy, and the ingredients are fresh and generous. You can tell the products are high quality. The atmosphere is very pleasant, especially with the view of the port; it's the perfect place to spend quality time with friends or family. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

24/05/2026: The hostel falls far short of its promises. The so-called spa is no real spa; the pool water is too cold to swim in. There are no bathrobes that fit, and those provided are dirty and stained. A constant odor of urine, mustiness, and wet dog pervades the hotel. Dogs roam freely, going in and out of the kitchen, while stuffed animals occupy every corner of the hotel. There is dog hair on the tables. The owners are unfriendly and unwilling to welcome their guests. The "gastronomic" meal is not a gourmet experience, and there is no option to choose a course. I would not recommend it, even for a single night.

07/05/2026: Beautiful place, great views, and above all, excellent service. The bar is more than good, and the food is delicious. We didn't stay overnight, but judging by the bar, terrace, and restaurant, it must be top-notch.

02/05/2026: The food was passable, but the portions were very small for some dishes. Given the price, we expected better. The dishes looked appealing on the menu, but the actual food was very disappointing. Not all the desserts on the menu were available.

23/12/2025: Authentic and very good cuisine. The presentation could be better, as could the portion sizes (no sauces offered), but be aware of the drink prices. It's a kind of authentic couscous, 'just like homemade'. The owner is very welcoming, and you can feel his passion for the ingredients. The only drawback preventing us from giving it 5 stars is the price of the drinks. €9 for a glass of local wine and €8 for mineral water is excessive and detracts from the otherwise excellent value for money of the dish. We will gladly return if the drinks menu becomes more reasonable or if it includes some extra touches (salads, complimentary sauces).

21/12/2025: Okay, but could be better. There were no menus, nor harissa sauce, which is normally served with couscous. The tables are too close together, which detracts from the privacy.

31/05/2026: Service needs improvement. There were no napkins, the sundae was poorly served and the usual portion was missing, and the children's sundae was served in espresso cups. My daughter has never eaten such a small ice cream. When I asked for extra peanuts, they pointed out that they don't normally give them out... why don't they sell them then? You can tell McDonald's is trying to cut costs everywhere.

31/05/2026: Dirty outdoor tables, unfriendly staff, forgotten order, cold fries, €50, you leave feeling so starving you have to kill a cow with your bumper!!

30/04/2026: Honestly, it might seem like a small detail, but I asked for a local specialty and she suggested a Catalan doughnut, which was actually very good. And when I mentioned another pastry in the display case and asked if it was homemade, I wasn't pressured to buy anything else and was simply told "no." For that reason, 5 stars!

13/09/2025: We are staying at the hotel, which is lovely and the staff are very nice but I had the worst steak of my life at the restaurant and will be avoiding for the rest of the trip. A tough and gristle filled, unpleasant piece of meat. I left most of it, and it wasn’t cheap.

18/08/2025: Extremely disappointed. From the department and quite fine gourmets and knowing how to cook well (according to our friends) we scour the surrounding restaurants, in all price ranges, to treat ourselves. Given the advertising of this establishment which prides itself on creative and original cuisine with seasonal vegetables and the fact that the establishment is listed among the Toques blanches du Roussillon (L'Almandin, La Balette, la Galinette, Le Clos des Lys which we loved) encouraged us to try it. Even though it is August, the menu is more than meager, very little choice and not very original. The lack of choice can sometimes be a guarantee of quality and freshness but there is a big disappointment. My husband orders an octopus carpaccio: microscopic at 14€ and tasteless. I ordered a melon and pepper gazpacho and watermelon brunoise with olive oil and basil, normally served with focaccia, but I was told there was no focaccia, even though that was the exact combination I liked. So I didn't order anything because foie gras at 40 degrees, no thanks, and I'm fed up with farmed salmon. In addition, we will appreciate the accompaniment of chicken carpaccio with raw vegetables (carrots, kohlrabi or celeriac (I have a doubt), bagged salad which, as everyone knows, are summer vegetables!? All unseasoned and no spices, herbs, NOTHING. As for the main dishes, there is still little choice. We opt for the fish from the market at 23 euros (sea bream fillet) and the grilled sea bass fillet suggestion. Already, only one fillet, not even 100 g of fish! On the other hand, regarding the cooking, nothing to complain about. If only to compensate for the meager portion of fish, the accompaniment was correct.... As seasonal vegetables in August, "cauliflower puree" which is still digestible because at 40 degrees we do better and sweet potato puree, 2 tablespoons of each. The best part: the lazy chef "taped" (that's the word that comes to me and which suits me) under the fillet The fish, the same raw vegetable salad as the octopus accompaniment (kohlrabi and carrots), always unseasoned. The manager wanted to offer us dessert, which is very commercial, but when it's not good, it's not good. When I got home, I quickly cooked myself a meal. In short, we tried it and we won't be going back. There's no shortage of good and excellent restaurants in Roussillon! The setting, however, is very refreshing and peaceful. In conclusion, poor value for money.
