la fromentine
Caen
27/09/2026: This place is a great find!
The crepes are generous and hearty!
The atmosphere is pleasant, the service is quick, and the prices are very reasonable. Plus, the manager is very friendly.
A must-try!
I'll definitely be back because I have the chef's parfait to try 😋
09/09/2026: Excellent meal. A generously filled Breton galette served with a salad, and a gourmet coffee that lived up to its name. All for a very reasonable price.
The service was quick, friendly, and always attentive.

Cafe du Port
Grandcamp-Maisy
02/10/2026: Nice little place in the harbor with a good menu and service. Not too complicated.
23/09/2026: The well-fed waiter with a full beard was very unfriendly. Perhaps this is an area where they prefer not to treat German tourists hospitably. We wanted to order a meal and received the bill immediately after ordering coffee, along with a request to leave, which we did.
To all German tourists: Avoid this café.

number one
Lisieux
05/09/2026: I came back because of a change of ownership and honestly, I wasn't disappointed. We had kebabs and tacos, which were really delicious. We'll definitely go back. It's a shame I didn't think to take pictures 😉
09/08/2026: If you're craving a pizza, a burger, a taco, etc., I highly recommend this place; its sign says it all about the quality. You'll be treated like royalty. Look no further, it's the best in Lisieux.

Le Safran
Caen
12/09/2026: Perhaps a very good kebab, but the vegetarian option consists only of raw vegetables... a shame.
No credit card payments accepted.
02/09/2026: A kebab this good at such a reasonable price is hard to find! Very clean, generous portion for an average size (plenty of meat and a few fries) at €8... Recommended by the Petit Futé guide for several years and winner of the Best Kebab 2026 award!
