08/09/2026: Passing through on my motorcycle 🏍, it cost 3 euros for the Pullman's private parking. I left my helmet there while waiting for my return trip from the Rhune train, and when I got back, since I was having lunch there, they gave me free parking. All the guys at the Pullman are friendly, great atmosphere.
04/09/2026: We went there for a drink, the staff were very friendly!

28/08/2026: This is the story of a waiter who was apparently in a bad mood, who was politely asked to return a fish that was clearly undercooked to the kitchen. This prompted a furious and aggressive arrival of a cook, red-faced and aggressive, who insisted that the fish was not only cooked enough but also accused us of being aggressive towards the waiter... Brilliant! Unfortunately, the establishment lost two former customers...
26/08/2026: I walk into the establishment and say hello: none of the three staff members respond. First impression: subpar.
I wait at the counter for someone to speak to me, as it's my first time and I'm unfamiliar with how the place operates. The bartender, focused on his coffees, asks me what I'd like (still no greeting): I ask if it's possible to have a large coffee on the terrace. A hesitant but affirmative response; I head to the restroom to wash my hands while I wait and let him know. Back from the restroom, the other server points to a coffee waiting on the counter. I therefore assume it's up to me to get my coffee and carry it across to the terrace. So, I don't know if this is called self-service or a counter service, I didn't check if there was a price difference, but in any case: three employees, zero smiles. Okay, it's the end of the season, okay, we're allowed to be exhausted, but a smile?! My bad if there was a bill: bar service, but strangely I didn't see it...

04/09/2026: A huge disappointment! The setting is lovely and the waterside terrace is eye-catching, but unfortunately, that's about all it has going for it. €17.50 for a tiny roasted Camembert, grainy inside and frankly unpleasant to eat, and €19.50 for a duck confit with a tough leg that was clearly underwhelming. Given the prices, you expect better than such disappointing dishes. We ended up leaving without finishing our meals. A tourist trap with pretty decor, but absolutely nothing on the plate.

15/08/2026: I find it a shame that by 5 pm there are no more pastries and very few choices left. Furthermore, I ordered a waffle that wasn't cooked properly and had very little chocolate (we still paid extra for it).

We ordered the Pyrenean fondue, and it was excellent. Both the charcuterie platter and the fondue itself were generous portions.

09/09/2026: Very bad coffee and a super low-quality croissant, ridiculously expensive: €10! The milk frother on the coffee machine was visibly dirty, and the place itself lacked hygiene. The service wasn't very friendly either, even though they speak Spanish... when they served an oat milk latte with the oats in bad condition, they couldn't even offer to turn it over... when we asked for a longer espresso to make things easier...

20/09/2026: It's surprising to see so many negative reviews. We go there whenever we're in the area, and for us, it's the best place to enjoy local specialties. The piquillo peppers are the best here; our only regret is not having them as a main course. In any case, all the dishes we've tasted at this restaurant have been delicious, and the number of people there proves we're not the only ones who think so, unlike the restaurants nearby, which are, unfortunately, empty!
19/09/2026: Terrible service, wrong order, cold dishes, undercooked prawns, wine forgotten, not to mention the dilapidated state and poor hygiene of the toilets....

14/03/2026: My son just bought two baguettes, supposedly identical, and when we went to have them for breakfast, one of them was inedible. It was hard, stale bread.
It's a shame because we're regulars at this place. But now we won't be. Is it because he's a child and children can be taken advantage of?
07/03/2026: Lunch on the terrace overlooking the slopes. Quick, efficient, and friendly service. The food is good and reasonably priced. Very satisfied with this place.

14/09/2026: A very nice place where you can eat very well without having to sell a kidney to pay for your meal.
The daily special with starter and dessert is €14, or €12.50 if you have either the starter or dessert, and €9.50 if you only have the main course (prices as of September 2026).
The daily special is simple, tasty, and generous, and the setting is pleasant, with the option of eating on the terrace in a pedestrian street in Petit Bayonne.
Add to that the impeccable service from Lilou, whose smile is as radiant as hers!
We had a wonderful time and we will be back!

Negative points: Everything else.
Total wait time: 2 hours. One of the desserts had gone bad. The staff didn't appreciate us pointing out their mistakes (unusually slow service, expired dessert, and an error on the bill—the salad went from €5 to €15!). We received a rude response when we asked for a gesture of goodwill (which was granted) and when we showed them the error on the bill (which was refunded). That said, this is not the way to treat customers with legitimate criticisms that were expressed politely.
12/09/2026: We waited two hours, received a dessert that was past its expiration date (five people tasted it to confirm), and were verbally abused by the waiter when we paid (a €15 error on the till... he spoke to us like we were nothing when we were simply asking for a refund). There was absolutely no empathy or attempt at customer service; I have never experienced such poor service in a restaurant.

21/10/2025: Never seen anything like it. Nonexistent service, sloppy cooking, no consideration for the customer.
Scalding hot, overcooked, limp prawns, thrown unpeeled on two wilted salad leaves—it was supposed to be prawn salad. Seriously?
The kids' menu? An insult. Nothing good, everything is greasy and full of oil, not even the bare minimum.
We ended up laughing about it, but in hindsight: a sandwich bought in a bakery, facing the sea, would have been a feast compared to this.
Move on. There are much better options—everywhere else.
19/10/2025: Very disappointed... a sharing platter... or not! Only enough for one person for €19!
The monkfish tail with chorizo, cooked on the griddle, was burnt and tiny for €20.
The children's menu of chicken and fries... as well-cooked as the fish, which came with an ice cream stick.
€13... a bit steep! The table was wobbly and the chairs uncomfortable... despite having a reservation, we ended up with chairs and tables pushed aside (which is a shame). Luckily, the rosé was good! 🤣

30/08/2026: A very pleasant restaurant with a lovely mountain atmosphere. It's located right at the bottom of the cable car exit, which is very convenient! The service is very friendly and the food is tasty and plentiful. We had a very enjoyable dinner.
