16/09/2024: We love coming to the Tavern but it has deteriorated a lot. Our last experience really disappointed us: we ordered the dish wrong, I was served something that I didn't order. Then we were seated near the bar and that was the last straw. The bartender has confused a restaurant and a nightclub, extremely foul language, he speaks with his colleagues and replies, I quote, "I don't care", "what are these scoundrels drinking?" Anyway, let’s move on, really hateful. When paying the bill, we are asked if everything went well, we simply say that the bartender needs to rethink his language and speak less loudly and then they laugh in our faces... Just as before that was very good but I don't recommend it

16/09/2024: Service was extremely slow, and basic items were so poorly made that they were essentially inedible.

27/08/2024: Very good dishes, apart from the fish gratiné which we do not recommend because it has little fish and many vegetables drowned in a cream-based cream. the joue de boef and the duck very good. Recommended. The very kind guys guided me with the choice of lactose-free dishes, eliminating the parts that I couldn't eat (flakes in the carpaccio and ice cream in the crumble). The gentleman who welcomed us however was not as helpful. When I went in to ask for another fork, seeing as I had dropped it, he responded in a less than polite manner, first not understanding and then sending me back to the table without ever appearing with the fork (what does it take to understand "fourchette"?).

24/08/2024: Saturday August 24, 2024, CB ticket 12:44 p.m., without invoice. Culinary adventures over the hills and sometimes through the valleys, the proof below at l'Insolite with the singular welcome of a boss trying to copy the southern style. Despite a number of very negative comments and the rain encouraging me to settle down quickly, I went to this tourist restaurant. Note the multiple references on site to “Maître Restaurateur” which encourages confidence. Also note that I cannot find any reference to this restaurant in the Gault et Millau guide, perhaps an old edition... As a starter I order a plate of seafood for 24 euros and a glass of Sancerre for 8 euros. Findings On the plate served to me there were three errors to my detriment and one fault concerning a langoustine. A few gray shrimps are present in addition. Either in relation to the menu consulted: 3 oysters served out of 4 planned 8 whelks served out of 10 planned 1 langoustine out of 2 with disintegrated flesh, i.e. 50% loss 4 pink shrimps served out of 8 planned Consequence Eager to stop the charges and given the number of malfunctions, I called the server to inform him of my observations. After paying, I decide to quickly leave this “Master Restaurateur”. My two recommendations: 1 Avoid this place, very well placed to attract visitors and tourists. Or 2 Go there with knowledge of the problems that have arisen by myself as well as other more vindictive customers. As a bonus to this unfortunate experience you can play counting the gaps using the attached photo.

10/04/2024: It is an absolutely recommendable restaurant with really good cuisine (starter, main course and dessert) with a commercial and welcoming spirit. The 5 stars are deserved

01/08/2024: The cocktails are pretty good, the atmosphere is nice... On the other hand, by ordering a “smoked fish” board I really had the impression of having fallen into a tourist trap! 16 euros for 4 pieces of dry fish and 4 slices of bread... copy to review on that!

14/07/2024: A must for a drink. Very dynamic boss with a keen eye to make you feel comfortable.

24/09/2024: Reception on covered and heated terrace. Our table neighbors smoked throughout the meal (very unpleasant). Average quality cuisine and expensive for the dishes served. 31 euros for an escalope Really nothing exceptional,

23/09/2024: A mythical, exceptional sole (a little expensive qd mm despite the exceptional.. 60€) which barely overshadows the other tasty dishes, it is in Normandy and the cream flows generously...hummm

21/09/2024: Seafood platter at 59€ great the menu at 39€ really excellent the very qualified staff very attentive to their customers frankly you have to do it top notch cooking

14/09/2024: The food was delicious, but our enjoyment of the meal was spoiled by appallingly slow service.

25/09/2024: The food looks like it was taken out of the pre-packaged box in the kitchen and warmed up. There can be no question of fresh and handmade. But food arrived quickly, which is no surprise given this ready-made food

24/09/2024: Small, welcoming place, excellent food, smiling staff, fast service, moderate prices. Very good

14/09/2024: Very pleasant server. Very hearty and excellent dish. We had a great time and we will happily return

30/08/2024: On voulait essayer ce restaurant , connaissant celui de deauville qui avait été plutôt satisfaisant. Mais la !!! Intérieur bien vieillot comme laissé a l abandon , aucun client et la table proposée au fond de la salle coté cuisine… bon il n etait que 20 h Notre choix ;couscous jarret et végétarien pour mon épouse. Et la !!!!un constat surprenant ;Les légumes a force d être réchauffés et baignés dans leur jus etaient mous , aucune saveur ni soupçon d epices , viande bien servie mais …😪 Et pour finir , un thé sans menthe fraiche ,l addition bien salée : seul point positif le service … ca sera la 1 ere et dernière fois. Dommage.

28/03/2024: A gourmet that does not lack originality. We move away from the standards when the chef offers us the combination of cauliflower and beer ice cream or coffee and (homemade) calva. An atypical audacity that challenges our taste buds. You may not like it, although personally I am won over. Basically, a 6 or 7 movement menu (= dishes) with possibly a combination of alcohol (wines and spirits) is offered in the evening. Expect around €60 for the menu alone, €40 more with drinks. The service is delicate and attentive, tastes and allergies are taken into account from the moment you arrive. The room offers a modern atmosphere with photographic montages mixing music and cuisine, a cross between two artistic movements. I can only recommend this type of experience, for the love of discovery. 4.9/5

22/03/2024: We leave the restaurant to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary, the waitress who has been warned puts us in an empty room, not very friendly, a discovery meal not up to the price, lack of flavors, not hot and when we have settled, not a word is said to know if we had been satisfied so too bad for us we did better 45 years ago

21/09/2024: Ice cube punch served by hand without gloves, mint in water, mint put in the crystal bottle, Suckling pig, slice of ham on the plate, no carafe of restaurant water to leak

09/09/2024: The quality of the main course is no longer the same, today hard fries without pulp in the formula at €15.50 +€1 for coffee. Reduced service, now it's cheese or dessert for the same price and an extra charge when you have a long coffee (not a double, so €0.40 for extra hot water). The atmosphere is good and the service welcoming.
