05/08/2026: While passing through Caen, we wanted to try this restaurant, but unfortunately, we were very disappointed. We ordered karaage, sushi, miso soup, and ramen. The chicken, sushi, and soup were decent, although some of the ingredients seemed frozen. However, the ramen was a real letdown. How can you call yourself a Japanese restaurant and serve ramen with... spaghetti instead of noodles? The broth was good, but it was nothing like real ramen. The egg was still cold, clearly defrosted in a hurry. Finally, although I suspect it wasn't entirely your fault, the fruit flies were absolutely unbearable. I couldn't even finish my drink; there were some in it. It's a real shame, because we were expecting a very different experience.

05/08/2026: A terrible experience. Frankly, it was inedible. The sushi had no flavor whatsoever, and it was clear the ingredients weren't fresh, but frozen. Besides being awful, the sushi pieces were tiny. As a result, we barely ate anything and had to buy more to have dinner because the portions were so small and the quality so poor. To top it all off, an item was missing from our order. Between the poor-quality ingredients, the ridiculously small portions, and the order error, it was a huge disappointment. I absolutely do not recommend this establishment.

30/07/2026: Wir hatten einen fantastischen Abend bei Stéphane Carbone, besonders mit Mehdi, der im Service sympathisch und wortgewandt auf all unsere Wünsche eingegangen ist. Wir hatten a 7-Gang Menu and the vegan 4-Gang Menu were sogar etwas erweitert, damit keiner dem anderen nur beim Essen zuschauen musste. Die Weinbegleitung war ebenfalls wunderbar. Ganz besonders wird unas Dessert in Erinnerung bleiben, das mit einer Tomate einen ungewöhnlichen Hauptdarsteller hatte. Also a Hund will be wunderbar umsorgt. We had a fantastic evening at Stéphane Carbone's, thanks in particular to Mehdi, who was very kind and articulate in answering all our questions. We enjoyed a seven-course menu, and the four-course vegan menu was even slightly expanded so that no one was left simply watching the other eat. The wine pairing was also wonderful. The dessert will remain a highlight and a memorable moment, showcasing an unusual star ingredient – ​​the tomato. Our dog was also very well looked after. Thank you so much!

The service is also fantastic, attentive, and accommodating! Just one small tip: be careful with the homemade bread, it's truly addictive 😄… so you can save room for dessert, where you'll always find a little piece of your favorite cake 🍰. In short, I've been eating there regularly for three years, and I never get tired of it!!
