I know it wasn't a deliberate mistake, but it's still annoying.

16/06/2026: Unpleasant staff yelled at a child for touching a window, rushed the customer's sales pitch in bad faith, and hissed at them when they tried to be served! A disgrace!

The staff are always pleasant and smiling.

05/09/2026: Very unfriendly owner with an unnecessarily sassy response when I simply asked whether she offered any vegan options.
I was told that plant-based food is unhealthy and that she “couldn’t be a confectioner if it was vegan.” Honestly, being able to create delicious vegan pastries should be part of a confectioner’s skill set. You may choose not to offer vegan options, but claiming that vegan pastry somehow prevents someone from being a proper confectioner is simply ridiculous.
Also, does she genuinely believe that traditional pastry is healthy?
You are absolutely entitled to your opinion and don’t have to offer vegan options. But being uninformed about plant-based food while responding so condescendingly to a simple customer question is unnecessary and unprofessional. If you prefer to stay uninformed, that’s your choice — but please keep the attitude to yourself. ;-)
26/08/2026: Very strange policy. We bought sweets for €20, I ordered a coffee, my companion didn't want anything to drink since the shop was closing in 15 minutes anyway. I went inside to place the order. I placed it, and the older lady asked what my companion wanted to drink. I said she didn't. She said then we couldn't sit outside despite the sale, the fact that all the tables were free, and that we had to leave 10 minutes later. Terrible.

10/09/2024: Vue de l’extérieur c’est grandiose, vue sur le fleuve, terrasse fleurie et ombragée. Mais, déplaisante invasion de guêpes.
Les plats :
-Salade césar au poulet non pané, (ce n’est donc pas une salade césar).
-La flammekueche (avec supplément moustiques).
Ce n’était pas terrible.
04/09/2024: Eten was koud opgediend, koude steak (wat amper een steak kon noemen, doordat deze flinterdun is was deze uitgebakken terwijl saignant gevraagd was) en koude frieten ( + mayo gevraagd en niet gekregen).
Zeer drukke, chaotische bediening wat heel onaangenaam en gejaagd aanvoelt.
Steak tartare was wel handgesneden en lekker.

31/08/2024: I crostoni di pane farciti in vario modo sono la specialità di questo locale informale a pochi passi dalla cattedrale di Strasburgo.Possono essere caldi o freddi e vengono serviti accompagnati da abbondanti verdure.
Una buona soluzione per una cena non impegnativa.
In due, abbiamo consumato un crostone farcito a testa con contorno, accompagnato da un aperitivo alcolico spendendo 51 euro.

01/05/2026: Almost 7 years ago we visited Parc Hôtel Obernai for the first time and loved it straight away. The food, the spa that had just opened back then, and the atmosphere made it a place we kept coming back to whenever we were in Alsace, even if just for dinner.
We stayed at the hotel again recently, and a lot has changed. I didn’t expect it to top our earlier visits, but it did.
The new building is gorgeous. I love the design - the lighting makes you look great even with messed up hair and a red face from the spa.
The restaurant was already strong, but is now even better. Local ingredients with Asian influences, dishes that feel balanced, and portions that are the right size. What really made the evening was the service. The team at the cocktail bar was sharp and friendly, and our waiter Enzo made the night. Easygoing, good sense of humor, and great advice on wine. After asking he (and the chef) were very enthusiastic about doing the shared dining concept. Food, drinks and service 10/10.
It’s a bit more expensive than what it was 7 years ago but worth every penny in my opinion.

We ordered a burrito, a "salad," and nachos from Deliveroo.
- First, the salad: a complete joke, if not outright false advertising! I've attached a photo of the salad Fresh Burritos advertises on their website versus the salad I received 😉
It's a disgrace. The salad is supposed to be in a crispy wheat tortilla, but there was nothing of the sort. €10.50 for a measly little salad that I could have made myself.
- The burrito: once the packaging was removed, the sauce leaked everywhere, and the burrito was cold! We had to eat it on a plate, with cutlery (goodbye Mexico 👋).
- The nachos: €3.50 a bag with a measly 10 chips, and of course, the sauces were miraculously omitted 🤷
To top it all off, the restaurant is unreachable. Yet another franchise hiding behind a terrible customer service line.
First and last time for us ✌️
