01/03/2026: A very disappointing stay at the Best Western L'Orangerie hotel. The hotel is generally quite outdated and absolutely does not meet the standards expected of a 4-star hotel. In our room, there was no proper lighting in the main room, only two bedside lamps, which made the atmosphere very dark and unpleasant. The bathroom was also subpar: the paint was peeling and gave an impression of neglect and lack of cleanliness, which is a real shame for this category of hotel. We had booked a king-size room, but this was clearly not the case. For me, a 160 cm bed is not a king-size bed, especially when you choose this type of room specifically for comfort. Having stayed at the hotel regularly, we can say that the advertised standard is not met. We were very disappointed by this experience.

17/02/2026: Guys, the restaurant is always busy. Reservations are essential. The food is very good and plentiful. The waiters are very friendly.

04/02/2026: I'm changing my opinion after checking with Elephant 1 in Nîmes; Elephant 2 in Marguerites is open by appointment for groups. FYI, Elephant 1 in Nîmes is great! 👍

12/01/2026: I regularly walked past Le Grec Italien in Remoulins, near the Pont du Gard, thinking I'd give it a try, but twice the place was closed for the holidays. I finally got to go in early January, when it reopened after a 15-day closure, a time when you'd expect a completely renovated establishment with a thorough cleaning and service ready for the new year. The experience left me with mixed feelings, and I probably won't go back unless there's a noticeable change. Le Grec Italien presents itself as a Greek/Italian, halal restaurant. From the moment you enter, you understand that this isn't a place to relax: the space is vast but impersonal, cold and austere, with no decoration, no background music (even a simple soundtrack would help), and no warm lighting. The poor acoustics give the impression of a construction site canteen. The staff seems to be the owner and his wife; the welcome is polite but strictly functional, lacking warmth or any desire to build customer loyalty. The menu is very extensive, too much so for such a small establishment. Pizzas, kebabs, burgers… a variety that clearly exceeds what can be handled with quality. The limited opening hours (lunch and dinner only) further complicate matters. The products are standardized and industrial: bread, sauces, and bland kebab meat. Several customers even mentioned pizzas that tasted like they were frozen, which accurately reflects the overall quality of the offering. A key point is the presentation of the dishes: sauces and fries are placed directly on the paper placemat, which sometimes spills over onto the tray. The sandwich is wrapped in aluminum foil with a single, insufficient, tiny napkin. This way of serving gives a real sense of disrespect for both the food and the customer, reinforcing the image of an industrial and careless service. Regarding hygiene, I went there just after the reopening, a time when one would expect a thorough cleaning. However, baseboards, tile edges, chair legs, electrical outlets, and light fixtures were visibly dirty. This doesn't seem like a one-off oversight, but rather a recurring problem. A thorough cleaning would immediately improve the place's image. The only truly positive point is the food: decent taste (3/5) and enough to satisfy an appetite (4/5). I'm trying to distinguish between what one can expect from fast food and the minimum standards. We're not asking for gourmet cuisine, but hygiene, service, and atmosphere remain essential and achievable basics. Here, it's convenient, but not enjoyable.

25/02/2026: We received a very poor welcome. We booked for 1:30 PM and arrived at 1:45 PM. The only comment was, "You're late." We've always been satisfied before, but this time we were very disappointed. What a shame!

14/02/2026: I ordered a hot chocolate and a chocolate crepe (yes, I love chocolate 😊). The hot chocolate was served with water, no chocolate at all. Just the color 😏 €4?! The crepe was made with industrial chocolate and had absolutely no chocolate flavor. Just sugar. In short! If you want a good hot chocolate and a good crepe with real chocolate, don't go there.

10/11/2025: Total disappointment! We came back without realizing that La Saladelle had probably changed owners—what a disaster! Where did the fireplace and wood-fired oven go? -Long wait even though there were only about fifteen of us -Ordered rare and medium-rare rib-eye steaks, but they were overcooked on the plate, one wasn't even pink -Bad fries, like cardboard -Limited wine selection, only the most expensive bottles still in stock -There were three of us, and we ordered three ice cream sundaes. They arrived one after the other, so the last person got theirs while the first person had already finished theirs -No more water, you have to ask for it -Music (speaker) too loud -And of course, cash payment because the credit card machine was broken!! lol In short, you can't just wing it in the restaurant business. We miss the old team, and we won't be back!

30/08/2025: A truly excellent restaurant. The value for money is also very good. The food is delicious and plentiful. The setting is beautiful. In short, a wonderful place. I really don't understand the previous negative reviews. People just don't know how to appreciate good things. Thank you and keep up the good work. I highly recommend it.

22/11/2025: I love this bistro/restaurant/bodega! Le Onze is very friendly, perfect for a great time. Being able to sing karaoke in the bar in the evening makes the atmosphere truly fantastic and festive. A great place not to be missed!

07/09/2025: Avoid this place. The owner bows easily when he's in front of you, but behind you... He doesn't know how to mess around with his customers. The new waitress, we won't talk about her, asks the customer the price of a jet 27. And when you order two jets, depending on who pays, it's not the same price. It's all up to the customer.

19/12/2025: I started with the reception; there was absolutely no politeness. She took out her notebook, asked us which pizzas we wanted, and when I asked her to wait while I chose, she left without a word. I called her over to place my order and asked if I could pay by credit card, to which she replied rudely. I picked up the pizzas, and frankly, they were inedible, all frozen, especially the kebab pizzas. You need to rethink your pizzeria; start with the service and then the pizzas! 😠😡😡

05/09/2025: Short but clear experience. A rather unfriendly gentleman. Following a call about a stay, the response was September full. Okay, that's cool for you. What's your availability then? I have a 3-day, 2-night Wonderbox. Um, I don't have the schedule, so I called my wife - the lady didn't answer and didn't call back. Always the gentleman: October is booked too, and I think there's space in December. December in the Gard or Vaucluse isn't ideal for a stay with my mom... as a tourism professional and guide, this kind of communication is pathetic. In short, keep your caravans and stop the communication...

10/03/2026: This is awful! We've tried being patient four times already, but forget about the McDonald's at 7 Collines (they're full of incompetents and have idiots on duty 24/7). Besides taking over 30 minutes to prepare our order, what do they offer us as compensation? An ice cream (obviously logical when it's raining and it's a takeout order, and on top of that, they don't even ask if we can eat it or not (knowing that I'm lactose intolerant)). So, a wasted ice cream that will end up in the trash. Seriously, go to the one in Ville Active; at least there it's fast, very good, and truly professional. PS: And please, stop saying that it doesn't reflect your restaurants. I've been coming here for over 10 years, and the more time passes, the worse it gets!

04/02/2026: Very disappointed. €2 for a small tray of fries, and while they were okay, they were undercooked and soggy. Anyway, the kebab was so-so. The bread was very thin; I don't know where it came from, it's definitely not kebab bread. €8, so €10 for a meal, not including a drink. Very disappointing. Years ago, this was the best in Nîmes!

31/01/2026: Extremely expensive kebab, €8 for just the kebab without fries and with very little meat. I won't be going back.

16/03/2026: We happened to be there at lunchtime today and were seated on the terrace, enjoying the beautiful sunshine and stunning sea view. Our table neighbor and we ourselves had a very pleasant and convivial time; the meal and the service were excellent. Thank you to the waiter for his touches of humor and his kindness, and to the entire team; we will gladly return.

10/03/2026: I arrived at this restaurant last week during the holidays. The service was very slow, even though we arrived early. The dishes were mediocre (lots of fat, little meat, and a very thick sauce to make it look substantial). My mother and father ordered the exact same dish, yet one had a smaller portion than the other. The bread was stale from the day before, and I was still hungry when I left. I won't be back.

18/01/2026: The staff are friendly and helpful, and they offer a wide range of services. Being able to withdraw cash if you've lost your debit card is incredibly convenient! I highly recommend this business.

08/03/2026: Ordering at the kiosk... waiting over 45 minutes for a single order... At one point, one of the employees realized I'd been waiting for a while and was about to lose patience... she took my order. It was late, I was tired, I got home, started eating, and realized they'd forgotten a sandwich that alone costs 11 euros... It wasn't even possible to go back, it was 12:20 AM and this McDonald's closes at midnight... Anyway, I was very disappointed and disgusted. Besides the incredibly slow service... they made 11 euros off me... It's nothing to some people, but if I had to spend 11 euros, I wouldn't spend it at McDonald's... Anyway. After that, it's no wonder some people reacted negatively.
