07/02/2026: It wasn't possible to order a portion of fries without ordering a main course. Appetizers alone weren't available either. We ordered before the kitchen closed, and five minutes later we were told the kitchen had already closed, even though it was clearly before then. We will definitely NOT be coming back!!!

19/02/2026: Handy location and good for a drink at lunchtime and snack. But tried it in the evening and it’s let down but the attitude of staff at all levels. Don’t make you feel at all welcome. No attempt to help us understand French menu despite asking. Expensive fillet steak came out well done when was asked for medium rare, then surprised when I actually wanted it changed. Brought bill without us requesting it and was clear they just wanted to turn the table. Guacamole is worth a try. Ultimately worth a visit for ease of access but plenty of better and more friendly options. They ask for reservations but no online system.

10/03/2026: A perfect stay as always at the Hotel Riviera in Aix-les-Bains! Formerly the Golden Tulip We've been coming for several years now, and it's always a real pleasure to stay here. The hotel is truly excellent: the welcome is warm, the rooms are comfortable, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Special mention to Margaux, the receptionist, who takes care of us every year with great kindness and professionalism. She is always attentive and does everything to ensure our stay is perfect. A big thank you to the whole team; we will gladly return!

03/03/2026: Disappointed by the buffet, thank you to the restaurant manager for making a gesture. Disappointed, no mules available!!: to go to the spa, even though the room was booked with spa access, apparently they were out of stock according to the staff. Forced to walk barefoot from the 3rd floor to the spa, quite unacceptable for a hotel of this category, a shame.

28/08/2025: The restaurant was closed on Thursday, August 28th, even though Google indicated it was open!

15/03/2026: It's sad because the owners and staff are nice, but the food doesn't live up to it at all: the portions are small (2 pieces of sausage in pasta costing over €20), the meat is cold and not very good…

01/12/2024: Arriving at 11:55 a.m. at the Riva without reservation, I asked if there was room for 1 person, the owner looked at the room of around 30 seats and seated me nonchalantly while only 4 people were seated, I said to myself that the service will be quick... I order a Milanese escalope and ask for the pasta without cheese because I am allergic and the answer was: the escalope is breaded with cheese like all Milanese escalopes…. Having eaten a few in my life it was the first time I heard that, so I choose a calzone answer: we can't because we don't have any more eggs, so I take another pizza. Finally at 12:20 p.m. when the room has 11 seats, the owner comes back and tells me that finally, she can make me an escalope without cheese… An escalope without any work with buttered pasta was served to me (26 euros per dish….) At 1:10 p.m., my bill: a Milanese escalope and a glass of rosé for 30 euros. I ask for a bill without details for a meal, I am told: it’s impossible… FYI, I have been eating at restaurants from Tuesday to Friday for 20 years and this is the first time I have been given this kind of response….. In other words, if you want to be unwelcome and eat at the convenience of management, don't hesitate, this is the right place.

05/03/2026: It's very good and excellent value for money, but you have to be prepared to appreciate the owner's "good" mood, which can put you off your food! It's a real shame, but the restaurant is full every lunchtime, so she doesn't care! So that means: reservations are essential, and don't be easily offended! Enjoy your meal!

12/02/2026: ⚠️⚠️⚠️As a loyal customer of this casino for years, I am increasingly dissatisfied, unhappy, and shocked by the way players are treated. Some employees, like Morgane, who is nonchalant, haughty, never smiles, and even dared to give me dirty looks despite being incompetent at her job, or the waiter, can walk by ten times without offering you a drink. Jany, the manager, prefers to chat with her colleagues rather than check on customers. As for Baptiste, his behavior and remarks were disrespectful, unacceptable, and crossed all boundaries. They shouldn't forget that it's the customers who pay their wages; goodbye to the generous tips of yesteryear. This unhealthy, shameful, and growing atmosphere should alert the manager, Mr. William Carré, as soon as possible. Deeply disappointed with what this casino is becoming, I do not recommend it to anyone.

08/03/2026: We came every morning to enjoy a good coffee on this lovely sunny terrace while the children were at ski school. The coffee and chocolate croissants are very good, and the welcome is pleasant and warm.

23/02/2026: We were ignored by the waitress inside who took the orders of three tables that arrived after us... We left and went to eat our crepes next door where the service was quick.

17/02/2026: Today we returned to this brasserie and everything had changed. The cod, which was served extra poorly, was a real shame. Perhaps it was too crowded. We were disappointed with the food today. Our cod dish was a shame; it's always been perfect, as the staff and decor are very nice.

04/02/2026: A very disappointing experience. I came in one morning with my daughter and ordered drinks. While waiting, I went to the restroom, intentionally leaving €10 on the table for payment. I later learned that a waitress, who appeared to be of a certain age, made inappropriate comments about me to my daughter, implying that I had left to avoid paying and putting her in a very uncomfortable situation. I find this behavior disrespectful, intrusive, and unprofessional. Making assumptions and talking about a customer in her absence is unacceptable. Out of respect for myself and my daughter, we will never return to this establishment.

12/11/2025: Everything's great! Just avoid the meat supplement; whether it's standard or with an extra charge, the meat is the same as in an apartment, so they get used to it!

17/06/2025: We went there twice during our stay in Aix-les-Bains. I can tell you that we, who had a big disappointment at lunchtime in another restaurant, really enjoyed ourselves. So much so that we went back two days later.
