24/05/2026: Quick service, good price, the waiter was lovely, but the owner was extremely cold. Regarding hygiene, I have mixed feelings; I found a hair in my daughter's crepe, and upon closer inspection, it's true that the cook wasn't wearing any protective gear...

08/06/2026: A magnificent place with high-quality products. Everything looks tempting and everything is excellent! Special mention for the always pleasant welcome. And above all, don't hesitate to go in: you won't be disappointed by the bread, pastries, and some of the cakes.

19/05/2026: While passing through Bayeux, we stumbled upon this bakery and we're still so glad we did. The products were delicious and reasonably priced. Well done to the whole team!

28/04/2026: The reviews on here are a bit mixed, but the patron Michel coped admirably on his own with nine noisy English men (actually, two were Welsh!). The food was tasty traditional French from a small menu, but the service was both fun and attentive ( except when Michel was inevitably in the kitchen).

06/05/2026: We booked this hotel from Sunday to Tuesday, but we fled after the first night because the conditions were so appalling. From the moment we arrived, a smell of damp and stale carpet literally hit us like a ton of bricks, not to mention the smelly sheets. Cleanliness was clearly nonexistent: visible dust, carpets that obviously hadn't been vacuumed in ages… We seriously wondered if the room was cleaned between guests. We had booked a room with a large terrace, but there was another unpleasant surprise: the glass door didn't even lock, the lock was broken. So anyone could get in, especially since the terrace was connected to others. In terms of security, it was simply unacceptable. As for the bathroom, it was probably the worst: a deplorable state for a hotel that dares to advertise itself as a 3-star hotel. The towel warmer was covered in streaks, the shower glass was coated in limescale, the grout was black, the mirror was dirty… and to top it all off, there was a dead spider on the wall as soon as we arrived. A live spider, maybe, in the countryside, but a dead one? It just proves that the hotel hadn't been cleaned. When we tried to mention it to reception, the response was astounding: the receptionist calmly explained that the hotel is old and has been undergoing renovations for 3-4 years, and that some guests don't complain. Good for them, but that in no way justifies such a lack of hygiene and professionalism. Finally, the manager is simply unreachable: no response to our messages, neither through Booking.com nor by email directly to the hotel. Customer service is nonexistent. In short, a disastrous experience, unworthy of a 3-star rating, which we absolutely do not recommend.

04/05/2026: “A trip back in time… unfortunately not the right time” ⭐☆☆☆☆ First off, kudos to the photos on Booking.com, because frankly, passing this dump off as a charming hotel is quite an achievement. The reality is far less flattering. We arrived and the first thing that hit us was the smell of damp. Not a subtle odor, no. A full-blown, unmistakable scent of a flooded cellar that permeated everything: hallways, room, linens. Speaking of linens, the sheets… how to put it… clearly recycled from a previous stay. The dust on the furniture was so thick that we felt like we were disturbing something. Breakfast was just like the rest: lukewarm coffee, stale baguette, and jam of unknown age. The owner, for his part, didn't see fit to lift a finger when we voiced our concerns. A shrug and that was that. On the security front, the lock barely held, the window didn't close properly… we slept with our wallets under our pillows. The pool was freezing cold; it was impossible to stay in it for more than 30 seconds. The only redeeming feature was the pleasant setting, but the lawn hadn't been mowed in ages, so even that was a bit of a mess. A quick call to a gardener wouldn't have cost much. In short, avoid it.

03/05/2026: The staff were very pleasant, but unfortunately, that wasn't enough to improve the overall experience. The establishment is run-down and cramped. The seawater pool is very small with only three massage jets for the large number of guests. The hammam was lukewarm and too small for the number of people. We opted for the brunch package and were very surprised to find that drinks were extra (tea and coffee are essential at brunch...). It's more like a buffet than a brunch offering. However, the buffets are regularly replenished, so there's no problem there. Once is enough; the value for money is completely unacceptable.

28/04/2026: A beautiful place to relax, with many treatments available, including a hammam and sauna. The leisure pool could perhaps use some fountains/waterfalls? My 4-star rating is due to the lack of parking, as finding free parking in Deauville isn't always easy! But it was a wonderful experience! PS: Don't miss the tea fountains once you've put on your bathrobe :)

30/06/2026: In this type of restaurant, the most important things are the food and cleanliness. Cleanliness is OK, but the food is not. Everything has been sitting in the containers for too long and is dried out. For example, I was only able to eat a potato gratin. The ice at the bottom of the container melted due to the lack of refrigeration. It had no taste. I'm very disappointed because there are many Asian restaurants in the Caen area, but this one doesn't measure up.

27/06/2026: Good all-you-can-eat restaurant, a huge selection of dishes, fairly good quality, and they offer a wok station with quite a few sauces.

31/05/2026: As a regular customer of Coffea downtown, and especially of their lemon tea, I bought some yesterday in Mondeville. I'm disappointed because the lemon flavor is barely perceptible, regardless of the amount of tea in the cup. I suppose it's been in the shop for a long time, which might explain it. I haven't tried the other teas yet; I hope I won't be disappointed as well. The person who served me was friendly, however, I don't find the same atmosphere as in the city center where you can get tasting bags of the product (or even several) of your choice to try at home. I was offered a tea bag, but out of the three offered, I wasn't particularly interested. Still, it was kind of them to do it.

28/05/2026: The establishment is closed. I traveled about 20 km after a Google search. When I arrived, the restaurant didn't exist.

06/05/2026: What a shame that the Flunch in Hérouville-Saint-Clair has closed… For many residents, it was a real hub of activity, a habit, almost a landmark. People came with family, friends, sometimes just to unwind. And what truly made the difference was the staff—always friendly, always available. A wonderful team that deserves recognition. Thank you to them.

24/06/2026: Avoid. We went in and it was empty apart from what seemed like a group of regulars sitting by the door talking to the staff. They got our order wrong and basically ignored us all throughout and after the meal. We skipped dessert due to the lack of attention and left after paying. The most attentive thing in the place was the swarm of flies that made us leave the first table we were given by the window. The food we had was 'OK', but there are many better places close by.

29/05/2026: Very poorly received today. We arrived as a group of 17 and requested a table change. The staff were rude and unfriendly. Too bad for them. I do not recommend them.

06/06/2026: The service is very friendly and the atmosphere is pleasantly trying to mimic a US Dinner. The Entrecôte turn out to big waste of money. The meat quality was very low and not salted at all. Fries were also mediocre and the Pepsi was watered down. I guess it is the only open option to eat after 9 PM but I would not come back again.

28/05/2026: Bloody awful!! Beer was warm, service was ridiculously bad and the food wasn’t much better. Won’t be back, ever…

02/07/2026: This place is a complete disaster! Empty, flat, and disgusting paninis. A tourist trap.

13/06/2026: You need to have plenty of time to eat here. The service is disastrous. It was normally busy for a Saturday lunchtime, and we arrived late, so there was less of a rush. We were given menus in English, which was surprising but not too much of a problem for us. Taking our order took a very long time, and that was nothing compared to what followed. We received our starters before our drinks, which we had to ask for. The main courses also took a very long time to arrive; we're still waiting for a portion of fries that was forgotten and a carafe of water that never arrived (despite having asked for it). My mussels were okay, but my partner's dish was far too salty. To top it all off, they don't accept restaurant vouchers. We won't be back.

06/06/2026: If you don't know about it, you wouldn't be quick to go inside, but the food is delicious and fresh! It's a bit alternative in terms of atmosphere, but delicious in terms of food.

01/04/2026: We received a very warm welcome (2 adults and a dog) this Wednesday at lunchtime and were seated in a quiet corner. The food is simple, plentiful, and varied. The best things about it: dog-friendly, excellent service, and a very affordable buffet. Highly recommended!
