10/09/2024: Même si je n’aime pas dire ça, : c’était tellement mieux avant. La cuisson des viande était déplorable. Jamais vu un tataki de bœuf comme cela. La jeune serveuse est vraiment nonchalente, et la véranda fuie sur les clients et le propriétaire n’a vraiment pas l’air de prendre ça au sérieux. Il faut vraiment revoir le professionnalisme de ce restaurant. Dommage je ne reviendrai pas.

21/08/2024: Service is what I would have expected from a Michelin rated restaurant But the food was - how do I put this in a charitable way - experimental. And not in a good way. It seemed as though the chef was trying something different for difference’s sake giving no regard whatsoever to the actual taste of the food. Chefs should be free to experiment. But I’ve never felt more like a guinea pig and subjected to discombobulated and incoherent combination of flavors than I was at this restaurant. Everything was cooked impeccably. The presentation was beautiful. The bread, the vegetables, the fish and the meat were cooked absolutely well. The problem was - none of it tasted good. Isn’t that the point of good food? Bring joy and happiness? I have a feeling that the chef might look down on this review and tell me that I don’t know what I’m talking about. But he doesn’t work in an experimental kitchen - he works at a Michelin rated restaurant where he needs to cater to a broad range of palates. And even though I think I have a dynamic appreciation of food, I also think that I possess a relatively discerning standard for what tastes good and what does not Without any doubt, Le Cap definitively fell into the not delicious category. When I studied music, I was told about some experiments where the composers wanted “liberate the dissonance” and avoid the tyranny of any repetition in sounds. So they created this piece where no harmony was found and nothing repeated. Even though such music was…interesting, it was absolutely horrid. It was not pleasing. It didn’t move me. I never wanted to listen to it again. And I didn’t. For the same reason, don’t think I will be returning anytime soon, which is a shame. This restaurant could be so much more.

10/09/2024: We had a 3 course lunch menu. The food was very tastefully prepared and tasted very tasty. The service was very friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended.

04/09/2024: Very good evening, “blind” menu in 4 courses with a perfect bottle of Red Burgundy. Everyone had a great time. Very original dessert (yeast ice cream and beer siphon). Well done.

07/07/2024: We were able to enjoy an excellent meal prepared by Sandine who managed to cope despite being deprived of electricity following the deliberate degradation of her connection to the public electricity distribution network.

02/06/2024: On this day of our wedding anniversary, we shared a special moment with Sandrine, this outstanding Chef, who alone takes care of the cooking, baking and service, so Bravo and thank you for this good time. Above all, don't hesitate for a moment to sit down at one of Sandrine's tables, everything is perfect, good humor and a smile as a gift.

26/09/2024: Fabulous food, best we had in the two weeks in the South of France. Fois gras was excellent, the burrata was the creamiest we have every had, daube with ravioli was comfort heaven and the seared tuna was wonderful. All finished with an amazing chocolate mousse. In addition the service was excellent, friendly and very helpful. Will be heading back very soon.

24/09/2024: Restaurant traditionnel niçois avec une cuisine typique et très bien réalisé , un service efficace mais peu convivial, par contre un accueil du patron très agréable et des prix raisonnable un bon moment

01/09/2024: I am not in the habit of leaving negative comments, I always prefer to abstain so as not to penalize a business but today I am going to make an exception. I am writing this comment to explain the humiliating situation that my fiancée experienced in your establishment and the lack of respect towards her. Today on the road with my fiancée I had to stop urgently when she started having pain following a urinary infection. I dropped her off in front of your restaurant, gave her some change so she could use your toilet and offered to compensate you. The person who received her (a tall, dark-haired gentleman with glasses) was very rude, first by making fun of her accent (she speaks English or French with an American accent) then by refusing her the access to toilets. By insisting because it was an emergency she was finally able to access the toilet but she almost had to beg to get there. When she was leaving, she did not immediately see the person who had given her access to the toilet. This gentleman took the liberty of making a comment to her because she was leaving without saying thank you, even though he had had to beg him just before to access the toilet. Knowing my fiancée, she would not only have left your toilets spotless but I also know that she offered to compensate you (I myself gave her €15 so that she could compensate you) so what is the problem? Not only is this attitude humanly deplorable (contempt for strangers, refusal to help a person in need) but also commercially you lose an opportunity to gain new customers. You are wrong all along. Just because you have a fine restaurant doesn't mean you can afford to behave so badly towards someone who asks you for help. I'm not leaving the minimum rating because it would be mean to your establishment and I don't know if this incident is representative of everyday life but I think you should really seriously review the way you treat people.

19/09/2024: Menu looked appealing although prices seemed a bit high. We ordered the grilled steak and octopus and a carafe of red wine. Grilled steak was a good size but half of it was fat and inedible. Octopus was a decent size and cooked well. Also ordered the chocolate mousse which the waiter recommended. Overall food was decent but again the price value was not worth it. If the steak was not 40% fat it would have been better. What was quite disappointing was their credit card reader was equipped with an additional step to include a percentage tip on top of the bill. This was one of the only places that required that additional step. And yes, we were not required to add gratuity but the instructions on the machine was in French and could not easily translate. The waiter stood there and explained that it was for a tip. I thought European culture eschews tipping culture!?! For this reason alone, I would not return or recommend this restaurant.

15/09/2024: Quelle excellente surprise! Après être passé devant pendant des années en vélo, je regrette de ne pas m’être arrêté plus tôt! Ce midi, nous avons fait 85 km pour aller y déjeuner en couple. L’accueil est tres agréable. Le service est tres rapide, la nourriture maison est d’excellente qualité. Les prix sont tout à fait corrects , la nourriture copieuse et excellente. Tout est propre. Les toilettes sont propres. Le personnel est gentil, souriant, rapide, attentionné, franchement le top. 22/09/2024: Great place, sea view. The prices are not excessive for the setting, the mojitos at €7 are a real plus. The service is very friendly even though we were a large group. To park there is the Port Lympia car park next door. The place is clean

22/08/2024: The dishes offered are as good as they are varied. In addition, the people working in this restaurant are adorable and warm. I regularly come to eat at their place after my sports sessions and I have never been disappointed. I highly recommend!

22/08/2024: Very unassuming from the outside, one might get the impression that it is a fast food type place, but there is a nice quiet seating area in the back away from the bustle outside. The food is very good and didn't take too long. For two filling meals and two coke zeros we paid 40 euros, and got cold water free with it.
