06/09/2026: I came to this restaurant, as I often do, for a good, comforting meal. As for the food, no complaints: it was very good. Unfortunately, as for the rest… Upon arrival, we had to wait about ten minutes before being served. During those ten minutes, we truly felt invisible, even though no one was ahead of us. The manager only came to see us much later. Nothing dramatic, however, since he apologized, and this kind of situation can indeed happen. On the other hand, some behaviors are much harder to accept. I completely understand that the job of a waiter is demanding, tiring, and sometimes difficult. But that doesn't justify such a lack of professionalism. In particular, we witnessed the behavior of a young waiter who took it upon himself to imitate a person with a disability in order to make one or more of his colleagues laugh. This did indeed provoke laughter, but particularly loud, persistent, and prolonged laughter that disrupted our meal. We weren't the only ones bothered, as our neighbors also complained about the same situation. Later, we also witnessed some rowdiness among the staff, accompanied by shouts and, once again, loud laughter. This kind of behavior is quite surprising when you've come simply to enjoy a peaceful meal. Finally, the state of the back of the bar left much to be desired: beer bottles on the floor, which a waiter was kicking back under the bar, as well as food and liquids scattered on the floor. I'm a fairly regular customer of this establishment, and it's precisely for this reason that this experience particularly disappointed me. The food was excellent, but the service, the attitude of some of the staff, and the cleanliness of the place now make me think twice before returning. It's a shame, because the food clearly deserves better.

04/08/2026: The place to be in the area if you're passing through or on vacation 👌🏾 I'd even call it the ambush. From appetizer to dessert, it was perfect. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly. There are two areas: one with a bar and the other with a buffet. Reservations are recommended as the restaurant is popular with regulars, so play it safe and book in advance 👌🏾 At the end of your meal, order an Irish coffee 🙏🏿💋

08/10/2026: Everything is relative, but in its category, this restaurant is absolutely unbeatable. My favorite place in Paris. The restaurant's website says it perfectly: creative and daring cuisine blending unexpected flavors and original combinations. Reinvented classics and seasonal produce elevated in a warm and unique setting in the heart of the 14th arrondissement. Fantastic.

31/08/2026: A lovely atmosphere and a very generous meal! Almost like a wedding feast! The staff were very kind and attentive. The staff raffle was a nice touch. We also appreciated the owner checking in several times during the meal to make sure everything was alright 👍

07/09/2026: Far from the establishments around the Place d'Armes in Calais, this small restaurant near the theater is a sure bet and won't disappoint. The warm welcome, the cozy atmosphere, the dishes that emphasize homemade quality, the efficient service, the generous portions... it's hard to find a fault with this excellent place. Please note that while the restaurant is open every lunchtime, it is only open for dinner on Saturdays. Reservations are therefore recommended.

29/09/2026: Very good meal, simple and generous dishes. We were the last ones in the dining room (3 pm) and we weren't rushed out.

02/09/2026: A quick stop at La Taverne, and honestly, I had a fantastic meal! 😋 I had a Welsh rarebit, and it was absolutely delicious! 🧀🔥 So flavorful and generous, with that subtle hint of mustard that really came through and that I loved. It perfectly complemented the dish without overpowering it. A great place to eat simply, heartily, and most importantly, to enjoy yourself! 😋

20/10/2026: The owner made a mistake with the order and accepted it, which delayed the food. As a result, the seared turbot was overcooked, and the grilled lobster was too dry—the body, legs, and claws were inedible! They said, "You've eaten," but we've never had this problem before! The owner didn't acknowledge the mistake and offered no compensation to the customer. This will be the last time!

27/09/2026: Excellent restaurant. Views of the Scarpe river, bright and airy, friendly staff, good food, generous portions at very reasonable prices, close to the center of Arras: a short walk or parking available. You can take your time if you wish.

26/09/2026: A delightful experience with a verdant view of an urban park, completely unobstructed. Friendly, helpful, and attentive staff. Delicious food, flavorful sauces, and a personalized dessert. A truly excellent place.

11/10/2026: From the moment we arrived, through the main course and dessert, everything was perfect! A warm welcome, both for us and our dog, which is always appreciated! Delicious dishes and perfect portions—neither too much nor too little. Everything was there for a wonderful experience. The only slight drawback: the €4 supplement per person for the scallops. While it was clearly indicated in parentheses at the end of the line, it would have been helpful to mention it when we ordered. Since the information was written on the chalkboard, it wasn't immediately obvious. A quick reminder from the staff would have been appreciated. All in all, it was a fantastic find and a restaurant we wholeheartedly recommend! 😊
