07/04/2026: Okay, granted, it's not perfect, but still… I stay in many 4-star hotels that are even better, but €65 to sleep in such a large, clean bed in such a quiet, beautiful location, with such a warm welcome as the lady who runs this hotel gave us, I've never experienced and never will. So yes, five stars, and for the price, it's more than worth it. Well done to the team.

26/04/2026: Very friendly waitresses, fast service, quality food, and the mini braziers are just amazing, a great idea!!

04/04/2026: It's okay, the food is good, but you leave feeling hungry. The pizzas are too small, though quite generously topped. The staff isn't very friendly and needs improvement.

18/04/2026: Gypsy evening with a delicious gardianne and goat cheese salad 😋 The music from Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer was playing in this restaurant tonight. Those who didn't come missed out!!

11/12/2025: Passing through the area, we decided to stop there. At first glance, the establishment seemed welcoming. Imagine my surprise when, during the meal, the owner's inappropriate remarks multiplied. Unparalleled rudeness punctuated our meal, along with a constant background noise that prevented us from hearing or understanding each other, even though we were seated at the same table!

28/09/2025: We stopped at this restaurant on a weekday in mid-September, around noon. The dining room was completely empty. My 87-year-old uncle urgently needed to use the restroom. I politely asked the owner for permission, explaining the situation. Instead of showing understanding towards an elderly person, I was repeatedly asked if we intended to eat there, and then finally told that the restroom was "out of order." This reaction deeply hurt me and was humiliating for my uncle. A restaurant is not just a place where food is served; it is also a space for welcome, respect, and human warmth. Refusing such service to an elderly person in need, in an establishment devoid of customers, leaves a very negative impression. I sincerely hope that the owner will reflect on the true meaning of the word "hospitality" and the importance of remaining humane in such circumstances.

22/03/2026: Very mixed feelings. The starter was excellent, but the main course for Mr. Salmon en Croûte was more like pastry with a little fish, and Mrs. Kebab was ordered well-done, but the inside of the meat was bloody and inedible. As a result, we didn't order dessert. Otherwise, the place is pleasant, although despite the empty tables, we ended up with a table in the middle.

22/03/2026: We arrived at 12:15 PM and were finally shown to our table at 3:30 PM without a word of apology for the slow and completely disorganized service. The asparagus soup was served cold and tasteless. The meat, however, was very well prepared and redeemed the meal. The birthday cake was a generic, snow-like thing. I do not recommend this restaurant.

26/03/2026: We came a week ago, and I took my time before posting my review because I'm usually quite positive! The fries were very, very overcooked, so they were as hard as wood. The waitress was very unpleasant when we joked about the weight of the rib steak; she could have explained herself calmly. The worst part was when she accused me of taking my credit card out too quickly after she had just thanked me, which I misinterpreted. I tried to explain myself politely to defuse her anger, but she persisted, showing complete disregard for me as a customer (or even as a human being)! Unacceptable!! I just hope it was an off day.

15/03/2026: Good evening. We were approached by a member of staff from this restaurant as we were walking past it, and we ended up going in. We're so glad we did! A very warm welcome, a bistro-style setting, an excellent dish (a piece of beef), and homemade fries that were very brown but tasty. Good value for money. I recommend this establishment for a pleasant experience.

18/05/2026: The food was so-so, but the waiter was really unpleasant; perhaps they should consider finding another waiter.

16/05/2026: The organization was very strange: one waiter only took orders in the order tables arrived, meaning we waited almost 30 minutes before he finally came to see us... The other seemed to be assigned to serving, so he just stood around with his arms hanging limply, waiting for something to do! We almost left without ordering, and three other tables did the same shortly after. Fortunately, the wait for our food was shorter after that. The meal was okay, but nothing special: there was sand in the salad and the cuttlefish wasn't completely cleaned (the beaks were still there). We pointed out these issues when the bill arrived, and they were acknowledged, but there was no compensation offered. The staff were friendly, but that doesn't seem enough to recommend this establishment.

07/05/2026: Absolutely terrible! No choice of savory options even though it's 1 p.m. No restrooms, which is a real problem for someone who travels a long way. I end up ordering something sweet, and then I see the green fly doing its job on the pastries... Enough is enough, next!

06/04/2026: Honestly, it was just okay... We waited over 30 minutes for our food... the pizzas weren't great (the crust was a bit odd) and the salmon steak was okay, but nothing special. The frozen fries weren't great, and there was only a tiny bit of salad without dressing... Honestly, I wouldn't go back. But the service was good.

07/03/2026: This isn't our first time having lunch at La Bistoure as a family, but once again, bravo! The service is perfect, the young waiters are very pleasant, the food is delicious, and we were served very quickly. Highly recommended.

10/05/2026: The steak haché was tasteless, and the moules were oversalted and tasted like broth. The salad was dirty and not fresh. A real disappointment.

03/05/2026: A very good restaurant with very pleasant staff and affordable prices. I recommend it. The only two things I could potentially mention are that the service was a little slow, but that's normal since it was the busy period, so I won't dwell on it. The second thing is that I found the tables a bit close together, so I wouldn't recommend it if you have strollers, for example, unless you're seated at the edge of the restaurant so as not to obstruct the service or other customers.

17/05/2026: Villaret is a fantastic place in Nîmes! Everything is always delicious, made with quality ingredients and true expertise. The welcome is warm and it's the kind of place you'll happily return to. A truly wonderful place that I highly recommend ✨🥐🥖

04/05/2026: Extremely disappointed to have bought a four-slice Black Forest cake for May Day! While strolling through Nîmes, I was surprised to see this bakery/pastry shop open on the public holiday. Accustomed to buying pastries, I was tempted by the Black Forest cake that had caught my eye in the window. (Knowing that very few bakeries/pastry shops offer it for sale.) The very helpful and friendly saleswoman gave me the following instructions (given that the cakes are kept at a "low temperature" in their refrigerator, according to her): "Once you get home, leave the cake out for two hours to eat it immediately this evening, then put it back in the refrigerator." "You can consume it for up to 3 days." Imagine my surprise when I ate a cake that was still hard/frozen in the center, and I realized I'd paid for a mountain of cream and very little sponge cake, practically none at all. Only the cherries were generous (and the cream, let's not forget). But worse, I got sick that very evening after the meal and spent the entire weekend ill… this was not how I had envisioned my May Day weekend. €16 for a "Black Forest" cake (4 slices) For cream and cherries? And the saleswoman was telling me about the bakery's reputation! I find this outrageous and I feel like I've been ripped off! I'm even considering going to a different bakery in the future.

19/04/2026: We arrived at Grand Sud in Grau-du-Roi at 2:20 pm, just the two of us, right at the start of the tourist season. To our great surprise, we were told that service had already ended. This is quite disappointing, especially in a seaside resort where one expects a minimum of flexibility and a warm welcome, particularly at the beginning of the season. An effort could be made to better accommodate visitors' schedules. It's a shame, as it gives a negative first impression.

19/04/2026: Review ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5) Absolutely unbelievable… I was refused a table at 2:20 PM in the very center of Le Grau-du-Roi, a highly touristic place where everything revolves around vacationers. We're not talking about arriving at 3:30 PM or closing time… but after service had started, at a time when dozens of people were still looking for a table. No solution was offered, no effort was made, just a dismissive "we're full" delivered in 3 seconds flat, without even checking if a table rotation was possible. When you work in the restaurant industry in a town like Le Grau-du-Roi, you know that customers are transient and that customer service makes all the difference… Clearly, that wasn't the case here. 👉 In short, avoid this place; there are much better options elsewhere.

05/04/2026: Pizza Excellent, spotless staff, incredible cleanliness, honestly I love the friendly atmosphere, the pizzas are so creamy and melt-in-your-mouth, you can tell they were made with love, I'm drooling just talking about it 💪🏽

15/02/2026: A good, mass-produced dough straight from the supermarket, sold at artisanal pizza prices. It wasn't like this at all before! The pizzas are all flat, exactly the same shape: perfect circles, flat as discs, with poor-quality toppings. Really disappointed.
