29/09/2024: Passing through Cabourg with my mother, we finally decided to come to Houlgate late to eat. At past 9 p.m., it was the only restaurant that welcomed us, we were very well received, with a smile and a friendliness that is rare today. We ate really well and were not disappointed to have come to eat there. We'll come back!

18/11/2025: We ate at Auberge de la Touque this past Sunday, November 16th, for a birthday celebration, and we were pleasantly surprised. It's true we had seen some negative reviews and photos that left us a little perplexed and wary, but we were pleasantly surprised, especially considering the criticisms left about this restaurant. In the end, the staff was very friendly, we received a very warm welcome, and from the appetizer to the dessert, the dishes were excellent and beautifully presented. We had absolutely no complaints about the service. It's true the place is cozy and charming, but perhaps a little dim. Apart from that, everything was great, and we will gladly return.

02/11/2025: Excellent restaurant. We came as a family on November 1st. The dishes are as refined as ever. Our table was served by a delightful waiter named Tom. He was very friendly, attentive, and offered excellent advice. Tom is highly motivated, and we wish him all the success he deserves. Kudos to his supervisor! A place not to be missed.

06/07/2025: Minimalist, almost clinical decor. The essentials are elsewhere. Little touches that make all the difference. The order is barely placed when the cider arrives on the table with peanuts. As for the galettes, nothing to complain about: Original and generous, they're delicious with the homemade buckwheat dough, accompanied by a welcome green salad. Two generously garnished galettes, a pitcher of cider, and two coffees for €32. It's more than reasonable. All served with enthusiasm, which is great!

26/01/2026: Nothing to complain about, everything is perfect!!!

02/01/2026: We went there with friends for lunch. They refused to serve free water; you had to buy bottled water, even though all restaurants are supposed to offer water to customers, especially since I had already bought a drink. The waiter reluctantly agreed to give me a small glass of water, explaining that they didn't usually do that and that I would have to buy a bottle. To avoid causing a disturbance, I made several trips to the restroom to refill my glass. They made a mistake with my main course and gave me someone else's dish. I was practically scolded, told I should have checked myself. I was a bit distracted; I was being served, I trusted them, and I didn't notice it wasn't the right dish. Anyway, I left feeling annoyed. The food itself was decent, but the service was lacking.

07/12/2025: Truly one of the best pizzas my wife and I have ever had. Cooked perfectly. Waiting time was perfect. Price: very reasonable. I highly recommend this place... You won't be disappointed. Oh, one last thing: if they run out of snacks, they'll call you to ask if you can replace them with something of the same price. Now that's thoughtful!

08/07/2025: A group of 20 people welcomed us on the evening of June 17th by the smiling and friendly manager on the terrace in a peaceful setting on a charming little stone square. We had a choice of 3 starters, 3 main courses, and 3 desserts; everything was perfect. Quality service. We highly recommend this place.

30/06/2025: A friendly atmosphere, as well as the staff. For one, the tripe was worth the detour. For another, a perfect burger, apparently. And the third settled for a salad, not bad! We're even tempted to come back. Too bad it's so far away.
