11/04/2026: A very good experience; we ate very well, both the meat and the fish, everything was excellent. The owner and staff are friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Some background music would be a nice touch to complete the atmosphere.
09/04/2026: Absolutely delicious food with very friendly staff. Unfortunately, my French is really bad. 👍😀 But we still managed to communicate. The menu was only in French, which was a real shame. But I had the cod risotto and my wife had the scallops. Both were incredibly tasty. The chocolate mousse for dessert was divine. Therefore, this "little" hidden gem is highly recommended. 👍😀👍 Oh, and we also brought our dog, which worked out perfectly.

My colleagues tried the Flemish carbonnade and they weren't disappointed.
The service was good, and it had that traditional pub atmosphere.
It was my first time there, and it won't be my last!

18/04/2026: I've been to L'Arrière Pays several times, it's a very good restaurant! I recommend the open-faced sandwiches, which are original and delicious 👍🏻
16/04/2026: When I'm in Lille on my own, I always make sure to visit this restaurant where I can always find a table, even without a reservation!
I chose the Canebière tartine as part of a set menu. I wasn't disappointed. The raspberry chocolate crumble dessert was also excellent.
Fast service. Hot food. Pleasant waiters.
I highly recommend it for its great value!

You'll receive a warm and friendly welcome from the waiter, who is truly kind, energetic, and efficient.
