20/11/2025: On our second visit, we were a little disappointed. The fish and chips was borderline, the fish was overcooked.

24/10/2025: The storefront isn't much to look at. But the interior is nice. The food was good. The servers were friendly and efficient.

22/01/2026: Wow! Unbelievable! I've been going to McDonald's for almost 40 years and I've never had such a disastrous experience. The toilets were in a deplorable state, reeking of urine and sewage. We had to try five different tables to find a clean one. There were 20 people in the restaurant and it took over 20 minutes to get our order. It arrived, of course, cold, the fries weren't salted, and four sandwiches, all the sauces, and a box of nuggets were missing... that's a lot for four people. We complained, and the farce continued. First delivery: three packets of salt completely soaked in grease! Second: three sandwiches, one of which wasn't even part of the order! Third delivery, finally complete... all of this dragged on for over 30 minutes, of course. Shameful!

21/01/2026: One star because it's impossible to give zero. The drive-thru service was appalling: I placed an order last week (1 meal + 1 McFlurry), and when I got home, there was no ice cream in my bag. No problem, mistakes happen. Today: I went to the drive-thru again and explained that I'd forgotten it last week. With my receipt as proof, I asked for the ice cream that I'd paid for but hadn't received. The server told me I hadn't followed the procedure. I explained that it was late, the drive-thru was about to close, and that I'd kept the receipt as proof. The manager called and was condescending, offering no apology or suggestions, just saying it was "the procedure." I calmly and politely replied that I'd never had any problems before, but I'd like them to check my receipt number to explain why my ice cream was missing. She didn't want to elaborate and wished me a good evening. Just to remind you, if the procedure had been followed, my order would have been complete. Today, sauces were missing from my order. Unacceptable. This is definitely the last time I will order from your establishment.

19/12/2025: We had booked a table using a gourmet pass for the 19th at 12:45 PM. We received a booking confirmation. Big surprise! When we arrived, the restaurant was closed and marked "for sale." Unbelievable! Luckily, it was just the two of us; if we had booked for six, we would have looked pretty silly. Who is responsible for this major blunder?

24/10/2025: Mediocre. The Martini was served lukewarm without ice or orange, but for the price, it's a steal 😉 It took 45 minutes to be served (mussels and fries 😮). The quality of both the food and the service was mediocre. The waiter seemed completely indifferent to what we were saying... We won't be back; there are much better places nearby while waiting for the ferry.

31/12/2025: Excellent restaurant with great service, we had scallops and seafood sauerkraut! It was delicious!

10/09/2024: Wir sind hier gegen 14:00 Uhr für ein spätes Mittagessen eingekehrt und warteten erst einmal 15 Minuten vor dem Restaurant, bis das unmotivierte Service-Personal endlich einen Tisch freiräumte. Im Schneckentempo ging es dann weiter. Nach weiteren 15 Minuten wurde die Bestellung aufgenommen. Dann hiess es nochmals eine Stunde (!) auf das Essen warten. Natürlich nicht ohne dass wir zuvor nochmals danach fragen mussten, weil die Bestellung höchstwahrscheinlich vergessen ging. Als Dank kassierten wir von den völlig untalentierten jungen Damen im Service einen vernichtenden Blick und grosses Augenrollen. Mies war auch das Essen. Das Clubsandwich war kaum mehr als ein Haufen Toastbrot mit einer Speckscheibe darauf. Einzig die Austern waren - Gott sei Dank - geniessbar. Beim Bezahlen warteten wir gar nicht erst auf den Service, sondern eilten selber zur Kasse und dann schnellstmöglich hinaus. Nie wieder!

17/08/2025: We went there just to get a coffee, but three-quarters of an hour before closing time, they stopped serving coffee because the staff cleans well before closing time. Not at all business-like and friendly. I asked for a Perrier lemon, and they gave me lemon syrup instead of the lemon slice, as is well known. You take your glass, and they sweep under the seats for you. Basically, they're waiting for you to leave. Old and in its original state, not at all charming, not welcoming. I hadn't seen the establishment's rating before going there, but when I see the string of bad ratings over the last few visits, I understand much better. Forever

07/07/2025: Always a pleasure to go there I regularly go to McDonald's in Houistreham, and I'm always very satisfied. Orders are served quickly, well prepared, and the food is hot and delicious. The restaurant is always clean, both inside and at the terminals. The staff is pleasant and efficient, even when it's busy. It's a reliable place where I eat often, and I've never been disappointed. Honestly, one of the best McDonald's in the area 👌

27/10/2025: A classic classic featuring local produce. Fresh surroundings, pleasant service, and a decent price/quality ratio, right in the city center.

27/10/2025: Cold meal, bad fries. What a shame, the reputation was better before and the bill was not up to par. Eating cold food when it's raining is not at all pleasant.

24/09/2024: Perfect. Better than around Rue Saint Sauveur, with the leftists and the humanist boomers. Best atmosphere. We still see normal people there.

27/12/2023: A FUIR !!! Serveurs impolis et pas souriants. On demande la carte et il nous la ramène en trainant des pieds. On commande deux chocolats viennois, AUCUN GOÛT !!! Au moment de payer, le prix n’est pas le même que celui indiqué sur la carte, je leur fais la réflexion mais d’un ton très peu aimable (clairement agacée), le serveuse me répond que ce n’est pas son problème, que le patron a décidé que c’était ce prix là donc il faut régler ce prix là ! Apparement elle sait que les cartes doivent être changées mais ducoup POURQUOI VOUS NE CHANGEZ PAS VOS CARTES ???? (ne serait-ce que changer les prix avec un autocollant, même un enfant de 6 ans peut le faire) J’en parle au deuxième serveur en partant mais il ne sait prendre qu’un faux air étonné en guise de réponse… ABSURDE ! (En plus de tout ça, ils abusent clairement sur les prix !)

18/01/2026: Just passing through. No greeting from the waitress, who was clearly bothering us as she was glued to her phone! Sorry to have disturbed you. As a business owner, I dismiss staff with such a disdainful attitude towards my customers without hesitation.

07/11/2025: We cycled today to Sword Beach and looked for a coffee, we arrived and decided upon a beer, which led to fish & chips and crème brûlée along with a bottle of Chardonnay, the atmosphere was very good which led to more La Goudle’s ( local beers) a fantastic friendly welcome and English language spoken and understood ❤️❤️ as our French is minimal. Back again on Friday but disappointed that the kitchen was closed. Met a lovely lady Dominique who made our visit very welcoming and fun(with scratch cards). Can’t wait to come back as food , atmosphere and beers very welcoming. Xx

13/09/2024: Bonjour à tous, Ce n est pas dans mon habitude de dénigrer ou me plaindre d un restaurant Mais la c est vraiment le pompon Une grosse déception je dirais Grande fervente du restaurant le « Mermoz » aujourd’hui j ai été extrêmement déçue ! Voici quelques photos : 1/ calamars : sauce à l eau donc pas de goût, et portion pour un enfant. Prix 23€ 2/ moules marinieres 18€ avec frites : sauce des moules à l eau, portion de frites (4€ = pour un demi enfant), frites archi recuites. Je comprends que la vie est cher pour tout le monde même pour les restaurateurs mais la je trouve que c est de l abus et prendre les gens pour des imbeciles Je comprends qu’ un restaurant pour ne pas augmenter le prix de sa carte diminue la quantité mais certainement pas la diviser en 3 Je comprends que pour faire face à la crise le restaurateur augmente les pris mais la qualité doit être au rendez vous. Je n attendais rien de la part de la gérante juste une écoute. Même ça je ne l ai pas eu. Elle a envoyé son commis. Bref en tout cas Le Mermoz plus jamais pour ma famille et moi même.
