27/02/2026: The McDonald's in Aire-sur-la-Lys is a disaster: slow service, frequently incorrect orders, sloppy and cold sandwiches, soggy fries, and questionable hygiene. The staff seem jaded and unwelcoming, making the experience even more unpleasant. If you're looking for fast food, you're better off going elsewhere.

Le Bounty

21/11/2025: Le Bounty is my absolute favourite spot for a drink in Calais. It’s a small, cozy bar with a warm atmosphere and a charming interior. The music is always on point – never too loud, always creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxed evening. Very dog friendly
But what truly makes Le Bounty special is Fafa – the heart and soul of the place. Charming, welcoming :)

10/11/2025: We ordered double espressos to watch a show outside in the Place d'Armes. The waiter was very friendly and let us take our tray outside. I found the bar small and pleasant, creating a warm atmosphere. The prices are reasonable.
In short, I recommend it.

The children's menu could be improved: it should include a fish fillet instead of a piece of fish, and a scoop of ice cream.
The €24 menu was impeccably prepared and delicious.

15/02/2026: I do not recommend this Chinese restaurant.
Honestly, we've been to many restaurants like this, but this one took the cake.
The buffet was nothing special, there wasn't much, and it wasn't good.
The service was awful; they were incredibly slow. We asked for water, they spoke to us like dirt, and we didn't get it.
13/02/2026: I've been there 3 times and I haven't been disappointed; the food is good and there's something for everyone.

28/02/2026: We were pleasantly surprised by the high standard of this restaurant. Special mention to Laurent for his welcome, service, and availability.
02/02/2026: Disappointment! Having not eaten lunch, I went to the drive-thru around 5 pm (February 2nd, 2026) and it was a big mistake.
The entire order was reheated from lunch, I presume. The nuggets were cold and soggy, and the fries and cheeseburger were the same. The Coke was flat and lukewarm... Disgusting, sorry, but there's no other word for it... If you can't consistently satisfy your customers, just close in the afternoon!

02/03/2026: The staff is not up to standard for a 4-star hotel. Due to a mistake by the receptionist, we were unable to get a table despite our reservation. The bar manager made no effort to rectify the error; he simply didn't care, and no compensation was offered.
14/02/2026: Excellent food! Originality in the rather classic but revisited dishes. Bravo to the chef! Very friendly and efficient staff. Good value for money for this standard. I highly recommend.

01/03/2026: This time, we were disappointed. The pear skewers were quite greasy, and two out of the four meats weren't cooked to our requested standards. Not to mention the fries, which were supposedly homemade but had been cooked, recooked, and then reheated, so they definitely tasted like store-bought fries.
The waiter was unresponsive and unresponsive.
To top it all off, the owner didn't accept any criticism at all, not even an apology or a discount offered when we paid. That was our last visit.

22/12/2025: We're more used to coming during peak season, but the quality and service remain the same even in December.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, as was our server, and the shrimp croquettes were, as always, a delight.
