01/03/2026: Very disappointed by the service at La Pataterie this evening. There were three of us motorcyclists, and we arrived at 9:45 PM thinking we could still have dinner. We were categorically refused entry, claiming the establishment was closing, even though the posted hours indicated a later closing time. No offer of service, no effort made, and a rather cold welcome. When you post opening hours, it would be normal to respect them or at least welcome customers properly. It's a shame, because after a long day on the road, it's exactly the kind of experience that makes you not want to return.

22/02/2026: I came with my family on Friday, February 20, 2026, at noon, and found a very welcoming restaurant. Parking is easy, and the menu offers a wide variety of choices. The service is quick, and the servers are friendly and helpful. I thought this establishment was closed… but it's not. It retains the spirit of La Pataterie. It's a shame it's the only one in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous. Reservations are highly recommended for evenings and weekends! I'll definitely be back…

20/11/2025: Excellent restaurant. The market menu changes daily. This menu offers good value for money. From the welcome to the service, everything is very well organized. The entire team is very friendly and welcoming. The dishes are excellent; everything is homemade, even the pastries served with coffee. We have been to this establishment at least five times and have never had a bad experience. Don't hesitate to try it. Reservations are recommended.

13/12/2025: Hearty and delicious food. The owner makes everything from scratch using fresh ingredients. The Milanese veal cutlet is a must-try, or be tempted by the Moldovan specialties if they're on the menu (my kids gave a special shout-out to the stuffed vine leaves). The owner always has a joke to tell, in addition to providing excellent service. Be warned, it's easy to miss this place!

22/09/2025: We stopped by randomly during our vacation and were not disappointed... a wonderful welcome. Veal's head with excellent and very generous gribiche sauce, very tender Milanese escalope, fries, no thanks... Wonderful chocolate cake... Just wonderful, we highly recommend it.

15/09/2025: A friendly restaurant, where you're greeted with a smile and kindness. The atmosphere is warm. I highly recommend this restaurant.

09/02/2026: The meal was decent, good value for money, and served quickly for lunchtime... except that when it came time to pay, all the time saved by the good service vanished into an endless wait at the till: regulars were given priority, they were fawned over while everyone else waited... and they even let other people go ahead of them! No, I don't recommend it 👎

30/01/2026: Excellent experience. Friday night = Creole cuisine. The dishes were truly excellent and not too spicy. The hot sauces are served on the side. And a small complimentary homemade rum punch was very good. A wonderful discovery. If you're ever in Bourg-en-Bresse, don't hesitate. The staff is very friendly. Excellent evening! 😀😀😀

14/01/2026: Maison Léonard in Izernore... It's a very good pizzeria, but not only that... they also offer various Italian dishes and specialties. Several set menus are available. The pizzas are very good, and the staff is friendly. A great place to visit.

24/02/2026: Excellent find during a business trip. The restaurant lives up to its name; the food is authentic and delicious, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The waitress was also very kind. Highly recommended!

17/02/2026: Excellent place, we tried it for Valentine's Day, a special menu was offered in addition to the regular menu, the products are of very good quality, the food is prepared with taste, a perfect mastery of cooking the products, the place is welcoming, the staff made us feel comfortable throughout the evening, I recommend it.

28/11/2024: Frankly, there is no point in giving you a 50-line report! This restaurant is simply amazing! For me it just lacks a Michelin star 🌟! Bravo to the kitchens and a big congratulations to the service which is impeccable! 😍😍😍😍 We will definitely come back!!!! Ps: taste this Bresse chicken, we have been to a lot of restaurants and it has never been so good. (And simple)

08/02/2026: My dad and I stopped by on a whim and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is welcoming, the owner is very friendly, and the food is excellent. A special mention goes to the lemon meringue pie, which was incredibly light and creamy.

16/12/2025: A wonderful time spent with colleagues over a simple yet magnificent meal. Located in the heart of Montluel, this gem is a must-try. 04/03/2026: Staffing and order management problems!! A 1.5-hour wait after getting our starters!!!! After politely asking if we could have our main course, the owner told us there was nothing he could do because of the crowd... he didn't appreciate our comment... there were still empty tables... a lack of organization is obvious. We paid for the starters and left feeling ravenous... what a shame. I'm not a liar! I have no reason to spread false information!! And I stand by what I wrote! Take responsibility and try to correct your mistakes! A 1.5-hour wait is unacceptable! 20 minutes, okay, and there was nobody there when we arrived!

03/03/2026: Despite a pleasant setting, there was a glaring lack of staff. We arrived at 12:15 pm, had an aperitif, and our starter arrived within half an hour. An hour and a half later, we still hadn't received our main course, despite two requests to the waiter, who seemed surprised that we were asking for it. Luckily, the restaurant was only half full, otherwise we would have ordered breakfast as well. We left without eating after paying for our starters and aperitifs. Unless you want to combine lunch and dinner, avoid this place at all costs. And a false and convenient response won't improve your service or quality.

18/02/2026: Excellent cuisine, which is pricey (as expected). Good service, attentive staff, friendly chef (gluten-free dishes specially prepared), but a bit slow; the meal lasted almost 3 hours... The dining room was a little noisy. We will return.
