15/03/2026: A French restaurant where the food is excellent. This restaurant offers simple, homemade cuisine using local French ingredients. I recommend the veal chop à la Normande, which was delicious. Also, if you'd like to try snails, they sometimes have them on the menu. The staff is incredibly attentive to their customers. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at this establishment!

06/03/2026: A menu of hamburgers/salads and two daily specials. Homemade fries. Nice location just steps from the boardwalk. Very friendly staff. Long wait, terrace full of retirees who are regulars at this very "trendy" spot. Good, fresh food, but not exceptional. Prices are high.

05/03/2026: We used to come to this restaurant regularly and enjoyed it very much, but unfortunately, our last visit was very disappointing. The quality seems to have declined. The wait between the main course and dessert was particularly long, even though the restaurant wasn't crowded. The fireplace always creates a pleasant atmosphere, which is a real plus. However, this is unfortunately spoiled by a strong smell of burnt grease and fried food that overwhelms the palate and makes the atmosphere less enjoyable. We also ordered the daily special, a Camembert burger, and unfortunately, we both got sick after the meal, which definitely marred the experience. It's all the more disappointing because we were regulars and had always had a good impression of the establishment. This last experience really let us down.

28/01/2026: I'm a regular customer, but this time I was frankly disappointed. The welcome was quite cold, and the same goes for the food; the portions have shrunk. Frankly, for the price, I'm really disappointed. We won't be back.

27/12/2025: The quality has declined significantly in recent years, which is a real shame! Nothing is homemade, the guacamole is clearly store-bought and still costs 10 euros, the patatas were served with a tasteless sauce, and the pan con tomate is Spanish in name only. We no longer recommend it.

11/03/2026: While strolling through town at lunchtime, we stopped in front of this restaurant, which looked inviting from the outside. At the entrance, there was no greeting. We sat down anyway and looked at the menu. Since it simply didn't correspond to what we were in the mood for, we politely decided to leave, after apologizing. It was then that the manager—who hadn't seen fit to speak to us until then—exclaimed loudly: "They're leaving, that's enough, bye." It's always surprising to see how some establishments manage to distinguish themselves not by the quality of their food, but by the sheer poverty of their customer service. A customer has every right not to be drawn to a menu. However, subjecting them to such vulgar remarks reveals a particularly worrying level of professionalism. Clearly, in this establishment, respect for the customer is not only absent: it seems to be fully embraced.

19/02/2026: A place on the port where it's always a pleasure to relax, whether on the terrace or inside. Warm atmosphere and super friendly service, we always come back!

08/03/2026: I'm giving it 4 stars. The main course was good (loin of black cod) with homemade mashed potatoes. However, I was disappointed with the chocolate profiteroles, which I wouldn't recommend. We were inside: noisy. And in the entrance passageway, there was a constant clanging noise, which wasn't very pleasant. Staff OK.

06/03/2026: Great location, but the food needs improvement. The mussels marinière had a tasteless broth, and the fries were dry and bland. As for the dessert of the day, it was expensive for the quality and quantity: a shortbread cookie with lemon cream for €12.90! The servers were energetic and worked hard, but unfortunately, they didn't smile.

19/09/2025: For our last Norman evening in Grandcamp-Maisy, we chose to dine at the La Plage bar-restaurant. We received a very warm welcome from a very kind owner, who even took the time to answer my questions about the local fishermen. As for the food: starter, main course, dessert... everything was excellent! The service was fast, the prices very reasonable for a seaside restaurant (€80 for two), and the view is splendid with the rising tide and the fishing boats heading out to sea. A big thank you for a wonderful evening! We highly recommend this place.

18/02/2026: I ordered a mojito and was given a glass full of water with large ice cubes that made the water level rise considerably. Tasteless and far too expensive for a glass of water.

01/02/2026: The prices are too high... Quick tip: Don't arrive close to 9 pm because they'll make you wait. Why? Because after 9 pm there's an extra 50 cents per drink! Unbelievable.

25/03/2026: The service was nice, the mussels was good in quality and quantity, the faux fillet was chewy, the cream bullet was really good,, a big plus is thy can cook without wine for you if requested

14/03/2026: It's a bit of a hidden gem compared to the restaurants in the city center. But the welcome is very warm, and you can enjoy authentic dishes—not just crepes—with good quality ingredients at a great price. Highly recommended!

25/02/2026: EXPIRED!! Unacceptable! We had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes before being served… I understand that on a beautiful February day the terrace is full, but telling customers who have been waiting for an hour in front of you is not an option! Friendliness is not their strong point here… we finally received our oysters, which arrived with… BUTTER THAT EXPIRED A MONTH AGO!!!!! Okay, these things happen, but there were no apologies from the waitress or the owners, no smile, and WORSE, the waitress sighed! The waitress gave us a sauce that expired in August 2025! Unacceptable! We have serious doubts about the quality of the ingredients. The hygiene is questionable; the walls are dirty, and the toilets are even worse! Unfriendly staff; I'd get a better welcome at the cemetery near my house! They made a small gesture with the bill, offering us two free fries, but it didn't change the lack of professionalism from the servers. Very disappointed for a place of this caliber.

25/02/2026: A very disappointing experience. We were unjustifiably refused a table for a drink between 12 pm and 2 pm, even though unset tables were available and other customers were only having drinks. There were no signs indicating this restriction. A "lounge" establishment refusing customers when it has empty tables is incomprehensible and contrary to business practices. Avoid this place if you haven't planned to have dinner.

28/02/2026: The waitress was incredibly kind, helpful, smiling, and very attentive—a motivated young woman. However, the owner was extremely unpleasant to her waitress, bordering on disrespectful in front of customers, which could be humiliating for the waitress. Given the owner's behavior, which clearly shows a lack of respect for her employees, I do not recommend this place.

21/02/2026: We called this hotel at the last minute due to a booking issue with Booking.com. We spoke to David on the phone, and he saved our Valentine's weekend. He and his daughter were incredibly kind and helpful. The hotel is in a fantastic location, the rooms are spacious, and the service was excellent! We will gladly return and recommend it to our friends and family. Thank you again, and see you soon!

03/01/2026: We booked 2 nights and received a written confirmation from the hand of the receptionist. We called in the afternoon the day of our arrival - 3 times. We arrived at 6.30pm. Hotel closed! No light. Metallic curtains closed. No sign of life. Is this a real hotel ????
