27/07/2026: We went to the Casino for a short gaming session. The welcome and the staff were courteous. Unfortunately, we found there were few machines with a variety of games. It was mostly the same games with high minimum bets. We went to the restrooms during our visit and found them to be quite unsatisfactory in terms of cleanliness, smell, and maintenance. There was only one restroom accessible for men and one for women. It's a shame because the setting and the view of the sea are beautiful.

26/07/2026: Terrible! We just wanted to visit the casino, but without a paper ID, we couldn't get in. This casino doesn't even accept ID cards issued by France Identité, which are accepted absolutely everywhere in France. The service was more than inadequate. Avoid this place and go to the casino in Mers-les-Bains; it's much nicer and the service is excellent. @casino JOA, you could take note!

17/02/2026: Excellent value for money for this 2-star hotel, which is easily comparable to a 3-star. Large rooms and bathrooms, good breakfast served in a spacious room. It's also located in a quiet area, just a short walk from the center of Forges. I highly recommend it.

16/01/2026: A small establishment with a limited menu featuring fresh, homemade dishes. Traditional cuisine and fish, depending on the season's catch. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal from start to finish, and I loved the serving hatch, just like in the movie "La Grande Vadrouille" 🤣. The dining room isn't large, so it's very intimate, but it's not recommended for very active children. An address to remember, especially since it's listed in the 2026 Petit Futé guide.

26/07/2026: We arrived late on a Friday night in La Bouille and having checked in to our hotel were extremely thirsty. A short walk along the road was this clearly very popular bar La Escala. Very helpful staff (and customers who helped translate an order for us). Delicious cold wine and beer and a view of the Seine as well. With tables outside there was lots of locals coming and going all very cheery and welcoming. We didn’t eat but we enjoyed an hour or so in the cooling evening being made to feel very welcome.

02/08/2026: Hello We had a good meal. There were two of us, and we ordered the burger with cheddar sauce and chorizo, served with fries and Maroilles cheese sauce (the taste was different and it was just okay), plus a pint of beer and a cheese plate for dessert. Despite this, since the change of ownership, the atmosphere isn't the same, which we regret. It's more commercial than the family-friendly place it used to be. The prices have skyrocketed, even for the children's menu (€8.90). Furthermore, we went there in March, and I've since lost almost 400 points. It feels like we're being ripped off. We'll go back to give it another try.
