17/05/2026: At Hortense's, you have to go for the local color. The food is good, but we were rushed; our plates were taken away as soon as we'd finished our last bite. The restaurant is very noisy.

03/04/2026: While passing through the area, we stumbled upon this restaurant completely by chance… and what a delightful surprise! Everything was absolutely delicious! We especially loved the apple, Camembert, and honey crisp! Thanks also to the owner, who was simply radiant and lovely!

09/05/2026: Visited early on a Saturday morning in our first day in Bordeaux. Greeted with a friendly smile from the staff and enjoyed a nice conversation in my broken French and English. Almond croissants were delish, as was the coffee. I would definitely return and recommend. PS hey, it may not be a high end Boulanger but the croissants were wonderful as were the staff.

The food is worth trying at least once in your life, and the prices are justified by the quality and the staff's dedication to the dishes. I highly recommend it.

22/05/2026: Logis de France, the hotel is clean and retains its original charm. The decor is from the 80s 🥳 The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week; it's best to call ahead to be sure and make a reservation. The reception is efficient. This Pentecost weekend 2026, the hotel is booked for 23 motorcyclists with parking and catering. The first terrace at the front is nice, and the second terrace at the back is very large and shaded 👍 Excellent. I highly recommend it!

28/05/2026: An excellent restaurant, but the service lacked professionalism. On the culinary side, there's nothing to complain about: we ate very, very well. The dishes were expertly prepared, flavorful, and of high quality. A truly excellent choice for the taste buds. However, the experience was more mixed regarding the welcome. Yes, it was very, very hot that day, and we can understand that the conditions were harsh. But that doesn't excuse everything: for the start of the season by the sea, one expects a professional attitude. Unfortunately, the waitresses' gracefulness was frankly lacking, and the service proved very inefficient. A heatwave can happen, but professionalism and a smile should still be the order of the day. It's a shame, because the setting and the food deserve much more attentive and welcoming service!

07/12/2025: I came to eat at this restaurant on Thursday at lunchtime, it was great! The appetizer and dessert buffet was fantastic, as well as four main courses to choose from—a real treat! I highly recommend this restaurant.

The recommendations were excellent, accurate, and precise—everything you could expect from true professionals. As for the quality of the meal, it was flawless. I was 100% satisfied, hence this review. We will definitely be back.

22/03/2026: The meal was good but wasn't ready to be served. They had to reheat our Camembert, which hadn't melted, and the fries were cold. They tasted like they'd been reheated several times, and were mealy. It was a real shame. The same thing happened to our neighbor at the next table; they had to reheat his cold dish in the microwave almost as soon as it was served. Only three dishes were available out of about ten on the menu. The atmosphere wasn't pleasant, and there was an intimidating dog inside the restaurant. The dining room is very small, making it difficult to move between the tables and the kitchen. There were no more than ten of us in the restaurant at the time, and I think it could have been much better with some organization and a smile. It's a real shame because it's a beautiful place that makes you want to spend a lovely time there.

25/05/2026: As a fairly regular customer of Bistrot Régent, and this particular location since 2021, I've noticed a significant drop in quality and a sharp increase in prices this May 2026. The beautiful ribeye steak I ordered rare was not; it wasn't a good cut at all. It was practically inedible: tough and burnt. We mentioned the meat to the waiter after the meal, but perhaps we should have mentioned it at the beginning. There was very little Charmélcia sauce. The service used to be better; in an hour, not a single waiter came to our table to ask if everything was alright or if we wanted more fries or a carafe of water (which we eventually asked for). We were only asked rather belatedly if we wanted water with dessert. I had already noticed a decline in the quality of the grilled duck breast and occasional shortages of the beautiful ribeye steak and/or the duck breast. We ordered a decaf coffee, but were served a regular one at 9 pm… The restrooms are clean but smelly. We asked for a receipt at the end: it wasn't itemized… no way to check what was ordered. On the plus side: the servers are friendly and try their best, the order is taken quickly, and the service is generally quite fast. There are almost always tables available, and the air conditioning works. The fries and profiteroles haven't changed and are still just as good as before. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be returning to Bistrot Régent after this €60 disappointment…!

25/05/2026: Good value for money, which is perfectly in line with the Bistro Regent. Very fast service and very pleasant waitresses.
