14/06/2026: We came on June 13th. The welcome was quite pleasant, and the white wine was decent for €4 a glass. However, I had a leek and scallop galette that was really not very good. There was no seasoning in the fondue, and it was rather bitter. The scallops didn't have their coral, and the sauce was tasteless. I forced myself to eat it so as not to spoil the atmosphere of our meal. The dessert, on the other hand, was very good: a nice thick crepe with caramelized apples and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. While chatting with my partner on the way out, I learned that her savory crepe wasn't great either. I would have gladly shared my observations with a waiter or at the till, but no one asked us if we had enjoyed our meal.

13/06/2026: It's a well-located place, but it's a real shame that the owner's welcome was so cold and nonchalant. For a first visit, this lack of consideration, and the way customers were treated like a bother simply by asking a question and being met with a dismissive "like always!", when it was their first time there, certainly didn't make them want to return. Furthermore, even the waitstaff didn't seem happy to be there. A SHAME.

12/12/2025: A superb discovery made by chance during a business trip! At La Grange d’Aigue Vive, everything is in place for a remarkable experience. The cuisine is refined, fresh, and perfectly executed, with beautiful flavor combinations and a true attention to detail. The setting, both warm and authentic, is in perfect harmony with the quality of the food. The owner, welcoming and passionate, adds a touch of conviviality that makes all the difference. An address not to be missed! 👏🍷🍽️

12/12/2025: A wonderful surprise! We discovered a restaurant where everything is homemade, using fresh ingredients and a real focus on flavor. The dishes are well-balanced, generous, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is soothing and charming; you immediately feel at ease. The owner, very welcoming and attentive, takes the time to chat with his customers, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. A rare, genuine, and delicious place that I highly recommend.

18/04/2026: A huge thank you to Momo and Christian! We came for my partner's birthday on a Saturday evening. The welcome was superb, there was hardly any wait, and the food was delicious! They were always smiling and had a touch of humor that adds to the charm of the place. We highly recommend it, and we'll be back soon! Quentin and Ophélie.

14/04/2026: Very disappointed with the galettes... the batter was too thick to cook on just one side, and there was absolutely no butter! It's not a Breton galette... I'm really very disappointed. I didn't even try the crêpes. I'm replying to the owner; no, this isn't a fake review. I have the right to say it's not good... I've been making galettes every Friday for 30 years!

26/04/2026: Very welcoming, the management changed a week ago. The food is good and varied. It's not just a pizzeria, as they have a menu with some great dishes to offer.

04/05/2026: The fish was very bland and came with four cold fries. For €15, that's ridiculous! I won't be going back there.

14/04/2026: Our go-to restaurant when traveling to Alès (from Nîmes). Close to the Sunday market and the Gardon River, in a shady spot, we've always received a warm welcome, friendly and quick service. The food is carefully prepared and plentiful. The home-style cooking is good, and everything is excellent value for money. A very reputable establishment.

01/06/2026: The staff were friendly but disorganized, resulting in a long wait. We arrived at noon and our starter wasn't served until 1 p.m., so you can imagine what time we were served our main course and dessert! I think the staff should be assigned tables instead of serving everyone, as they lose track of what's happening. The meal was good, but nothing special considering the price. It's a shame, but we won't be back.

26/05/2026: Fantastic restaurant, we really enjoyed our meal! Excellent value for money, nothing to complain about, you can eat there without hesitation. The new owners are wonderful and the waiters and waitresses are top-notch. Thank you for a lovely time! And I highly recommend the themed evenings, which are at least once a month; they really liven up the town center.

23/05/2026: The bar service was really not great, at least not from some of the staff (who weren't professionals). Update: The service is now very good, and the beer is good too.

24/06/2026: The pizzas are excellent, made with fresh, regional ingredients! Thin crust... delicious! Tourists don't frequent this place... a charming, peaceful local terrace, far from the hustle and bustle and the summer heat. I'll be back.
