15/09/2025: My boyfriend and I wanted to sit on the terrace, which looked nice. As soon as we arrived, the manager came over and told us that we absolutely had to order food and not just drinks, even though the terrace was empty and the customers there only had beers. We found this insistence very unpleasant. In the end, we ordered a platter, but it was really cheap and disappointing.

27/03/2026: Hunting down hidden gems, unearthing hidden bistros, that's my credo. Tucked away in a tiny village, bordered by a busy ring road on one side and the towpath on the other, this Norman restaurant is a haven for those in the know. No flashy posters outside, yet the place is always packed. Inside, there's no fuss, no stuffy waiters reciting the menu like poetry. The food is beautiful, it's delicious, and the value for money is excellent.

01/05/2026: FANTASTIC!!!!! What can I say about this wonderful restaurant? An extraordinary welcome, all the servers pamper you throughout the meal, always smiling, remarkably kind. The chef creates extraordinary dishes with remarkable skill; we were pleasantly surprised by cuisine worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant. The portions are generous. The place is cozy and warm, a perfect match. The prices are very affordable considering the quality and homemade quality of everything on your plate. The cleanliness is remarkable. The choices are very refined. We had reserved a large table because we were in a meeting. The service was very quick. We were the last to leave in the middle of the week. And at no point were we asked to leave. A fantastic restaurant; we recommend it to everyone. And for my part, I recommend it to my entire network. Bravo and thank you again.

25/04/2026: On a Saturday evening at 6 pm, we received a warm welcome on the phone and were given a table at our preferred time (8:30 pm) for two couples with two children, a total of six people. The reviews I'd read on various platforms made me hesitate, but oh well, let's give them a chance. The staff was very welcoming upon our arrival. The restaurant was full, but the overall atmosphere was quite noisy, making conversation difficult. We ordered aperitifs. The cocktails (Spritz and mojito) were good, decent but nothing special. Our main courses were: two scallops for €28, two pasta dishes for €18 and €19, and two children's menus (drink, main course, and ice cream) for €13 (veal escalope with cream sauce and spaghetti, overcooked but with a rather pleasant sauce). The drinks arrived, and we asked that the children (ages 6 and 2) be served first, which they did. Without exaggeration, three minutes later, all the dishes arrived at once. We barely had time to finish our drinks before they rushed to finish them. Outrageous... first mistake. The two bottles of wine arrived without proper service, opened and placed on the table without being presented or tasted... second mistake. The dishes we chose were tasty, but could have been a bit more generous. The scallops were fresh and perfectly pearly, but the "rosemary potato mille-feuille," for example, was ridiculously small. We had to ask several times for a child's drink and dessert... third mistake. And the highlight of the show: the moment to pay the bill. I paid by credit card without checking the details, out of habit and blind trust, but the total of €321 raised my suspicions; it seemed significant. Two minutes later, I realized, in two stages, that all the adult dishes had been doubled: €112 for the scallops, and the two pasta dishes were also doubled at €36 and €38, for a total overcharge of €93. This was refunded in cash with a half-hearted verbal apology, but no gesture of goodwill for the error (no complimentary digestif, for example). To make matters worse, the waiter attempted an ill-timed and clumsy attempt at humor: "We have to pay for our holidays somehow!" Game, set, and match. Disappointing. This confirms what I had read: avoid this place.

20/04/2026: + Charming little restaurant, a dollhouse atmosphere, like something out of a Smurfs' house. High-quality, carefully prepared cuisine. We got a table for two, without a reservation, on a Saturday at lunchtime. A pleasant surprise. A welcome emulsion, delicious whelk salad, and a generous rum baba. - The poached egg portion was too small: I was left wanting more. The service was a bit curt: it needs reheating 🙂

15/04/2026: This was our first reservation, but it won't be our last. The welcome was warm, the dining room, though modest in size, was well laid out and tastefully decorated, with ample space for everyone and a very pleasant atmosphere. The service was friendly, simple, and very efficient. The cuisine was imaginative, remarkably cohesive, and executed to perfection from appetizers to desserts. We loved the fresh, well-prepared ingredients accompanied by superb mousses. The desserts were in the same vein: original and delicious. We adored the extraordinary Grand Marnier soufflé, which is no longer available anywhere. Excellent value for money.
