07/07/2024: We only had dinner here so we can't judge the rest of the hotel.
Positive:
+very nice meal
+cheese trolley is fun and cozy
+good prices for adult menu
+ very friendly service (but awkward moment when paying, see further)
+ cozy classic interior but it has something of "what if grandma and grandpa opened a restaurant", so it's not for everyone.
Negative:
-children's menu is really expensive. 16 euros for fries, a sauce and a chicken fillet, and 1 scoop of ice cream... in France a children's menu is on average 8-12 euros
-the chairs were really uncomfortable. They were old upholstered chairs without good support. It was so bad that I even had to sit in the car seat for 10 minutes to rest.
-the service is very classic and correct according to the old 'protocol', but at checkout they asked directly for a tip. I have never experienced this at a restaurant. We also felt very uncomfortable about this
Conclusion: in all honesty, we will probably not return here, but I do think this restaurant is recommended for people who like an old interior. Almost all guests were over 60 years old. It's the first time I've criticized chairs... because they asked for a tip at the end, we left with a very uncomfortable feeling.
But still, if you don't have children, and you're not looking for a modern interior (there was even a stained glass window in the ceiling of the restaurant!), I think you can definitely find a delicious meal here for a very democratic price.
I'm hesitating between 3 and 4 stars, but since some of it is personal preference, I'm leaning towards a cautious 4...

26/08/2024: Nice restaurant, good food and tasty wines, at reasonable prices, and open on Sundays. Minus: service completely loses sight of us at the end of the evening. All unused tables will be cleared (while guests are still eating). New guests will be turned away at 8:00 PM. Restaurant would be 'complete'. We had the same thing on Friday evening as hotel guests. At 7:30 PM we were also sent away because it was said to be 'complete'. While not all tables are occupied.
17/08/2024: We arrived late in the evening after using the online reservation and the staff did not know we had booked, as we had driven from Lyon we were frazzled but the young man that served us and took care of us was excellent and told the kitchen.
The food took a long time to come out, an hour at least, and we had drinks and bread in the meantime.
The person cooking the food did try but all the food came separately, and I imagine they had been left on their own to cook it.
The noodle dishes were good, my burger came with chips and mayonnaise, and the meat was cooked well as requested but the vegetables that came with it were fridge cold. The chips were mostly overcooked too which was a shame.
The wait staff were very quick and friendly with everything, and had tidied the whole restaurant by the time we finished and we paid and left promptly.

29/08/2024: I didn't know this restaurant and I highly recommend it, a lovely welcome, fast service, very attentive to customers and above all the unregal pizza, generously garnished in fact there is everything to eat and the dessert is a treat, thanks to the boss for the whipped cream and also very good I will come back you are all very kind which is rare in Arras I highly recommend 👍👍👍

01/11/2024: Pleasure of meeting up with friends around sometimes surprising dishes (candied pear casserole, maroilles gratin), very tender regional meat, cooked just to my taste, and a pear dessert, simple and delicious. What a great discovery this restaurant is!

Well sheltered naturally by the treetops, the meal went very well: orders were taken by tablets handled by smiling and attentive staff. Respect of suitable deadlines between aperitif, main courses and dessert. I highly recommend

01/10/2024: We regularly have lunch at JFK, and we are always delighted, and so are the kids! Charming staff, honest quality/price, children and dogs welcome, and sunny terrace with a superb sea view...not forgetting their essential welsch, a treat!
