22/07/2026: This place is iconic in Rouen, and as far as I'm concerned, I've never been disappointed. Tonight I ordered delivery. The delivery time was perfectly respected, and the driver carefully checked that the price on the receipt matched the price on the card reader. I ordered a set menu with beef and cheese skewers, salmon, tuna, avocado tartare with rice, sashimi, and maki. It was delicious, especially the tartare with the spicy mayo—the spice was just right. I'll definitely order again as soon as my craving for fresh, raw fish strikes.

15/05/2026: Huge disappointment: undercooked crepe, cheese not even melted, dried-out, cold mussels marinière with no sauce—disgusting—and a tasteless, overcooked burger. In short, avoid this place; La Mouette is not what it used to be.

14/05/2026: Extremely disappointed. The change of ownership has really ruined what used to be a good place. It's expensive and disgusting. Avoid it from now on!!

28/07/2026: I went to the Etretat casino for a drink and to watch the World Cup final. When I arrived, all the chairs were taken, and some people were even sitting on the floor, like in an airport. The restaurant, which was empty and had at least 100 chairs, was just a few meters away, but no, people were sitting on the floor. When I asked if we could have chairs, I was told no, but that I was free to sit on the floor too. My grandmother, for whom the casino was a chic place, must be turning in her grave. At 11 p.m. (in the middle of the match), we were refused a last drink because the bar was closed (not even a single announcement)... in short, customer service 0/10 - responsiveness 0/10 - welcome 0/10. That's not how you do business, guys!

28/07/2025: We went to this restaurant despite the negative reviews because we had been there before. I don't know if it's changed owners, but it was disgusting. Hygiene: dirty plates, sticky floor and tables, the wall above the buffet covered in dust, and especially the toilets... [The restrooms were in terrible condition]. The buffet was practically empty, with only a few sushi, spring rolls, and fritters, etc., served sparingly. No beef with onions, no spicy chicken, rice and noodles, etc. The wok dish was a brown steak, a ribeye steak, and a few skewers that looked like they were fighting for space, along with some seafood, but it didn't inspire confidence. We had to ask several times, and it was brought back in small quantities, not enough for the number of people in the restaurant. And the worst part is that what little we ate was bland, and the fried food was greasy. One positive point, and the only one, was the generously filled frozen desserts. 😁 When it came time to pay, I mentioned it and asked for a discount because we had barely eaten anything for €47.50 for two people. The owner, the waiter, and a woman spoke to each other in Chinese and burst out laughing in our faces! A disgrace! A total lack of respect! 😡😡 But I'm not going to let it go; it's unacceptable to behave like that! 😡 Conclusion: AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! NOT RECOMMENDED There are some very good Chinese restaurants like Le Bon Accueil, Le Pavillon du Bonheur, etc., and at least they respect their customers. They have a 4.1 rating 😄 either the ratings are old or the people have never really tasted good Chinese food... I would have preferred to eat McDonald's that evening, even though I never go there.

25/04/2026: My partner and I went there last night for a romantic evening, but after buying a €120 bottle of wine, security took it back following an altercation between some intoxicated people on the dance floor! We wanted to go home, and again! My girlfriend's jacket wasn't returned to us!! Credit card, keys, etc... what can we do? We're going to file a complaint to get our belongings back, it's outrageous!

10/04/2026: Stop serving alcohol to my sister. She's an alcoholic, okay, but there comes a point where bartenders have to refuse to serve alcohol to people who are endangering their lives. My sister is small with green eyes, she drinks a lot of white wine and doesn't eat much. She's about 60 years old, if you know who I'm talking about. Stop serving her all that alcohol; it's criminal.

13/02/2026: The saleswoman in the newsstand refused to top up my PCS card because I was using a translator on my phone. I consider this discrimination and a lack of respect.

18/05/2026: Absolutely terrible, but I have to give it one star to leave a review. You'll understand! Our Booking.com reservation for the Herring Festival weekend was cancelled at 12:18 PM...!!! On the very day of our arrival. The reason: temporarily closed on the day of our arrival. We went to the hotel to find out what was going on. The owner's explanation, delivered with incredible audacity, was that bedbugs were only found in two rooms during cleaning. Not before! And in no other rooms! We'll leave any future customers, regulars, and Booking.com to ponder this! As for us, locals from Rouen, who go to this fantastic festival every year and stay in many hotels booked partly through Booking.com for our trips in France, Europe, and abroad, we completely understand the mindset and strategy of this establishment located in the city center. Too bad for us, and good for the two who booked directly. We absolutely do not recommend it and we're definitely forgetting about this establishment. Avoid it.

11/05/2026: We had a problem upon arrival; we hadn't realized that key collection wasn't until 5 pm. We arrived at 1 pm, and the owner immediately found a solution so we could get ready for our event. She was incredibly kind from beginning to end, thank you again. The only slight drawback was that the rooms were extremely cold; the tiles were icy. Apart from that, my sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect, next to the beach and the train station. We were able to take a short walk on the beach before leaving, which was very pleasant.

08/04/2026: A place frequented by a bad crowd, although things have calmed down a bit since the terrace closed. Unfriendly vendors who simply take their money without any concern for their customers. A place that's useful in a pinch, but best avoided if possible!

06/04/2026: Not compliant with accessibility standards; I waited 20 minutes in front of the office before anyone paid me any attention. Unacceptable.

14/07/2026: Rude and unfriendly every time she's open! This woman has a serious problem; I don't understand how this business stays open.

11/07/2026: I dropped off my Vinted package and it was never sent. The woman told me she'd take care of it; I should have stayed and asked her to scan it in front of me. So I lost a package, which, judging by the reviews, I'm not surprised. Luckily it was only €3.

11/07/2026: Thanks for the "gift" with our two chocolate-banana crepes: food poisoning. I've rarely felt so sick. This is certainly not the experience one expects when dining out. I do not recommend it.

10/04/2026: Disappointed once again by this restaurant. Every time, there's a problem with the orders. Today, the soups weren't on my menu, and I got nine savory sauces when we'd asked for sweet and savory. Last time, I specifically asked for bluefin tuna because I'm allergic to salmon, and what did I get on my menu? Only salmon! In short, I won't be back this time, and I advise you against it too! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
