26/03/2026: The service at the start was okay, the lady who greeted us and seated us was nice and patient. After we had a different lady who was our waitress and often had an attitude.. We waited at least 20 minutes for our food to come, and we were surprised as we had not expected our food to look like that. I ordered the lamb, and it looked dry, colorless and tasted bland and farmy (as if it were fresh out the farm, like you could taste the farm smell in a way), potatoes were cold, and the garlic sauce did not taste like garlic sauce at all. It was almost flavorless. My friends ordered the pork, and they had the same problem with their meat taste and look. It looked overcooked, and dry, and again with cold garnishes/potatoes. Then they had a mysterious purple like blob of something on their plate, and wasn't sure what it was as it wasn't even described on the menu. The ladies sat at the front desk/bar and had a view of us and kept watching us to see if we would like it or not. Once they saw that we weren't pleased with our food, they started talking to each other, and stared at us. Our waitress had to give another bottle of water at a table behind us, and she stomped and ran into my chair, I don't know if purposely or not. And 30€ for a plate of cold, dry food???? Not worth it!!!!! Tourist trap.

12/03/2026: We came here for dinner based off of the recommendation of our hotel and it was a short walk, which we appreciated. AMBIANCE: Upscale, beautiful and nicely decorated with a wood burning fireplace to take off the chill. SERVICE: We were a wee bit late but still warmly greeted by the manager, I presume. When we asked to switch tables we were met with a bit of resistance but we were accommodated, while our server looked on in disbelief. At that point our entire party saw the look of displeasure on her face and we saw the manager lady making fun of us; she surely didn’t think we would see her. When they saw that we caught them they quickly recomposed themselves but we already felt the fake vibe and we could tell that we were 100% an annoyance to them for sure. FOOD & DRINK: We started out with three appetizers of escargot, foie gras and a charcuterie platter with local meats. For entrees, we had chicken, Tripes and sea bass. We had a very lovely bottle of wine but we decided to forego dessert due to the uncomfortable vibe, and they did not hide their relief. The presentation of the food was nicely done but the taste was somewhat underwhelming, and given the price point and the forced service, it was a disappointingly average dinner. I don’t know that I would recommend this place but as always, please support your local small business! 3/12/26

15/04/2026: A very pleasant surprise! Quietly located on Rue de l'Homme de Bois, this eponymous restaurant is pleasantly removed from the "noisy" tourist crowds. A warm and friendly welcome, a small terrace to enjoy the good weather, and a cozy, wood-paneled dining room to suit your mood. Highly recommended!

14/04/2026: Unfortunately, the restaurant didn't live up to our expectations. We looked at the place, which was nice and had decent reviews, so we decided to make a reservation for a seafood dinner. We sat down at a round table, in a cozy and quiet atmosphere. The staff immediately handed us menus and took our orders: we chose the appetizer + main course + dessert option. I chose the fish soup, the fish of the day, and the Île flottante, which reminded me of my grandmother. The soup arrived quickly; it wasn't exceptional, but more than adequate: fragrant, served with the classic croutons and cheese. Then? Nothing: a good hour and a half had passed and the main course hadn't arrived... we waited about ten minutes and asked: we were told it was on its way, and in fact, after another ten minutes, it did. The fish of the day is a portion of rice, completely overcooked and with thinly sliced ​​broad beans, on top of which lie three fish fillets, supposedly sea bream, but they're also overcooked and flavorless. To top it all off, a sauce reminiscent of roast meat. In short, an unsightly combo, not up to par with any cuisine worthy of the name. And it's been over two hours since we ordered! What can I say about the dessert? An egg broth (the consistency is correct) that seems watered down, dominated by a cube of beaten egg white with an unnatural consistency, as if they'd used a thickener, and a vanilla flavor. Oh, I forgot, the 1-liter bottle of "do-it-yourself" mineral water costs €6.50! Conclusion: you spend around €45 per person for poor-quality food, cooked in a completely questionable manner, with decidedly slow service.

25/04/2026: The Calvados is amazing! 👍 The chives are so fresh, they make your mouth water! 🫦 The Calvados is fantastic! 👍👍 The mussels were delicious and plentiful. The Calvados is good! 👍👍👍 The waiter was funny and welcoming; he even offered us the Calvados. And frankly, he's great! 👍👍👍👍 As you can tell, this is extraordinary. The Calvados is killer! 👍👍🥃

17/05/2026: Great place for ice cream! We had ice cream, milkshakes, and a homemade chocolate crepe, and everything was delicious. The portions are generous. Expect a bit of a wait on weekends.

17/05/2026: No one greeted us when we arrived; the waiter/owner was very unpleasant and dismissive. A Nutella waffle with a tasteless scoop of ice cream cost €8.50, which is extremely expensive, especially since it wasn't indicated on the price list. They added sugar on top of the Nutella to the waffle; it was inedible. And to top it all off, no goodbye as we left, but we weren't surprised given the overall experience.
