12/04/2026: Home-style Turkish cuisine made with fresh ingredients, prepared by the owner. Note the excellent couscous with lamb shank on Fridays. A warm welcome and a lovely view of the canal from the two small terraces (two tables for two).

21/04/2026: Second visit... Surprise... The brand-new waitress was very friendly and smiling, while the second one, who seemed rather "older," was less pleasant. The plates were practically thrown onto the table, cold; I ordered a ribeye steak, which was cold, and my husband's duck breast was also cold. When dessert arrived, we were served again by the young new waitress, and it was much better.

13/04/2026: Popular with lunchtime locals, Le Helder is right next to the church in the centre of town and offers value and decent, honest grub. Fast, friendly service. We have lamb chops and chicken burger between us, aperos, a medium pichet of red and of course coffee. €50, no complaining from me. I noticed the charcuterie and cheese board door two at another table looked impressively large and varied, will give that a whirl next time.

02/05/2026: The welcome is particularly warm, kind, and attentive. It's a site open to everyone, where everyone can enjoy their visit in a peaceful and pleasant setting. A wonderful discovery for families, which we wholeheartedly recommend. We will gladly return!

07/05/2026: We stopped with children to eat at this restaurant located on a pedestrian street. The chicken spring rolls were a bit overfried, and the dishes had a lot of noodles and not much meat, but otherwise the service was very friendly.

21/05/2026: Still as good as ever, I also use them for professional events: buffets, breakfasts, afternoon teas, meal trays, birthday cakes. Fantastic! Plus, I just heard they're opening a new pastry shop in Montpellier. So happy, it's delicious!!! This weekend I ordered a flan ;-)

12/05/2026: Typical yet unique. A small bar/restaurant where the food (Portuguese specialties) is homemade and the owner goes out of his way to make you feel welcome. He was managing the bar and restaurant all by himself, yet he still took excellent care of his customers. Thank you.

06/04/2026: The welcome was so-so, no smiles, cold. The food hygiene was poor; when they opened the kitchen door, you could see the very dirty walls and floor. When you order and eat there, they make mistakes among themselves, there's a lack of communication between staff, and when you ask for the food that's still in the mix, the manager gets involved. He's unpleasant and aggressive towards the customer. The cheese wasn't chilled, and at 30 degrees Celsius, it was our first time there, and it will be our last. I will spread the word about the staff, especially the manager who is impolite. A Coke costs €3.50, pff. I advise you against eating there.

03/06/2026: I'm not a foodie or a fan of 3-star restaurants... but wow! 😳 The fries were awful, and the highlight was the dessert: candied apricots, whipped cream, and a scoop of ice cream... Was it made by a child in the kitchen? It makes you wonder... Awful and expensive!!! In short, you're better off getting a sandwich from Intermarché or going to Blachère.

25/05/2026: We ate at the brasserie today, May 25, 2026, and as usual, everything was perfect. The waitresses were very friendly, the beef tartare was excellent with a generous side dish, and we loved the decor. The place was clean. Thank you to the whole team, and a pat for Réglisse. 17/05/2026: Hello. On May 17th, around 3 pm, I ordered a Nutella waffle with a scoop of chocolate ice cream and whipped cream. To begin with, the young man at the register was quite condescending. Then the waffle arrived with the whipped cream completely melted. When I started eating, I realized there were lots of bits of the waffle iron stuck in my waffle. I went over to the person who took the order, explained the situation, and without even apologizing, she replied, "It's not hard." Basically, the bits aren't hard, so I can eat them. Great. Not even an apology. I left.

14/05/2026: The ice cream shop is very cute, with lots of choices. And their homemade waffles are excellent! I recommend it.

07/09/2025: An unusual indoor setting with very original decor. The dishes are very good, beautifully presented, and generous. The servers are very pleasant. I recommend it.

23/05/2026: After a visit last September, we're back this May. The atmosphere is still as warm, the servers very friendly, and the menu is super good.

21/05/2026: Delicious dinner, very friendly service, lovely restaurant where we had a great time. The restaurant is open late into the evening. Very fast service (mid-May on a quiet evening). Delicious food, friendly and welcoming service, nicely decorated and comfortable place.

24/11/2025: Excellent restaurant! We had a mixed fish platter and scallop carpaccio on Saturday evening, and everything was delicious. The staff were very friendly, the welcome was very warm, and they even offered us a small digestif. Thank you, and we'll be back soon.

01/05/2026: Warm welcome, however the room was outdated, the bedspread was full of stains, the bathroom was not maintained, breakfast was not exceptional for the price, and there was no parking as indicated on the website

20/04/2026: Good for a short stay to discover the city, during the weekend. Perfect location. Restaurant inside not working. Missing: Fridge inside a room. Very friendly host!
