07/08/2024: Unser Besuch im Restaurant war ein kulinarisches Highlight, das unsere Erwartungen in vielerlei Hinsicht übertraf. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet – jedes Gericht, das uns serviert wurde, war ein Meisterwerk für sich. Von den perfekt zubereiteten Vorspeisen bis zu den delikaten Hauptgerichten und Desserts konnte man die Sorgfalt und das Können des Küchenteams förmlich schmecken. Besonders beeindruckend war, dass der Chefkoch selbst in der Küche stand und die Speisen zubereitete, was dem Ganzen eine persönliche und authentische Note verlieh. Der Service war ebenfalls hervorragend. Das Personal war nicht nur aufmerksam und freundlich, sondern auch sehr gut geschult und konnte zu jedem Gericht und Wein kompetente Auskünfte geben. Unsere Wünsche wurden stets prompt und zuvorkommend erfüllt, was zu einem insgesamt sehr angenehmen und entspannten Abend beitrug. Leider gab es jedoch einen Aspekt, der unseren Besuch etwas getrübt hat: die Preise der Weine. Diese empfanden wir als unangemessen hoch. Für ein Glas Weißwein zahlten wir 18 Euro, obwohl die 75-cl-Flasche im Handel nur etwa 10 Euro kostet. Ein Glas Dessertwein schlug mit stolzen 32 Euro zu Buche, ebenfalls bei einem Flaschenpreis von rund 10 Euro im Handel. Der Preis für ein Glas Champagner lag bei 24 Euro, wobei die entsprechende Flasche im Handel etwa 49 Euro kostet. Während wir verstehen, dass in einem gehobenen Restaurant auch die Weine etwas teurer sind als im Einzelhandel, schienen uns diese Preise doch überzogen. Es wäre wünschenswert, wenn hier eine fairere Kalkulation gefunden werden könnte, die dem hohen Qualitätsstandard des Restaurants entspricht, ohne dass die Gäste das Gefühl haben, übermäßig zur Kasse gebeten zu werden. Insgesamt war unser Besuch im Restaurant jedoch ein kulinarisches Erlebnis, das wir sehr genossen haben. Mit einer Anpassung der Weinpreise würde der Abend zu einem rundum perfekten Erlebnis werden.

27/07/2024: Wer die Sterneküche mag, sollte diesem Restaurant einen Besuch abstatten. Für uns hat an dem Abend alles gepasst. Sehr hamonisches und aussergewöhnliched Menü mit stimmiger Weinbegleitung. Vom Team inkl. Vincent Favre wurden wir sehr charmant und sympatisch durch den Abend begleitet. Wir kommen wieder!

22/07/2024: Just driving around on a summer day we feel very lucky to find this restaurant It’s just by the Mont D’Arbois lift on the road to the Megeve Altiport and situated above a (closed in Summer) ski hire shop You need to climb stairs at the side and will find yourself on a lovely sunny spacious terrace Alternatively you might approach from above, golf driving range in Summer, piste in Winter Always a good sign for us is when French workmen are eating their lunch as it signifies quality and value, and yes, they were here We had simple but wholesome food and everyone was so friendly with nothing too much trouble for them Best croque ever! It may not be posh but we loved it and will make a point of returning on skis

04/02/2025: A top team, always smiling, the prices are a little expensive but hey, we're 1600 meters away, we're sure we won't get our prices back home. For around ten euros you eat very well. You can also find the team in the city of gets their pancakes are amazing, honestly it’s worth the stop

15/10/2024: A very beautiful menu, which changes regularly, with dishes that take you on a journey. The flavors are crazy! Very very pleasant team. It's always a pleasure to go back there.

23/09/2024: This was already one of the best places in Abondance but with the new owner it is a different level. Really good restaurant, the chef is especially very good in fish. Coquiles, Arctic Char are very well prepared.

25/08/2024: Ça commençait mal, ça s’est bien terminé. Nous venons avant 13h pour un apéro et un petit plat, une serveuse nous dit direct que ce n’est plus possible de manger. Et elle a un air dédaigneux quand on parle de spritz. Nous nous installons pour boire les verres. Et reposons la question pour grignoter quelque chose a la deuxième serveuse beaucoup plus souriante. Elle se renseigne et apporte toute la carte. Très bon plat du jour, risotto, assiette de fromage… Une dizaine de personnes seront prises après nous pour manger aussi ! Terrasse sympa et ombragée au bord du torrent. Cuisine fine. Mais un peu cher. Attention à l’accueil. Heureusement que la deuxième serveuse était là…

22/09/2024: We could not have hoped for a better place and crew than this beautiful venue where we celebrated our wedding this summer. While planning our wedding from far away, James was always so prompt and resourceful to help us with all the preparations. The weekend of our wedding itself was beyond our wildest expectations. The Farmhouse looked amazing, with beautiful mountain views in the background. Inside, the vibe was intimate and warm. We found ourselves congregating in the bar and lounge area with friends and family whether it was to enjoy a beer or have an impromptu reunion. James, Sam, Dorrien, and the whole team were so kind, organized, and calm throughout the entire weekend. The venue itself was magical from the gardens, tent, and lighting. The crew also perfectly integrated the decorations that we brought as well as the flower arrangements (they even saved the flowers and placed them throughout the Farmhouse for us to enjoy during the rest of the weekend). The dinner was delicious with generous portions, and again, so well-organized. Thank you to the bottom of our hearts to the Farmhouse crew to have made our wedding such a special moment.

13/09/2024: You will not regret a visit to The Farmhouse. The venue, location, staff, atmosphere, service, cleanliness, food, drink, interiors and overall comfort cannot be beaten. We had the best long weekend stay, where we celebrated our wedding with 100 friends and family - it was magical and every moment was unforgettable! I cannot wait to come back and visit.

13/08/2024: Au hasard d’une randonnée autour du lac des plagnes, nous avons poursuivi notre marche jusqu’à ce refuge pour y faire une pause déjeuner (nous n’avions pas réservé et heureusement qu’il restait encore des places, si vous prévoyez de vous arrêter, pensez à réserver). Quelle vue ! Et pour ne rien gâcher l’accueil a été très agréable. Une bonne salade des tinderets, une succulente tartelette aux myrtilles et un café et hop voici le moment de repartir non sans cette sensation d’avoir passé un superbe moment.

27/08/2024: We had reservations for 5 people for lunch in August. We asked for a table inside as it was hot and my mother (75) was recovering. Denied ! “Today we only serve on the terrace…”. However, the tables were set inside…. Personally I feel a little suffocated on this enclosed terrace. Arriving at the table on the terrace, lots of wasps... we were told that "it's normal, it's nature..." 😬 The dishes arrive: I chose a vegetarian burger: the bread is like soufflé and therefore hollow and dry when cut, and frankly, charging €38 for that is shameful. Beautiful dessert buffet. I will not return there because we did not have the service up to a restaurant of this range and we really take the customer for a sucker… Which is fortunately not the case in all the restaurants in Megève 😊

26/08/2024: Very disappointed by our visit to this restaurant: - prices applied without any relation to the content/quality of the plate (for a few dozen € more, you have access to a (multi-)starred restaurant) - the most approximate service (at our table and those of the neighbors) - a buffet of desserts or cheese at 24€/person (we discovered the price on the bill), for which I had an assortment on a small plate and my wife 3 unfortunate slices of cheese. For those who are still motivated, know that it is at will, so don't deprive yourself. We hate to "stuff ourselves", but if we had known the price before, we would have returned several times! There you go, we did it because it seemed to us that it was a serious house, it was the last one. In short, to forget quickly

20/08/2024: Une belle découverte pour conclure notre semaine en famille (12 personnes) ... Leur Malakoff un régal et leurs fondues nature ou aux morilles un délice accompagné de la "Petite rouquine". De plus l'équipe sympathique zu demeurant était à l'écoute, serviable et réactive ! Les yeux fermés.

20/07/2024: Magnifique, mais quelle belle découverte, allez-y en fermant les yeux. Vous allez être reçu avec un accueil chaleureux et que dire de la fondue…. Beaucoup trop succulente. C’est le meilleur restaurant des gets!!!

08/12/2024: For many years and always satisfied, I recommend the house smoked salmon or the seasonal foie gras. This is the entrance. I have always enjoyed the beef fillet and its vegetables. The boss will advise you on a selection of good wines to accompany this menu, with tasting and moderation. Very good assessment.
