06/08/2026: Excellent location. The street-side terrace is lovely for an aperitif or ice cream, and the interior terrace is perfect for dinner. The seafood sauerkraut was truly excellent, and the added bonus was the friendliness and warmth of our waiter, Owen, who did everything he could to ensure our satisfaction, despite the abundance of tourists!

06/08/2026: A very warm welcome, our waiter Christophe was very friendly, as was Owen. The meal was perfect, both the set menu and the à la carte dishes. And always attentive service. We had a wonderful time.

It's very good, and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. We ate there twice, on July 9th and 10th, and we always got the table we requested, number 15, without any problem. Great! 29/06/2026: Excellent value for money at Buquet's, near the iconic Vaugueux district. Homemade cuisine using ultra-fresh ingredients. Generous portions, beautifully presented, both simple (the surf and turf salad is wonderful!) and always with a thoughtful personal touch. The 2 or 3 course set menu is unbeatable. It's always delicious! And the service is excellent too! It's simple: once you're in Caen, you won't want to go anywhere else!

08/08/2026: I came in for drinks with friends. In addition to my coffee with whipped cream, I asked for a glass of water. The person then said, "Wouldn't you like 100 euros and a Mars bar?" No glass of water, no Mars bar, and certainly not the 100 euros! Avoid this place. It's a shame because the location seems nice and convenient.

10/08/2026: We ate crepes costing 4 and 5 euros each; they were dry, small, and clearly not homemade. At that price, I don't think that's acceptable. Furthermore, I ordered a sweet and butter crepe and received a plain one. I do not recommend it.

09/08/2026: August 9, 2026. There were eight of us. We were all pleasantly surprised. Everything was delicious—burgers, salads, and beer. The staff was pleasant and polite. Prices were similar to those in a tourist area, which is fine. The terrace is protected by a glass wall from the wind and sand, which is also a plus. People here are complaining about uneven cooking in the burgers. Well, you just had to ask, and they would have cooked it just right. A solid 5 stars for the atmosphere, service, and food.

24/08/2026: This is the only restaurant in Caen where we received a VERY poor welcome (to put it politely). A word of advice: if you see a rather elderly and overweight gentleman at the entrance of the restaurant constantly berating his staff, leave as quickly as possible, because you'll be his next target and your evening will be ruined.

23/08/2026: Delicious, high-quality cuisine, fresh produce carefully selected by the owner. He gave us a warm welcome. A must-try if you want a truly delicious meal.
