31/08/2024: Arrivé à 13h le dernier samedi avant la rentrée des scolaires, je rentre dans l’usine. Vite placé à l’intérieur (la terrasse est fermée malgré le beau temps), je dois presque hurler tant le volume sonore est élevé ; les enfants se faisant manifestement concurrence dans les courses poursuites et les cris.
Je commande une entrecôte saignante avec une badoit rouge, haricots verts, salade, sauce béarnaise. Le total sera de 25,40.
L’entrecôte arrive complètement carbonisée ; le gras ayant la même couleur que le maigre. Les haricots verts ont le goût d’eau et tièdes. La salade est recouverte d’une sauce largement moutardée.
L’entrecôte est difficile à couper malgré le couteau à dents.
On a vite envie de se sauver et c’est peut-être la recette pour faire un max de couverts…
Bref, une expérience unique.

07/09/2024: excessively expensive price, to avoid very noisy camping atmosphere, rib of beef at 30€ of pitiful quality not to mention the cooking of the blind chef, the only positive thing remains the aperitif cheese board and the bread, soon 100€ for two for being able to just eat bread is shameful, I strongly advise against it!!!!!
06/09/2024: I had already left a comment in January 2023 talking about the quality which was deteriorating significantly. I still returned to the restaurant a few days ago hoping that the quality had returned but I am sorry to see that the quality is even poorer than in January 2023 (I didn't think that was possible). Cocktails are not cocktails but a ready-made mix and let’s face it, not very very good! The quality of the meat is not there, moreover, the chef clearly does not know how to cook it (well, it is not overcooked), and when we express our dissatisfaction with the meal, the manager responds and I quote “oh well no one complained before you”, no commercial gesture or other. When I explain to him that the lady at the next table also sent back her dish he tells me that it's not the same thing... (the lady had asked for blue and received medium-rare meat). In short, it’s decided, I will no longer give this establishment a chance, boycott activated!!!

At least once a month in summer and winter
Today will be the last time after experiencing a lack of respect from the server
The South West burger served lukewarm with 5 small pieces of cold duck breast, overcooked fries not fresh and no sauce whatsoever! Dry!
We just showed the state of the Burger to the waiter. This one replied to us “here you are at Le Touquet you have a burger, fries and salad if you are not happy go elsewhere! »
We are sorry but being received this way we cannot tolerate it
This is for. This is why we will no longer set foot in this restaurant, the quality of the food and service has deteriorated significantly since the departure of Morgan the waiter and Philippe the cook.
31/08/2024: We regularly frequent the L'Espadrille restaurant each time we visit Le Touquet and have always been very satisfied in the past. However, on our last visit we were extremely disappointed. The quality of the cuisine, which was previously excellent, has unfortunately declined significantly. The dishes lacked flavor and freshness, and the presentation left something to be desired. We sincerely hope that this drop in quality is only an isolated incident and that L'Espadrille will soon return to the level that pleased us so much during our previous visits.

La carte change toutes les saisons, avec un menu du jour.
C’est simplement exceptionnel tout est Maison.
Les propriétaires sont très accueillants.
Nous envoyons nos clients, manger ou dormir là-bas.
Le cadre est exceptionnel et ils ont une belle terrasse

Positive:
+very nice meal
+cheese trolley is fun and cozy
+good prices for adult menu
+ very friendly service (but awkward moment when paying, see further)
+ cozy classic interior but it has something of "what if grandma and grandpa opened a restaurant", so it's not for everyone.
Negative:
-children's menu is really expensive. 16 euros for fries, a sauce and a chicken fillet, and 1 scoop of ice cream... in France a children's menu is on average 8-12 euros
-the chairs were really uncomfortable. They were old upholstered chairs without good support. It was so bad that I even had to sit in the car seat for 10 minutes to rest.
-the service is very classic and correct according to the old 'protocol', but at checkout they asked directly for a tip. I have never experienced this at a restaurant. We also felt very uncomfortable about this
Conclusion: in all honesty, we will probably not return here, but I do think this restaurant is recommended for people who like an old interior. Almost all guests were over 60 years old. It's the first time I've criticized chairs... because they asked for a tip at the end, we left with a very uncomfortable feeling.
But still, if you don't have children, and you're not looking for a modern interior (there was even a stained glass window in the ceiling of the restaurant!), I think you can definitely find a delicious meal here for a very democratic price.
I'm hesitating between 3 and 4 stars, but since some of it is personal preference, I'm leaning towards a cautious 4...

05/12/2024: Nous avons eu l’occasion de manger au Scoop, un midi de semaine, en dehors des périodes de forte affluence. Plusieurs zones de parkings gratuits sont accessibles non loin en direction des terres. Le restaurant est situé en bas du complexe immobilier situé face au palais des congrès.
La carte propose des recettes assez classiques au milieu desquelles se glissent quelques idées moins courantes, y compris pour les cocktails, et un plat du jour. Les assiettes sont bien présentées, nous avons bien apprécié nos plats dont les quantités nous ont paru correctes. Le service est bon et les locaux sont propres. Un seul bémol : la musique parfois un peu forte.
Le Scoop n’est pas un piège à touristes. Les produits sont frais et les tarifs corrects pour une commune comme Le Touquet. Nous sommes très satisfaits de notre passage et pouvons le recommander.
14/11/2024: Passez votre chemin, au vu des tarifs, la qualité et la quantité dans les assiettes n’est pas au rendez vous, et le dessert était médiocre et sans aucun goût.

Quality homemade food and a good atmosphere
23/08/2024: Passage dans ce restaurant en raison des nombreux avis positifs . La cuisine est en effet très bonne, gourmande et copieuse. Le service est sympa et bien assuré. Par contre, 3 bémols:
- Pas de carte pour les apéros . Vous commandez donc sans connaissance du prix (pour ma part 1 glenfiddich à 11 € ! servi par une JF au comptoir 3 cl et non 4 )
- Pas de carte des vins, ce qui est un comble car les vins ne se changent pas souvent !. Il faut se lever et consulter les noms et origines très mal détaillés et les prix sur une ardoise au mur. Il n'y a donc pas de réflexion sur le rapport qualité / prix ( pour ma part un vin blanc à 45 € donc cher pour son origine)
- Les serviettes de table sont en papier rouge. Le papier n'est pas du tout gênant, mais la couleur oui car si vous frottez une petite tache de graisse sur votre chemise, elle se colore en rouge. Des serviettes en papier blanches seraient beaucoup plus judicieuses.
En résumé, c'est un bon endroit pour manger très correctement. Mais si vous recherchez un bon rapport qualité prix, prenez l'apéro à la maison et un pichet d'eau pour le repas. Pour 2 personnes, nos 2 repas faisaient 61€. Un seul apéro et la bouteille de vin blanc a fait monter l'addition à ... 117 €.
