There's a crucial difference: the land belongs to the city of Caen, unlike in Deauville. Consequently, Mr. and Mrs. Morel and Mr. Durier have very little room to maneuver. 21/04/2026: A delicious and original meal (I had a three-cheese waffle!), full of flavor, with fresh and well-prepared ingredients. The welcome was simple and warm, and the quiet terrace was much appreciated after the hustle and bustle of the city streets!

19/04/2026: I waited an hour for a burger and fries (the first item on the menu). It contained slices of ginger, which weren't listed on the menu—most likely a mistake. Ginger makes me sick. The result: heartburn and vomiting. I had to go home to bed, and my Saturday night was ruined. After waiting so long, I would have at least hoped my meal wouldn't have been rushed.

29/03/2026: The best board game bar in Caen, with a wide variety of games, puzzles, movies, and more. The food is delicious and high-quality, as are the regularly changing desserts. A great selection of beers. A huge selection of cocktails, all equally delicious. The service is excellent. I highly recommend this place.

12/05/2026: Orders often have items missing, burgers are frequently swapped with others, or are cold. Half the kiosks have been out of service for a while. Luckily the staff is friendly and there's no competition nearby. This post is 3 years old, and in May 2026, 3 kiosks were still out of order with long lines in front of the others...

09/05/2026: Thank you for my drive-thru experience. I came to eat around 1 p.m. The lady was more than pleasant; it was nice to see someone so smiling. It was a real pleasure to eat at your establishment. I will definitely come back.

07/03/2026: I received a warm welcome, my order was ready, and I couldn't resist ordering two lemon cream muffins and one Nutella muffin. The owner is a pastry chef, which is a real plus for the dessert display. We thoroughly enjoyed our treats. Loyalty card in hand... we'll be back! 😀

08/02/2026: We arrived at the restaurant and the atmosphere was perfect. The lady at the reception was smiling, friendly, and funny. We ordered two pizzas and a kebab (Nordic and vegetarian). The pizzas were excellent—the taste, the crust, the toppings, everything was perfect. The kebab was also perfect (homemade fries too).

25/04/2026: Had a coffee & hot chocolate Saturday morning with the locals. The staff speak v. Good English. Had to call back & sample the local beer & cider. Food looked good but didn’t eat. Very pleasant sat beside the harbour in the sunshine. Thank you

25/03/2026: Judging by the glowing reviews, no doubt left by friends, we were very disappointed by the welcome and service, but especially by the "food" served, even for a "pub"! It was pathetic... The mixed platters (served with stale bread from the previous day's customers) looked so appealing in the photos posted by other patrons. And what about the frozen fries with absolutely no taste or texture (any kebab shop makes much better ones!). Then we saw the bill... oh dear! :0
