Les meilleurs restaurants en Ain

26/04/2026: Total disappointment. Very disappointing value for money. Minimalist portions (the vegetable platter with the pigeon was almost laughable), culinary mistakes (a watery granita in the middle of a biscuit), dishes lacking any particular flavor (the crabcake with its half a langoustine). We ate there two years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. What happened since then? In any case, for us, it's over. There are fine dining establishments in the region, even Michelin-starred ones, where the value for money is significantly better. However, to be fair, the establishment does offer a nice wine list.

20/04/2026: I just called to reserve a table for 10 people. They told me it's a maximum of 8 people, not 10. It would have been much more professional to suggest I take a table for six and a table for four next to it. I don't see what the difficulty was. (As a longtime follower of the Michelin Guide, frequenting both three-star restaurants and this type of establishment, this is the first time I've been refused a table for ten.) So I booked a table for ten at the Auberge de Lamartine in Bourget-du-Lac, and that was relatively simpler. Then, I asked about a reservation for June or July for my wife and me. They told me they would be on vacation in June, as indicated on the website. I checked the website again, and there's absolutely nothing about this vacation... they said they would reopen their booking calendar starting in June. Honestly, I didn't understand any of it. Either it's closed, it's closed, or there's an appointment book, why open it in June? It's like being at a doctor's office... totally incomprehensible 🤔🤔 I find it astonishing, very surprising... bizarre.

02/05/2026: A superb discovery. We had a very good meal. Excellent value for money. Special mention to Maxime for the service. Smiling, friendly, and energetic. We'll be back.

16/04/2026: Large children's playroom, but... only 3 tiny toys. The kids bicker and it's quite ridiculous. Some help themselves to food from the buffet without using their hands, and without any shame. I ordered a plate of wok-fried meat = my teeth are completely saturated with meat... The sushi could definitely be better. In short, I won't be back 🤢

10/04/2026: We ate there a year ago and it was delicious. We came back today and the pizzas are really lacking in toppings... it's a real shame because we tasted an excellent pizza right away... the prices are still quite high for a pizza with nothing on it except for some lettuce...

14/03/2026: The grounds are magnificent, the food excellent, and the staff charming. However, the customer service is a different story. Due to a physical disability (hernia), I was unfortunately only able to use my membership 5 or 6 times. I informed reception of this situation, and they assured me that management would take note and get back to me. I never received a single reply. The problem isn't necessarily the lack of a solution, but rather the complete absence of any response. It gives the impression that customer service disappears once the membership is paid for. A simple exchange or explanation would have been appreciated. This is particularly disappointing for an establishment that claims to prioritize the customer experience.

30/04/2026: The meal was good, but I didn't understand the mandatory 8 euro gratin supplement in the 32.50 euro menu, especially since we didn't want it. So, for three people, 24 euros extra for nothing doesn't make sense.

11/04/2026: Need to have a good time? Then don't hesitate! Hats off! Managing to combine such high-quality cuisine with a warm, peaceful atmosphere—all the staff and chefs are simply top-notch! The value for money is also excellent. I'm not particularly fond of the frogs' legs, which are enormous according to those I've been with, but everything else is so good too, no complaints! You arrive at DUVERGER stressed out, you leave with a huge smile, I promise! Benoît, a regular customer with no financial stake!

12/04/2026: A wonderful experience. Delicious and original dishes (duck breast tartare, chicken liver pâté as a starter) and the famous Bresse chicken! Good dessert with a very good and beautiful chocolate fondant.
