Place, place, unsanitary, poor condition of the premises and places that are really not warm and bitter in addition to that welcomes any Suspect person

14/08/2024: Family-run hotel with potential for renovation. The lady is extremely nice and accommodating. Great value for money, breakfast was practical but tasty.

19/08/2024: Review of the restaurant alone, hotel not tested. Reservation made for a family event, we were able to benefit from a private room and a unique menu agreed in advance. The chef immediately understood our expectations and was able to meet them, with excellent local products that he prepared in a classic way (not worse in such a context to best satisfy all tastes) but completely successful . We will undoubtedly come back to take advantage of the menu.

07/11/2024: Despite a relatively reasonable price, it must be admitted that the dishes are surprisingly banal. The plates are particularly well chipped, the glasses hold limescale well. So to avoid. Personally I haven't seen a restaurant like this for ages.

16/10/2024: Venus encourager notre équipe de rugby de Capbreton Hossegor en déplacement à St Palais, j'ai réservé la veille pour les 5 que nous étions. Arrivés à midi nous avons été accueillis par une dame fort souriante, aimable et dynamique......malgré que nous étions un dimanche ...ensoleillé de surcroit. Elle nous a placé en terrasse, sous l'immense platane. Apéritif consommé, elle nous a suggéré des plats que nous nous sommes empressés de déguster. Les desserts étaient au diapason de l'assiette landaise et des plats. Café avalé, nous avons pris la direction du stade après avoir salué et remercié le sympathique patron (et cuisinier). Unanimement, nous avons très bien déjeuné et nous vous recommandons cette adresse.

Le personnel est très gentil et à l’écoute de nos goûts pour que nous passions un moment parfait! Ce restaurant mérite bel et bien son étoile ⭐️ C’était une belle découverte dans le pays Basque ☺️

23/07/2024: La comida deliciosa. El maridaje con los vinos desastroso, las botellas estaban abiertas antes de llegar a la mesa, el vino blanco estaba caliente y sirvieron en algunas copas con vinos de botellas diferentes.

16/07/2024: I only tasted the burgers which are very nice, good meatloaf, nice and not overcooked and home fries. Little plus: fast service and very clean premises.

01/02/2026: Unacceptable! The owner refused to accept my credit card payment for bottles of water. I offered to add €0.50 or €1 for his bank fees. He claimed it was just another shopkeeper trying to do undeclared work during the season. It's truly pathetic and a low-quality service.

16/07/2024: Under the charm of this beautiful place, attentive service, the hot and cold drinks are excellent and the cuisine is qualitative and sought-after, you won't find that elsewhere in Pau! I recommend with my eyes closed!

24/08/2024: So where do I start? *the service: we seemed to be disturbing, the waitress was not friendly *the kitchen: half of the products were missing, the prime rib was full of nerves. Carafe of water I’m still waiting for it 😄😄 A tourist trap, to avoid And I forgot: the bread is cut by hand.

29/07/2024: Nous avons gouté leur gateau basque à la crème et aussi celui à la cerise noire: EXCELLENTS , fourrés généreusement et que de qualité. Bien au dessus des gateaux des 2 leader au pays basque de ce produit typique. Dommage nous n’avons pas gouté leurs autres pâtisseries ou leur chocolat

29/07/2024: Nous y sommes rentrés pour acheter la curiosité locale, le gâteau basque à la crème. Et nous avons été tellement bien reçu que nous avons pu déguster de délicieux chocolats. Le gâteau était divin mais c est surtout la qualité de l accueil qui m a épaté.

12/05/2024: Lorsque nous allons sur anglet avec ma sœur ,nous mangeons a ce restaurant. L'année dernière nous y sommes allés 3 fois en 10 jours et samedi 11 mai nous y sommes retournés. Toujours aussi bon. Les crêpes sont assez garnies . Beaucoup de choix. Les desserts aussi sont délicieux. Le cidre une merveille. Et le personnel d'une gentillesse qui fait plaisir. Nous y retournerons avec grand plaisir. J'y emmènerai des amis. Et la famille. Merci a ce restaurant bravo à eux

14/04/2024: Accueil souriant malgré une arrivée en fin de service. Large choix aussi bien sucré que salé. Service rapide. Galettes délicieuses et de bonnes tailles. Seul bémol: peu de différence entre les galettes peu chères et celles qui coûtent le double du prix ! Au final, un bon repas à un prix correct à la Chambre d'Amour.

21/08/2024: Endroit incontournable depuis des années ! Le menu est simple et efficace. La vue est à couper le souffle. Le personnel accueillant. Possibilité de faire des grandes tablées de 15 personnes !!!

20/08/2024: Wonderful location in a lush Basque oak forest with great views just over the border in Spain. The food is simple but exquisite, mainly with Basque charcuterie as a starter and a selection of omelettes as a main. The omelette with cep mushrooms is delicious and the whiskey ice cream dessert cake is just exceptional that we had to go for an extra helping ! You can take a relaxing walk in the surrounding forest after lunch as well. Booking is a must as otherwise you risk doing the trip for nothing.
