25/07/2026: We were supposed to eat at the kebab shop next door, but it was closed, so we decided to get a pizza. The service was disastrous. The waitress was very rude, saying she was alone and we had to wait, that she couldn't be everywhere, even though the terrace was empty. We should have left. I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant. In fact, the people at the next table left without waiting for their food.

27/06/2026: I've rarely eaten pizzas as good as these. The service is very pleasant and the owner is exceptional; it's lovely because it's not every day you're treated this way in a restaurant. I highly recommend this pizzeria.

31/05/2026: Very disappointed by this experience. The pizza fell far short of our expectations: very thin crust, sparse toppings, and, most importantly, tasteless. The value for money was unsatisfactory. However, the most regrettable aspect was the service. The owner was unpleasant and unfriendly, which made the meal even less enjoyable. A restaurant isn't just about what's on the plate; it's also about how customers are treated. I do not recommend this establishment and will not be returning.

04/05/2026: The welcome is always so friendly, the setting traditional, the atmosphere convivial. But the couscous is simply amazing. We've been coming for several years now, and it's always just as delicious and generous. This couscous reminds me of my grandfather's; it's homemade, with fresh ingredients, the meat is cooked to perfection (the lamb falls apart with a fork), the merguez sausage is juicy and flavorful, the veal kebab is perfectly cooked, the vegetables (unlimited, but plenty) are crisp and cooked, the broth is fragrant, and the semolina is real handmade semolina (unlimited, but plenty). I'm a big couscous eater and always leave completely satisfied without even asking for seconds. They also do takeout (bring your own containers, and it's also very generous; we've done it before). The service is very friendly, welcoming, efficient, and discreet. In short, a very good address in Chalon (we go back regularly and we are never disappointed).

23/04/2026: Excellent meal!!! We enjoyed absolutely delicious couscous and tagine, and the portions were so generous we could barely finish them!!! On top of that, we had a very pleasant time chatting and joking with the owner!!! It's an experience we highly recommend, and we'll definitely be back when we're in the area again!

08/06/2026: A real stroke of luck for our cycling group!** We stayed at the Hostellerie Bourguignonne with our cycling group and were absolutely thrilled. After a long day on our bikes, we received an incredibly warm welcome. The rooms are stylish, very clean, and offer exactly the comfort and peace and quiet you need after an active day. The culinary highlight in the evening was also fantastic; the kitchen spoiled us with first-class dishes, and the next morning a generous breakfast with a great selection awaited us, so we were perfectly fueled for the next leg of our journey. For cyclists and anyone who appreciates warm hospitality and excellent food, this place comes highly recommended – we felt completely at ease, would love to come back, and would like to thank the entire team!

14/06/2026: This restaurant is a disaster: reservation at 7:15 pm, order taken at 7:55 pm, two rib-eye steaks ordered: cooked medium. Look at the picture. It's anything but a rib-eye. What's more, the waiter asks, "The cut of beef?" Practically inedible. Doggy bag for my dog. At €33 for a rib-eye, that's outrageous! Really disappointed. And the restaurant was nearly empty considering its capacity!

13/06/2026: Note: The restaurant is no longer open on Mondays... We wish the young owner, Lenny, every success. No doubt this brasserie will soon reclaim its place as a traditional restaurant in Chalon. Kudos to the chef, who clearly knows his craft! The service from Angelina is friendly and attentive: all the ingredients are there for a pleasant lunch in a peaceful setting, with healthy and varied food of good quality and generous portions. We highly recommend this lovely restaurant and will definitely return.

09/05/2026: We ordered four pizzas to take away on a Saturday, and it was a total disappointment. They were under-topped and didn't look like the pizzas in the photos. We won't be back. I don't recommend it.

05/07/2026: I went to buy two baguettes and a few other things, but when I got home I realized I'd left my baguettes on the counter. I went back to get them, but there was no more bread. I asked where the two baguettes I'd paid for were, and they'd been sold a second time! I'd never seen anything like it. Anyway, I had to wait 20 minutes for the next batch! Plus, the corn bread was completely stale. Very disappointed...

11/06/2026: Although well located, alas, a smile from the staff is rare in this establishment! You always get the feeling (I've been there several times, but ONLY for the terrace) that you're bothering them! I've often noticed foreigners surprised by this negative attitude! Some say it employs THE most unpleasant waiter in Mâcon. He probably has some connections with the city council to explain that!

08/04/2026: Since the change of ownership, the food, service, and atmosphere have all changed. I went to this restaurant in January or February of this year. Now the food is inedible. What a shame! Avoid it. I don't recommend it.

08/03/2026: Nice, unpretentious restaurant, friendly owner, a sweet little girl helps with the service, we ate well. However, the Christmas decorations still up in March felt a bit odd

24/03/2026: I think it's the only place where you can eat very late. The pizza is delicious; I even saw a worker inside making pizzas for the next day. The prices are reasonable.
