04/08/2026: I am denouncing this business, its owners, and their waiter, Jean, because I ate there with my family three weeks to a month ago. I reported animal abuse to the owner, Jean (who took it very badly and was extremely rude and vulgar). I also alerted the restaurant manager and the owner at the reception desk. Their waiter, Jean, has a dog in the parking lot, chained under his caravan, suffering and miserable in the heatwave. I left a note written on a restaurant napkin (photo attached). But they ignored my warning, even though I regularly pass by the restaurant since I live in Montpellier and am a regular customer. So either you ACT because this is not the place for a dog, or I'll call the SPCA for animal abuse and also the police because I think it's also illegal to live in your caravan in your workplace's parking lot. Because we regularly pass by every day, even on closing days and hours, and the blue caravan belonging to their waiter, Jean, is in their parking lot. P.S.: ACT BEFORE I ALERT THE APPLICABLE AUTHORITIES!!!!

12/08/2026: Honestly, everything was perfect: we wanted a quick and affordable meal in a welcoming place! Everything was spot on, the staff were incredibly friendly and smiling, the menu prices were unbeatable, and the service was very fast. I wouldn't hesitate to return if I'm ever in Montpellier again.

A nice little bit of entertainment, as well as the arrival of the "bomb" cocktail, which made the whole experience very immersive. An excellent time for both children and adults.

26/07/2026: To start with the positives, the food was very good, the value for money was excellent, around €35 ​​per set menu is perfectly acceptable, and as regulars of the restaurant for several years, I can't say I was disappointed in that regard. However, our visit this year was very negatively affected by the excessive wait between courses. Having arrived at 8 pm, we had to be patient until around 10 pm to even see our main courses. It's long, really very long, and it was much harder to appreciate the food after waiting so long... Having experienced faster service for the same quality in the past, I can't help but think the restaurant is going through a rough patch and that the staff is perfectly aware that the service they offer is far from ideal. However, it's hard not to be critical when we were never informed about the preparation of our food, received no apology for the wait, or even a word about it. I don't mean to sound harsh, but when a restaurant's wait forces its customers to change their evening plans and, above all, jeopardizes their enjoyment of the food, it's important to point it out! Finally, I feel it's important to add to the menu that the daily specials are an additional charge on top of the original set menu price, as the staff most likely forgot to mention this, and we were surprised to find out about it on the bill when we paid. 25/07/2026: The welcome was adequate, nothing more. The service was far too slow: starter, main course, and dessert took 2 hours and 45 minutes. That was a deal-breaker for us. The food itself was good, but it lacked that little something extra that makes all the difference (crunch, spice, etc.). It lacked originality. The monkfish was perfectly cooked, but the swordfish was way overcooked. Overall, I think this restaurant is overrated.

07/06/2026: A small, friendly, yet intimate restaurant; authentic and generous cuisine, something for everyone. The seating is comfortable, and even the soft music is good :)

27/05/2026: If you're planning a party and don't want to cook, call the owner of Le Chat Noir! I ordered crudité platters for appetizers from her; they were beautifully presented, fresh, and very generous! These platters came with ramekins of various dips, all excellent! The quality-price ratio is unbeatable! Don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed!

25/07/2026: We are regulars as we live in Marseillan, Thursday evening for the second time we were very disappointed with the ice creams and especially the 2 peach Melba the cups were half empty the decoration of the ice cream shabby we were looking for the peach, very disappointing.

28/07/2026: We do not speak French, so communication was difficult and the staff clearly showed that they were annoyed. As for the food, DO NOT order the risotto.

28/07/2026: I was very disappointed with this restaurant. There were an unbelievable number of flies and mosquitoes, which made it impossible to enjoy the meal. There was also no proper menu. Instead, they had a strange board with dishes scribbled on it, making it difficult to take your time and choose what you wanted. It felt unprofessional and childish. To make matters worse, the food wasn’t even good. Despite that, they charge prices you would expect from a high-end restaurant. In my opinion, you can only justify luxury prices if you consistently deliver luxury quality. The service was equally disappointing. This is a tourist location, yet the staff barely spoke English and repeatedly failed to understand what we were trying to order. We even ordered a cocktail that never arrived. After waiting long enough, we simply gave up and left. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience, and I would not recommend this restaurant.

02/08/2026: We just went back and there's no table service, but the food is good and very generous. The service is quick and friendly, all for a very reasonable price.

21/07/2026: A reasonably priced snack bar for a stroll in La Grande-Motte. The cook did a great job. Quality ingredients. And above all, they're not stingy!
