18/03/2026: The welcome was very friendly, the waitress lovely, but the burger was really disappointing. The homemade bun wasn't good, and the presentation was basic. What a shame…

15/03/2026: We came on Sunday, March 8, 2026, around 4 pm. The crepes were good, but it's a shame the waitress wasn't friendly and unmotivated. When you're in this line of work, you don't sigh in front of customers or say, "I can't wait for tonight." If this isn't for you, change careers.

04/03/2026: Not great...the galette was too salty, and the leeks and carrots inside were too sickening. I only ate the scallops. Too noisy upstairs. We were jostled by people and waitresses because our table was right in the middle of the room...Disappointed. Yet I come every summer. Maybe there's been a change in the kitchen?

14/03/2026: Excellent paninis and quality pizza are on offer at this restaurant. The staff is friendly and welcoming. One small drawback: you need to order early as it's very popular.

09/03/2026: Honestly, one of the worst pizzas of my life. I ordered for an hour, arrived 15 minutes early, and the pizzas were already ready in their boxes. First of all, the size is terrible; they're small pizzas. You might as well buy frozen pizzas; they'll have more flavor. The pizza is flat, everything is crammed onto it. I don't understand the other reviews... Go 50 meters to the beach; you'll find much better. Sir, you need to rethink your approach, because I've eaten hundreds of pizzas, and yours is the worst. I've never eaten at Pizza Hut or Domino's, but I think they easily surpass you, since a frozen pizza has more flavor!

14/03/2026: We loved it! The onion soup was delicious, as were the oysters. The wine was very good for being mid-range, and the service was exceptional. We'll be back!

19/01/2026: We ate there, and the waiter was unpleasant. The menu includes a vegetarian dish with caviar eggs! 😳 This dish really needs improvement!

26/12/2025: A very disappointing culinary experience for an establishment that presents itself as gourmet. The butternut squash soup was completely tasteless, and the "fish of the day" dish was very basic considering its price. We've had much tastier fish in nearby brasseries. To top it all off, the gluten-free bread I ordered was soft and soggy, clearly microwaved.

24/01/2026: It's hard to talk about atmosphere in a small town like Port-en-Bessin, deserted in the middle of January! There were only four of us at the restaurant, yet the welcome was warm and the food fantastic! Even if the decor is a bit kitschy, the portions are beautiful and generous! Thank you so much!

21/01/2026: Passing through this Monday... a great little restaurant, the only one open on Mondays in Port-en-Bessin serving scallops. The owner is very friendly, I highly recommend it.

01/12/2025: My favorite little restaurant in the old port area. The Camembert crisp is absolutely delicious, and the chicken à la Normande is one of my favorite dishes. The restaurant is pleasant and the food is always good. I highly recommend it.

30/11/2025: If you're used to cooking, don't go to this restaurant. We didn't enjoy the dishes at all, especially the sea bass and scallops. As for the wine by the glass, you don't see the bottle because it's not served in front of you. The tarte Tatin dessert was okay. I wanted to try it despite the rather negative reviews. 14/02/2026: We ordered two Norman-style pizzas with a thin, very crispy crust, followed by a gourmet coffee and profiteroles for dessert.

27/01/2026: Fantastic restaurant! Warm welcome, lovely waitresses always smiling. The quality of the food is remarkable, with a large part of the menu made in-house. That's so rare these days, kudos to the whole team!

08/02/2026: I don't regret it, even though the pasta wasn't very hot... friendly service. No bread, and the parmesan was an extra €2 per small dish. The dessert was delicious... The background music was a bit loud. I'll go back if I have the chance.

30/12/2025: It's a shame the service stops at 9:30 PM. Google says 10 PM, so that's a mistake. We weren't admitted at 9:35 PM.

07/03/2026: I came this Friday with my partner, around 8:15 pm. We each ordered a pizza which was quite good despite the disappointing service, the cold staff (not a smile or even a glance during all our interactions!), the seating in a corner by the fireplace right next to the kitchen door (the rest of the room was free), the waitress taking a cigarette out of her pack in the middle of the room… We wanted to have a pleasant time at the start of the weekend, but we left feeling like we had been a nuisance… Furthermore, we don't plan to return despite having tasted one of the best pizzas in Vire.

10/03/2026: Absolutely beautiful chocolate creations here! I had to find one that wouldn't break in my suitcase. The wonderful employee wrapped my chocolate so it would be safe. Thank you! Incredibly reasonable prices... The sculptures would be 10x the price in the USA.

01/03/2026: We've been loyal Larnicol customers ever since we first discovered this chocolatier years ago in Concarneau, at the very beginning of their business. We especially love their caramels. But not anymore! The amount of butter has been drastically reduced and replaced with sugar. We're no longer buying caramels, but sugar cubes... So, our purchase this week will be our last. It's a shame because the staff at the Caen store are very pleasant.

22/02/2026: We originally came for a cycling race in the area. We were charmed by the port and its character. Following a recommendation from our host at Les 2 Marcels, we went there. My friends and I enjoyed delicious dishes that were as pleasing to the eye as they were to the palate. I highly recommend it.

20/02/2026: A very warm welcome. Refined, home-style cooking. Good cocktails and wines. Good value for money. Nicely decorated interior.
