12/07/2026: Make a reservation for this delightful experience! 'La Doubs' itself is worth a visit if you're boating the Saone but this restaurant was the highlight of our stop. We were lucky enough to get seated on a Friday evening and had great service (and entertainment!) from Robert and his team. I ordered the Pochouse, which was out of this world. We shared frog legs (excellent) and the crawfish flan (not my fave, but others loved it). Great wine selection and the locally (very local) made whiskey mixes are absolutely worth a try. We regretted not buying a bottle! Thank you Le Caveau team!

11/07/2026: I feel honored and lucky to have docked our boat in Verdun-sur-le-Doubs, otherwise we would have never found Le Caveau! Robert and his staff clearly understand the power of family & food. When you arrive you’re greeted as if you dinning there weekly for years. As you open the menu they share which farms all their meats, cheeses and vegetables are sourced from. The menu is thoughtful, fun and sophisticated and has something for everyone, including vegetarians. The meal was a journey of classic French cooking with some fun twists on modern styles. All four of us could not stop bragging how good our dishes were. Now for the best part of our experience. Robert and his staff make you feel like family, creating laughter, smiles, full bellies and memories. They truly love what they do, and make everyone feel like their home. Merci, Merci, Merci!! Le Caveau is a must visit if you’re in the area!

31/07/2026: They bring you a small grill and several types of meat (depending on the option you choose), and you grill them to your liking. The food was delicious, the service from the waitress and the very young waiter was excellent, and I also enjoyed the local beer, "La Nocturne." Everything was just what I needed while waiting for the Tour de France to arrive.

22/08/2026: Discovering something by chance is always an adventure. This one was fantastic: a superb wine bar with Art Deco-inspired decor. A simple yet effective evening menu. For me, it was a discovery of Boursotun. I met a passionate winemaker who introduced me to two exceptional wines. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

02/09/2026: Excellent place! The setting is lovely, with its grand brick arches. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and the service is pleasant.

01/09/2026: Very good restaurant set in a beautiful dining room. Good for the kids, they enjoyed their meals. We had a 'formule a midi' which was good value - only criticism would be the choice was sausage (boudin noir) or sausage (andouillette)! They were vindicated though as we ordered one of each and they were both perhaps the best examples of each we'd ever tried. If you're ordering wine, check the blackboard!

Roberto in the kitchen provides personalized dishes, and Alessandra in the dining room welcomes you with warmth and kindness. Our favorite for over seven years, and we never tire of it.

05/07/2026: A wonderful experience at this restaurant recommended by our friends; the food was excellent. I had a very generous Caesar salad, and my husband had a foie gras burger, which he thoroughly enjoyed. We'll definitely be back. PS: Reservations are recommended.
