24/05/2026: We wanted to book Chez Marion – a lovely hotel – for the Pentecost weekend, but the establishment appears to be closed. No one answers the phone and everything is shut down.

01/05/2026: Booked directly a week before May 1st for one night, April 30th. Arrived at the hotel at 4:00 PM, closed; at 6:00 PM, still closed, no one there. No one answered the phone and no response 😵‍💫 We found a room in Cabourg at the last minute at 7:00 PM. We were with a child, an elderly woman, and two dogs... So ZERO stars!!!

30/06/2026: 🚨🚨Avoid this place without hesitation. It's by far one of the worst bars I've ever been to. The service is appalling: you're greeted with coldness, contempt, and a complete lack of respect. You get the impression that the customers are only there to spend their money, without the slightest effort to provide decent service. The hygiene is also very disappointing. I personally saw insects on the floor, which made me really uncomfortable and didn't inspire any confidence. Between the deplorable welcome, the lack of professionalism, and this general feeling of neglect, I will never set foot in this place again. I strongly advise against this establishment. 🤮🤬😡

30/06/2026: Snack break last Tuesday... "greeted" by two women, one of whom was a young brunette who should really change careers. Never friendly. They argued for 10 minutes right in front of us (my daughter and me), completely ignoring us. Finally, they asked me what I wanted, in a very unfriendly tone... and yes, ladies, I'm the customer who's going to politely tell me to get lost! You should be ashamed. My advice: change careers; you have no business working in retail. An hour later, they were still arguing in front of other customers. As a result, my daughter and I left without buying anything.

03/06/2026: My daughter, who's in middle school, is a regular customer. Every time, she tells me how friendly the staff are and how much she enjoys going to this sandwich shop. So, I recommend it to all our young people!

13/09/2025: A pleasant surprise! A warm welcome, and on the plate: delicious local flavors, especially if you enjoy meat. The setting and garden are lovely. The bill was more than reasonable. We will gladly return.

07/09/2025: The welcome was not very warm, it's not ideal for large families. We didn't even have time to settle in before we already wanted to leave.

14/06/2026: If I could give zero stars, I would! You have to queue to order (30-minute wait…), bring your own order, there's no customer service, and you have to clear your own table!!!! Avoid at all costs! The location is great, but everything else is rubbish! Please change careers.

02/05/2026: The waitress was very friendly. The staff was very welcoming, making you want to go in and eat. However, the food was a disaster! The ribeye steak was incredibly tough and far too salty, and the skate with capers was swimming in butter and completely tasteless! All this with a very poor presentation. It's a real shame—good customer service but awful food.

07/06/2026: Did you know that the whole point of a cocktail is that you shouldn't taste the alcohol? 🤣 At 7 pm, I came to celebrate a birthday and ordered a signature cocktail for €14, "The Exotic Sunset"... the ingredients included white rum, mango syrup, passion fruit juice, lime, etc. I tasted my much-anticipated cocktail, and to my surprise, I only tasted a mixture of juice and water without the characteristic rum flavor. I immediately shared this concoction with my companions, who all agreed with me... one even asked if it was Tropical Oasis! 🤣 At that point, my six oysters arrived at the table (they were very good, by the way). I took the opportunity to politely ask the waitress if I could have a little more rum in my cocktail (although I doubt there was any in it). Without a moment's hesitation, she replied with this magnificent phrase: "Sir, the whole point of a cocktail is not to taste the alcohol," adding, in a loud voice, "I can see about adding more, but be aware that it will be charged." I refused. Outrageous. Not customer-friendly. Might as well have fruit juice if the point is not to taste the alcohol 🤣 19 people seated for a birthday, over €700 spent at the table, and not a single gesture of goodwill... They seriously need to rethink their approach. The meal was decent, but the portions were too small. The €26 beef dishes are, in my opinion, a poor investment unless you're on a diet. I also doubt the crepes were made that day (they were cold and dry). I'll conclude by saying that my experience at this establishment last year was much more satisfactory. I won't be back a third time. Best of luck. 🙂

07/06/2026: I loved our family lunch by the water. The staff is lovely and efficient, the food is delicious with fresh, homemade ingredients (special mention for the smash burger!), and the setting is beautiful! The children play in the sand while waiting for their food—it's fantastic! We will definitely be back.

21/04/2026: We asked if the pizzas contained any traces of fish, unfortunately they did, and my partner had a severe allergic reaction. Frankly, the pizzas weren't good at all, but the price was reasonable considering the quality.

11/04/2026: I ordered a salmon pizza, but I got a mushroom pizza instead, with three tiny pieces of salmon on a large pizza... the crust was rubbery, in my opinion, a pizza from the morning. Let's just say it was disgusting... It's shameful... €20.50 for a crappy pizza, and I even had guests! How embarrassing... Following my complaint last Monday, I received a free replacement pizza with delivery. No complaints, it was generously topped and excellent... thank you!

10/05/2026: Few satisfied customers leave reviews, so I'm doing it. In terms of value for money, the bar is set high. We're always amazed by the size of the Pépitos and the maxi pain au chocolat—they're so big and delicious. You can tell everything is homemade. Sandwiches can be remade upon request, before a certain time. Special mention for the Pépito and the brookie!

11/04/2026: I'm very disappointed with my visit to this bakery. The saleswoman was unfriendly and haughty. The hygiene also leaves much to be desired. We were treated like dogs. There was shouting at the baker from the back of the shop. I don't recommend this bakery in Caen; go to one on the coast instead, you'll find a much warmer welcome!
