29/07/2026: It's true that your ice cream was good quality a few years ago (2 stars for that), but I can't confirm it, and therefore no extra star because I couldn't enjoy it.
Despite a full terrace with barely ten tables, and even though there were five of us with a sweet tooth, I went to see the waitress to ask if she could add another table, which she refused, claiming she was the only one serving. I don't think she was overwhelmed, but anyway, that's about an €80 bill you lost. Glad to know you don't need the revenue. I work in the industry, I know what I'm talking about. We went to the competition, and it was night and day, especially in terms of the responsiveness of the servers, who seemed very (re)active. What a shame.
28/07/2026: Every year the service is appalling. Every time we tell ourselves it's the crowds…the tourists…we find an excuse and come back. But in the end, it's just the employees. We queue for ice cream for 20 minutes, only to be told it's closed (an hour before the actual closing time). There are sighs, tubs of ice cream are slammed; if they could have thrown the scoops in our faces, I think they would have.
But it doesn't matter, we did what we always do…we went to eat at the other ice cream shop across the street, where the employees are much more welcoming despite also being very busy.
In the end, we just wanted to give it another chance. But it was the last one.

30/06/2026: Avoid at all costs.
No napkins.
No water carafe, nor any offer of water.
The price of a regular galette is very high, even though it's small.
Plastic cups.
The alley location is very hot, with people constantly coming and going from the stairwells of the buildings.

27/05/2026: What a shame to only offer sandwiches in overcooked bread! I just ate a rosette sandwich with an aftertaste of charcoal.
Sandwiches should be in whiter bread so the ingredients can release their flavor. If I want toast, I order a well-baked baguette.
Not to mention that the waitress has her hands on her face or mouth every five seconds.
Generally, I'm one of those who would give a thumbs up, but I'm disappointed on several levels.
It's a far cry from the early days of Marie Blachère, which is a real shame because it was absolutely delicious back then.

This is the second time I've come to buy a baguette and they're out of stock.
In a shop dedicated to bread, that's ridiculous.
But it doesn't bother the saleswoman, who's just tidying up and couldn't care less.

18/07/2026: The worst branch we've visited in a long time. The burgers were cooked with too little sauce, and the fries were lukewarm at best.
To make matters worse, the upstairs was in a deplorable state: some tables had trays left by previous customers on them because the trash can was overflowing and garbage was piling up on the floor. Other tables were simply covered in food scraps, so customers had to get their own cleaning supplies downstairs.
18/07/2026: The worst McDonald's ever. Tiny, filthy toilets, order mistakes, nuggets cooked in what must be dirty oil (full of black spots, no doubt!), and a bizarre taste.

21/07/2026: Disclaimer: I didn't eat there. However, we broke down in front of this shop two days ago, while I was with my wife and children, and the owner immediately came out to help us. Accompanied by some of his customers, he spent a good half hour getting our old banger running again, all in the blazing sun. He even offered the children some cold water. Solidarity, kindness, generosity: five stars!
22/06/2026: I was very disappointed with my experience. The woman at the counter was unfriendly and the service was really lacking. We ordered two tacos, but they were filled with a very runny sauce, to the point that there was water inside. The ground beef didn't seem fresh and looked like it had been reused. Furthermore, the portion of fries served was very small and stingy. I do not recommend this establishment.

02/08/2026: We were able to personally test the quality of the welcome, unable to believe the hundreds of horrified reviews we had read: Well, they're all true, and perhaps even less horrifying than described… The owner describes herself as a modern-day witch, refusing to serve coffee on the pretext that she has to serve meals, all the tables being empty… Such a beautiful place run by such unpleasant hosts… It's not exactly a happy place.
01/08/2026: A very warm welcome, magnificent setting. Don't listen to the Parisians who wouldn't dare ask for a coffee during their lunch break!

13/08/2026: Shameful! Two paninis for 9 euros, practically empty and less than 20 centimeters long.
I'll never go back to this chain, which is located at the Carrefour Étoile in Nîmes.

18/07/2026: We arrived at 9 am after a 10-hour drive to our holiday destination. The egg machine was broken, so no breakfast burgers. For the donuts, the kids chose sugar and chocolate, but we had to order only the sugar ones (after pre-ordering) because the chocolate ones weren't thawed.

€5 for an ice cream that's less generously filled than a plain sundae.
And the staff can't do anything about it... Avoid at all costs!

Lack of drinks in the middle of the season, incompetent boss and son who do nothing all day

The poor waiters who are taking it all on because they can't do everything on their own.
I could go on and on, their amateurism is so blatant
A career change in another field would be advisable because the image of the restaurant industry is taking another hit
A passing tourist trap
14/08/2025: Dirty place, where the waiter only gives water (without anyone ordering anything) to the girls. Zero service (and on top of that, he was rude).
