04/09/2024: I come back to this tourist trap address, correct service, but the Saint Guillem wine costs 32 euros in the cellar, 5 euros?? And the dessert, an imitation rum baba at 14 euros, really inedible, the ice creams at 14 euros, for the carte d'or, no, the value for money is completely exaggerated, there are much better places in Anduze, I ended up disappointed twice!!

05/07/2025: Location It’s located in small lanes and very difficult to park your car. Reception Staff is nice but showing impatient while being asked question. Receptionist asked me why I am waiting for while I was waiting friends outside. It’s totally inappropriate question to ask customers why you are waiting here, very weird. Haven’t had any experience like this while stayed in 5-star hotel. While I asked for parking area, receptionist is not helpful but asked for velvet service which is not seen in other 5-star hotel. Receptionist replied with you just go and see with sign by yourself rather than showing specific parking map and area. Velvet service Hotel located in small lanes and only temporary drop off area. While I carefully parked my rental car at temporary drop off area, velvet stuff showed impatient attitude and opened arms to me caused he thought it’s too slow. Room It’s good with famous toiletries but it doesn’t guarantee with good service. Shower is without class to stop spilling water from shower which is weird design. Haven’t seen like this in other 5 star hotel. If you are French speakers then you will have good experience. If you are not, then I won’t recommend. If you are French speakers ,you will have good experience. If not, then I won’t recommend. Velvet service is terrible with holding your car key and waiting for tips

04/07/2025: I had the pleasure of staying at Domaine de Castillon, and I can only warmly recommend it. The setting is simply magnificent, peaceful, and conducive to relaxation. The staff is exceptionally kind, always smiling, attentive, and attentive, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The food is truly flawless: each dish is carefully prepared, full of flavor, showcasing fresh, quality ingredients. Exquisite cuisine, truly worth discovering! A big congratulations to the entire team for this impeccable welcome and this wonderful experience. I will gladly return!

30/11/2025: This place is a disgrace! They make fun of the customers and their employees, especially the new ones. What is the world coming to?! They'll recognize themselves; they're the two oldest in the bakery. I'll never set foot in there again, nor will I give them my money, because they are truly haughty and disrespectful. Ugh! I confirm the other reviews that say the same thing. Where is the manager? Plus, their tarts are undercooked, especially the pastry. They don't taste very good... a real disgrace. And on top of that, these women are like radar guns, watching and peering everywhere. No need for security cameras, as if we were about to steal! The saleswoman serves you with her mouth full, and on top of that, she puts the chocolates on the shelves without gloves! That's completely unhygienic.

23/11/2025: This Sunday morning, I went to Villaret's for Sunday breakfast: croissants and brioche. It was 7:40 a.m. I walked through the shop; I was the only customer. The display wasn't yet set up. I was facing four saleswomen who didn't see fit to interrupt their conversation. Almost a minute passed before the youngest of them deigned to give me a half-hearted greeting. I asked for croissants and brioche. "With sugar or praline?" she asked. "Don't you have any large plain brioches?" I then inquired. The red-haired saleswoman then intervened, telling her colleague, "Wait for the large brioche, I have orders..." After two minutes, and after the saleswoman who was helping me found the right size bag for my two croissants, she asked her colleague again, I received a negative response regarding the purchase of the brioche, because there were orders... it was 7:45 a.m.! I've been a customer of this bakery for over fifty years, but this is the last straw. I left the croissants and went to Grasset in Les Halles. A well-stocked display, a smile, plain brioche. Villaret, you've definitely lost a customer.

16/01/2026: The setting is lovely, I've been there several times and the waitresses are very pleasant, however the food is inconsistent, which is why I'm giving it 3 stars.

03/01/2026: I hope this message is read by the owner. Stop making pizza when you don't even know the basics. This Friday evening, first order, 15-minute delay, pizza not ready, no apology, no gesture of goodwill, not even a glass of water or a chair to wait in the warmth. The worst part: pizza dough, made in minutes, crammed with yeast, and to top it all off, cooked oak leaf lettuce under the prosciutto, even though the menu advertises arugula or spinach with parsley and garlic, which wasn't there. None of this was explained to me. As a result, the bin got a feast instead of my children, who thankfully didn't finish it because they had stomach aches all night. I will definitely be complaining to their face.

25/12/2025: We've been several times with friends. The staff are welcoming. The food is very good, the pizzas are great, although the crust is a little crumbly. The meats are excellent but a bit pricey. The desserts are homemade and delicious. A great restaurant for a good meal; I recommend it for a pleasant time with family or friends. I highly recommend it.

03/09/2024: Pour complètement sincère, la cuisine était très bonne et le cadre est agréable, d’où le 4/5. Après, je soulignerais quand même que le rapport qualité/prix reste un peu élevé malgré tout. Autre information à noter : le restaurant ne prend pas la carte bleu (un distributeur n’est pas loin mais bon…).

01/09/2024: L’endroit est joli très bien placé au bord de l’eau, attrayant. Le restaurant était à moitié vide car il était déjà 20:30. On nous donne une table côté rue, alors qu’il y a de la place côté rivière, mais on nous dit que tout est réservé. Quand une table se libère 5 minutes après, on nous prévient qu’il va nous falloir attendre. Nous allons rester 20 min sans qu’on ne apporte ni les menus ou qu’on nous prenne la commande des boissons. Une fois installés, quand on nous apporte les menus, on nous informe qu’il n’y a plus que les boissons sur la carte, le « vrai » menu nous arrive sur ardoise. Il n’y a que des pâtes!!! et le moindre plat est à 26 euros, oui vous m’avez bien lue, 26 euros le plat de pâtes. Arnaque ? Meme sur la plage à St Tropez dans un resto en vue, les prix étaient plus abordables et la nourriture meilleure… Ce lieu est clairement un « piège à touristes » ils se croient à Venise !!!

02/02/2025: Disappointing I took an egg meurette (it's runny), I ended up with a hard-boiled egg. The dish I took a breaded poultry leg, it was a kind of “mince” 🤔 The cook was alone in the kitchen and in the dining room, 2.5 hours for the starter and main meal only. And there were only 2 tables (us 2 people + 1 table of 6 people arriving 1 hour after us).

28/01/2025: We went to this restaurant by chance and we had a great time! In addition to having affordable prices, the dishes are great! I recommend!

07/07/2025: Back again 2025. The new system for ordering and serving works well and the food and drink is as good as ever. Went back this June, 2022. Definitely improved service and pastries and drinks as good as ever. I wonder how the small staff would cope with a rush but pleased to see some return to form. My one-star review of a year or two back follows. What they serve is still pretty good but the service is laughably bad; rude, disinterested, error-prone. One can hardly believe that the managers of this place have let it slip so far from its former eminence in the vicinity.

05/07/2025: Great place for brunch - had a delicious iced café au Lait with coconut milk and the eggs Benedict. The price was very reasonable. They made my bacon crispy just as I asked, which is not something a lot of places are willing to accommodate, so I was extremely grateful. All the staff we interacted with were lovely and kind. The negative reviews I saw seemed to come from entitled or impatient customers. We saw several ourselves who didn't seem to notice the signs on all the tables stating you need to order inside. The interior is beautiful anyways so it's a great opportunity to look at the original architecture. If we have time I'll definitely be back for another iced café! Thank you so much!
