08/02/2026: In an unlikely setting, we had the pleasure of meeting Marjorie and Edouard… generous and loving hosts in their inn nestled among fir trees… originally from the Basque Country, they invited us to savor the local flavors! A night immersed in silence, far from the city and technological distractions… no TV, which encourages meditation and inner peace! A place to give as a gift, to share (the possibilities are endless for sleeping, dining, and even games)… thank you both!

12/07/2026: Best pizzeria in Montbrison!! The pizzas are delicious, with perfectly cooked crust and fresh, flavorful ingredients. The desserts are truly amazing; I highly recommend the banana one—it's divine!!! Excellent value for money: generous portions at a very reasonable price. The service is quick and the atmosphere is pleasant (Italian music). I wholeheartedly recommend this place; we will definitely be back!

04/06/2026: We regularly go to La Toscane restaurant and it's always an excellent Italian experience. Everything is perfect from start to finish. The pizzas are delicious, generously topped, and flavorful. The pasta dishes truly taste like Italy, with generous portions and perfectly cooked. The desserts are excellent, delicate, and indulgent—a wonderful way to end the meal. The service is pleasant and consistently high-quality. The wine selection is also excellent, with a fine range of Italian wines that perfectly complement the dishes. This is a restaurant we recommend without hesitation. A sure bet in Montbrison: 10/10, always consistently good.

19/05/2026: I'm only giving it two stars because the waiter was very friendly. Otherwise, it's a disaster, as you can see from the photos. The Adana was truly disappointing: a meager skewer, and the rest was mostly fried onions, salad, and cheese. The kebab was barely passable, at least edible. However, the bread was burnt, almost inedible. Honestly, it was a complete mess.

22/04/2026: The best kebabs you'll find around! +1 for the fries, which are excellent. Clean restaurant, fast service, friendly owners, and free coffee!

20/07/2026: From start to finish, the experience was very disappointing. Upon arrival, the waitress's welcome was unfriendly and unwelcoming, creating a poor first impression. As for the food, the quality was unfortunately lacking: a starter of frozen tapas, tasteless vegetables, and fries that were far too salty and difficult to eat. The "café gourmand" (a selection of small desserts served with coffee) was also served without a spoon; despite several requests, we never received one. Given the prices, we expected much better quality and service. A disappointing experience that we do not recommend.

30/05/2026: After our hike, we had a wonderful lunch (around 2 pm) with a daily special that was simply perfect: grilled sea bream fillet with a potato gratin from the Forez region (with Fourme d'Ambert cheese and garlic), a small side salad, and an excellent chestnut fondant for dessert. To top it all off, the waitresses were lovely. A place to remember!

Overall, this is a place I readily recommend to those looking for refined cuisine and excellent wine pairings. I will gladly return.

21/07/2026: Very disappointed. The grated cheese was incredibly greasy, the chocolate mousse was rock hard and definitely not homemade. For the price, it wasn't a very generous portion.

10/07/2026: We met up as a family for lunch. Despite the intense heat, we were able to eat on a very pleasant shaded terrace. The adult menus had been ordered in advance. The service was impeccable and quick. From the appetizer to the dessert, everything was delicious. The children's menus are generous and served quickly, with a surprise inside! They were able to enjoy the fenced-in area at the back of the restaurant. The waitress was truly wonderful, very pleasant and friendly. I highly recommend it!
