Directly on the Route des Grandes Alpes, quiet and close to nature. 🍳 Breakfast & Restaurant: The breakfast is plentiful, fresh, and flavorful – ideal for a pre-tour refueling. The hotel's own restaurant impresses with excellent cuisine and regional quality. A real treat after a long day in the saddle. 😊 Service & Hospitality: The friendliness of the staff is particularly noteworthy. Additional requests, such as an extra blanket, were met promptly and easily – you feel welcome and well looked after here. 🛏️ Rooms: The rooms are rather small and rustically furnished, but very clean and well-maintained. Those who appreciate cozy and authentic surroundings will feel at home. The wood paneling gives the hotel an alpine charm. ✅ Conclusion: A family-run hotel with an excellent location for active athletes and nature lovers. 16/09/2025: Very quiet, clean, comfortable. The food is of good quality and the breakfast offers a very varied buffet. Very well located for those who want to hike and especially go around Mount Thabor. Highly recommended!!!

22/03/2026: We chose it because the restaurant is less than a minute from exit 20. A good choice. We received a warm welcome and enjoyed our meal. We had a steak followed by fruit salad. We'll be back.

20/04/2026: Chalet Caron is the mountain restaurant you absolutely must stop at when you come to Val Thorens! You'll never be disappointed. The welcome is fantastic, the staff is friendly and attentive. The dishes are delicious and generous, with a wide selection every day. Impeccable hygiene! I highly recommend this place for a great meal and relaxing in the sun after a day of skiing!

06/04/2026: Fantastic weekend with friends! The location is ideal, right at the foot of the slopes. The breakfasts are excellent, as are the varied meals. The staff are attentive to guests. And the added bonus of the après-ski spa was pure bliss! We'll definitely be back!

The service was excellent, the menu offered a wide variety of choices, perfect for the whole family, and the food was really good. A special shout-out to Tom and Lucas 😉 Looking forward to coming back next year!

11/02/2026: The restaurant offers truly delicious food with generous portions that justify the price. However, the service leaves much to be desired. When you ask to take your leftovers home, you receive unpleasant looks. Furthermore, without any explanation, a simple plastic container is placed on the table for the leftovers, as if it were up to you to fend for yourself, without any help or consideration from the staff. This somewhat spoils the experience despite the quality of the meal.

10/12/2025: Today, The naan sandwich was poorly made; the naan bread was too thin, too small, and torn, causing the filling to fall out. There was also a lack of attention to detail with the initial order. The price was far too high for their naan sandwich, which has shrunk considerably since the restaurant opened, which is unacceptable.

26/02/2026: We were warmly welcomed and the staff was friendly, which we really appreciated. However, unfortunately, the overall experience did not match the price. It’s great that there is a vegetarian option on the menu, but the eggplant was undercooked and the portion was very small. Half of the plate was just a small arugula salad, which made the dish feel quite empty. Choosing a vegetarian meal shouldn’t mean leaving the table still hungry. As for the burger, the bun was very dry and crumbly. It completely fell apart when picked up, making it almost impossible to eat properly. The fries were correct, nothing special but fine. Overall, the food quality and portions did not justify the price.

10/02/2026: Best chicken dish I had in a while! I wasn’t hungry and came just to kill time, but this chicken was just magnificent! Tender with rich flavour pallet.

05/04/2026: We stopped at Chalet des Mérégers on a recommendation for their pizza. The welcome was warm, and we were told to expect a 40-minute wait, which was fine. The drinks arrived quickly. But then… nothing. After 30 minutes, our glasses were empty, and the waitress had disappeared. At 60 minutes, we asked where the pizza was: "It's coming." At 75 minutes, the same thing happened: "It's on its way." After an hour and a half, we left without eating. What disappointed us most was the attitude: whenever we asked questions, the waitress seemed annoyed, as if we were difficult customers. The beginning was promising, but the friendliness quickly evaporated. Avoid.
