22/06/2026: Extremely unpleasant bartenders who rip off customers. There was a bottle of Jägermeister on display above the bar, so we ordered five Jägerbombs. They said OK, and then started serving us some cheap liqueur instead. When we realized this, we canceled our order and got a friendly "well, get lost then"... They're engaging in false advertising by showing a bottle of Jägermeister but don't tell you they're serving garbage instead. Politeness and honesty should be standard practice in this profession. Change jobs 😉

22/06/2026: Arriving at the bar, we saw a bottle of Jägermeister. So we ordered five glasses of Jägermeister and Red Bull. I saw the waitress serve us a cheap brand of alcohol with a low-quality energy drink. When we pointed it out, she said, "That's just how it is!" So we refused the drinks. P.S. That response was outrageous... Avoid this place.

05/10/2026: This brasserie offers the best value for money near Saint-Charles train station. The food is consistently high quality, and the prices are a bit high, but reasonable considering its location next to the station. The service is quick and impeccable. I've been going there regularly for 10 years, and the quality hasn't declined; on the contrary, it has. Thank you to the whole team! Long live Caffe San Carlo!

17/09/2026: "BREAKFAST MENU" I only came for the €9.50 breakfast, which, frankly, wasn't worth the price, but with inflation and the proximity to the train station, you can't expect better... Indeed, the pastries were mediocre, mass-produced, and greasy. We were served a plain piece of white bread with butter and jam. The two stars go to the freshly squeezed orange juice, which was decent. In terms of service, it wasn't very welcoming, the payment was immediate and impersonal. I asked for a glass of water, which was served in an espresso cup—not very hydrating... In short, I don't recommend it. It's better to choose the bistros opposite the station, where the welcome is always warm and the prices more affordable.

19/06/2026: In Marseille, I was looking for a restaurant and stumbled upon L'Étoile d'Égypte, which had opened just a week earlier. I had a cordon bleu for €11, a generous couscous, mint tea, and half a bottle of water. I couldn't believe it! I gave it a 9 out of 10. I have 43 years of experience in the restaurant industry in Chamonix Mont Blanc, and a good meal now and then really lifts my spirits.

26/09/2026: Terrible. We came to have a drink on the terrace and nobody came out. I finally went inside to order, and apart from the exorbitant price for two drinks, the waitress decided to wander around the entire terrace serving everyone else, bringing them drinks and even food, while I waited over 20 minutes for two measly drinks. Furthermore, the customer service was incredibly unfriendly, especially considering we were in a tourist area.

30/06/2026: An exceptional restaurant in an exceptional setting. The menu was creative, unique, and full of interesting flavors. It was a truly memorable experience and one I would love to repeat someday. We only visited the restaurant and did not stay at the hotel.

26/07/2026: My best friend and I ate at Chuanjiang Haozi (Boiled Beef) and were shocked by the portions: the food was incredibly large, and the two of us couldn't finish it at all, so we had to take the leftovers home! Food Review: The toothpick beef is highly recommended! The seasoning is fantastic, spicy and flavorful, and very delicious! The boiled beef broth and side dishes are also great, but the beef was a little overcooked and tough, making it a bit hard to chew.

09/01/2026: Perfect bakery and pastry shop. Everything is delicious: the bread, the pastries—they have raisin bread, chocolate brioches with a blend of old-fashioned and modern flavors, and very generous portions... The olive oil bread is superb... The brioche des rois and the frangipane galette are top-notch. The cakes are also very generously portioned. All this at very reasonable prices. Friendly staff. My only regret is that it's not in my neighborhood, but I go there as often as I can.

13/08/2026: We came to Marseille for a week's holiday, and on our first evening at this bar, we received an excellent welcome from Inès and her colleague, who gave us tons of advice for our week's vacation... The mojitos are excellent, and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is very warm and friendly. They were always smiling throughout the week.
