10/09/2025: I came to the town on a trip, I wanted to eat meat grilled over a wood fire and it ended up on the griddle, I wanted rare meat and it was black, overcooked, the fries were terrible to cut with a knife. Avoid, disgusting, atrocious, a bad experience. As I told you when I left, I am really very disappointed.

10/09/2025: Sunday afternoon, we wanted to have a drink on the terrace with some biker friends, 8 people, but the young waiter kindly told us that he couldn't serve us, that he was inside upstairs, while people had all just left. Apparently, this restaurant doesn't run after customers. So, we went to have a drink in the city center nearby and, to our great surprise, when we came back 30 minutes later, two couples were on the terrace enjoying a drink, etc... A total disgrace.

05/12/2025: I had the pleasure of dining at La Frégate yesterday, and I must say the experience was excellent from start to finish. The setting is warm and inviting, very clean, and you immediately feel welcome. The staff is attentive, smiling, and available without being intrusive, which truly makes a difference in a restaurant. As for the food, everything was absolutely delicious. The ingredients are fresh, expertly prepared, and the dishes arrive as beautiful as they are tasty. Special mention goes to the perfectly executed cooking and the truly balanced flavors. You can tell that everything is made with care, from the appetizer to the dessert. The atmosphere is pleasant and convivial, allowing for a very relaxed experience. The value for money is also excellent, especially considering the quality of the food served.

02/12/2025: We had a wonderful dinner, from the appetizer to the dessert; the first scallops of the season were a delight. Thomas, the waiter, was incredibly friendly and professional. We will definitely be back next year.

22/11/2025: Very disappointed. We were served an hour after our arrival, and the oysters weren't fresh; they must have been left too long in the kitchen heat after being opened! The burgers were completely cold, and the fries were overcooked! There weren't many of us in the restaurant, only 15 people, but the wait to be served was incredibly long. We saw that the young apprentice was managing the dining room alone, and the problem was clearly in the kitchen—they weren't keeping up!

16/11/2025: What happened? Where are the gourmet menus, where are the petits fours, where did the owner go behind the counter? He's now in the kitchen, leaving the young man (an apprentice?) to fend for himself in the dining room. It's been a while since we last visited. This restaurant is no longer a gourmet establishment. A platter of Iberian charcuterie where only the chorizo ​​is actually Iberian. Homemade fries that tasted like cardboard because they were overcooked (see photo), we had to send them back for more. The waiter offered semi-salted butter, but since they probably didn't have any, instead of admitting it, he used unsalted butter with a little salt on top. Personally, I'd never seen that before, but why not? I don't understand what happened to what used to be a very good restaurant. We knew this restaurant when it was packed on Sunday lunchtimes, but this Sunday lunchtime, only three tables of two were occupied. Now we understand why. What a disappointment! I'm not saying goodbye, I'm saying farewell.

02/11/2025: We came to the restaurant for a crêpe and a coffee. The atmosphere is really nice with a sea view, and the layout and music are also very pleasant. However, our glasses had large watermarks, which isn't necessarily dirty but detracts a bit from the experience, and the restrooms could use a little renovation. Apart from these minor details, I highly recommend this very welcoming place.

08/12/2024: For years we have always been well received but this time even more than all the other times, we celebrated our wedding anniversary and we were very well received by the young lady Florise with a beautiful smile, a big thank you for Florise, I strongly recommend the golf hotel.

20/04/2025: We went to this restaurant a few weeks ago with my team and frankly, for a lunch, everything was perfect. In terms of organization, the L'Ardoise team was very accommodating and agreed to send us the menu in advance so that we could make our choice and submit it to them so that the meal could be prepared on time. The prices are ultra competitive: concretely, Main course + dessert + drink + free coffee = €14.50. Perfect for the budget and in particular in this area of ​​Rouen which sometimes tends to raise prices easily. Certainly, the choices are limited, but that's not bad (in general, few dishes on a menu = guaranteed freshness ++ on the plate, which is the case here). The bagel is notably served with homemade soup as well as a small salad and for dessert, there are quite a few choices. Speed, seriousness, freshness, simple and effective. If you want to eat lunch in Rouen or for a meal with colleagues, I highly recommend L'Ardoise!
